Alvaro quickly diagnosed the problem as a crack in the lower housing and suggested we try the Crystal Water Cartridge Filter 425 because it's more efficient and costs less than the Pentair filter. As he was testing the filter, he also discovered a clog in our "pop-up" pool cleaning system and fixed that. My husband was impressed with Mr. Lopez' work and asked if he could repair the drain channels in the pool deck that were cracked and dangerous. They cut out the old drains, installed ~30 feet of new Deck-O-Drains and re-plastered the drain channels with color-matched cement. Our pool is finally clean again - the new filter runs fewer hours and at much lower pressure. The drains on the deck look a thousand times better. The entire job was complete in 2.5 days and cost $2,500. True Pool Service did a great job and we highly recommend their work!

And the dirt didn't seem to be taken up no matter how much I swept it to the intakes. I was able to book an appointment with Excellent Pool Services and I explained I have the filters, o ring, and lube, just need the muscle to put the filter container back together again. Anderson was my technician and you'll see the old and new filters. Gross doesn't even come close. He cleaned out the bottom half and I got the top half. He pulled the drain plug and cleared all the assembly pieces. He totally cleared where the o ring sits. Recommended that I replace the 2 piece valve that sits on top and which piece uses plumbers tape and which doesn't and why. And that's for starters! My pool test strips-nope. Get the test that uses the liquids. Chlorine tablets-nope. Use the liquid type made for pools. Not household stuff for those who are new to pools. He told me how to clear the calcium ring around my pool from using chemicals that a chain pool place told me to use. A pumice stone. He told me where I can go to get parts and supplies. I feel like I am in class and I surely needed to take notes! He recommended that I not cover the pool in winter. I have tried so many ways to do so and now I know to not use chlorine and just keep the pool clean. I know I have the right company when their technician takes the time to explain the how's and why's to take care of your pool. I'm not good at the difference in the acids but i have the wrong kind at the moment. I'll get the right kind for sure. I found out mine is a fiberglass pool. I knew it wasn't vinyl but I would've guessed concrete. My pool water is circulating with power now. Its got new chlorine liquid working its magic right now. I'm going out to scrub my walls again and get this pool cleaned up fully so I can test it and get IN it!!! Its hot out here!!! After sending the estimate to only 1 Board Member of the Association. They refused to send it to the other 2 for review. I received a return phone call from Melissa who said they are retracting the bid. I believe this is an inside SCAM. I will be filing a complaint with the State of Nevada Contractors Board as well. Update: Scotts reply is inaccurate: 1 Awesome Pool Solution retracted the bid when it was requested to be provided to all board members. They are clearing hiding details regarding that bid from the rest of the board. The solution is to send the bid to everyone. Apparently there is something "Shady". Avoid this company at all costs. 2nd Update: Again Scotts reply is inaccurate. The main reason his company was contacted was for deck repairs. Therefore the comment "to pull a permit for work completed by another party" is false. No deck repairs have been completed by any company. This back and forth is proof they have no integrity. I will get to the bottom of this "shady" behavior or perhaps the State Contractors Board will do the honors. Please dont waste your time with this company.

Nowadays, pay more and get less has become a far more common trope than people realize. Consider it a sign of the times; a blight in the era of post-inflationary prices, where the sticker shock still holds you hostage in your own home, twists your arm and makes you scream uncle until you forfeit over your credit card because your options are as limited as buffet choices in this town, but I digress. This isn't a review about spoiled imitation crab cakes and all you can eat Doritos at The Feast (or was it The Beast?), but instead, it's about three guys doing the lords work and saving Vegas pools one acid wash at a time - spoiler alert - (whispers) they do SO MUCH more than just scrub plaster and blast tiles. More on that in a bit. Payless Pool Service became a family favorite, so-much-so, that we've used their service a handful of times in the past year and we don't plan on using anyone else to come near our pools. Jaded pool guys with a bad tan and every other word uttered being "bruh" is not part of the Payless credo as these classy chaps exemplify the professional attitude you come to expect from a family run business. With Steve running point and Danny and Diego on the wings grinding away calcium buildup on tiles and plaster, you can rest assured that you have experts that are committed to getting the job done right the first time. Let's start with the initial call. Steve promptly answered and said he could stop by the next day to assess the condition of my pool. Upon arrival, Steve took some measurements and asked if we'd like to also sandblast the tiles, as the calcium buildup was enough to start our own cheese farm. He showed us some pictures of the work his crew had done in the past and it didn't take much to convince us that along with the acid wash, the tiles DEFINITELY needed some much-needed TLC (see photos and compare for yourself). As far as pricing goes, I personally thought the quote was more than reasonable for both mine and my parents pool, especially when you consider how much work these guys did in the span of a few days. Not only did Diego and Danny sandblast the tiles back to 2004, they even made the plaster whiter than Erik Estrada's smile. Additionally, I had asked Steve if they could install a new vacuum side port, and without hesitation he said, "not a problem, we'll take care of it." (gasp!) Come again? You'll take care of it and not nickel and dime me!?! How refreshing that there are people out there willing to go above and beyond for a job, which just tickled my heart. It's the small things/gestures which makes a business shine in the eyes of the customer, because it's such a trivial thing for them that it didn't require a separate quote. Same with Diego when he finalized my parents' job. They just purchased a new Zodiac MX6 vacuum and needed help with the initial operation. Without hemming and hawing or hand-wringing or face contorting, he said "SURE!" took the vacuum and its hoses out of the box and showed us step-by-step how to get the most out of it over time. These guys are such a delight to work with that I think the three of them should hold a TED talk for a lot of other contractors and service technicians in the valley on how to exhibit a professional demeanor, while still remaining affable and relatable to your customers. Kudos! Total time was no more than three days from drain to fill on both pools, which is about the amount of time it took you to read this Yelp! review, right? ;) Additionally, Diego returned and balanced the chemicals, took care of cleaning the pool filters and vacuuming up the remaining sand left behind. Payless also covers a whole litany of other services for your pool. We even asked about re-plastering and resurfacing the Kool/Cool Deck at some point in the future, and along with our initial encounter with Payless, they even repair old Jandy Valves. If you're looking for someone that values your time, gives you top notch service and isn't trying to bleed you dry with outrageous pricing that is so prevalent these days, please consider giving Steve and his guys at Payless a call for a quote.

Used these guys for two separate houses. First house last year they did decent and moved quick so I…read morethought I'd use them again. My personal house I'm not happy about a few things. The main thing is the rock wall. The job they did started rusting in under a month. Then the attempt to water seal the concrete left an eye sore and also dripped into the pool and on the tiles. I had to fix all of that myself because the more they tried to fix things the worse it got. The pipes for the waterfall leak inside and behind the wall causing white streaks everywhere. And in terms of time to complete, it was not great. Took nearly a month and a half because they would sometimes not come for a week at a time often without communication for days on end. The overall construction of the rock wall is not good or what was advertised in the quote. It looks very amateur and the structural issues will ensure that I will have issues now and down the line. I had to intervene several times and it still missed the mark. On the good side their prices are competitive and basic plastering and tiling seems to be alright so far, but I wouldn't use or reach out to them again. Nobody should expect their pool to look like this weeks after paying for a remodel.
