What an awesome spot !!!! I love a good coffee shop and this place is amazing!! I walked in to live music playing on a Sunday afternoon , I order a drip coffee which was reasonably priced ( $1 refills) and ended up sitting outside since it was beautiful weather . Absolutely loved the decor and staff was friendly.

Heard this coffee shop has free live music every day, so I had to make a stop here! I came on a Sunday around 11AM, and it was pretty crowded! Parking was a bit difficult since they have a small parking lot which was already full when I got there. Luckily, there is also street parking, and I found a spot quickly. Inside, the interior was rustic but charming, and the ambiance was very lively. There was a small line to order, but the employees were very efficient, so it moved quickly. The cashier was also friendly and polite! I ordered an iced latte and a chocolate croissant. Total came out to $10.64, a bit pricey for my liking but standard pricing compared to most coffee shops. Waited around 5 minutes for my order, and when I went to pick it up, the barista who made my drink gave me a smile! Customer service A+! My iced latte tasted standard. There's no sweetness added to it since I didn't want to pay extra lol, but they have a coffee bar with different types of milk and sugars. I added some sugar packets, and my latte tasted just how I like it. They also have a microwave next to the coffee bar which is super neat, so I heated up my croissant. The chocolate croissant was good, but I saved it for later since I wanted to crisp it up using my air fryer at home. Overall, my items tasted like most cafes I've tried, so they were fine but nothing to rave about. As for the music, the band (Gold Line Jazz Collective) played Jazz music, and they were amazing! I didn't stay for long since I had to leave, but I really enjoyed it. Honestly, I'd come here again just for the vibes and music! Really cool coffee shop that I'd recommend visiting.

Over ten coffee shops in eight days between Altadena and Irvine, Jones made itself the clear winner from the very first sip of their blackberry mocha! Sublime and sensational blend of brew and smooth flavors, we all were run over with the craft here. To be honest we lost our inhibitions a bit and came back not once but three more times before our flight two days later ending with the Jones in Hollywood Burbank! Their Maya chai base is mixed perfectly. My white chocolate mint gave real sweet creamy notes and that new bite of thingy herb which I've never had before. A bummer we couldn't stay in this eclectic reformed barn vibe but as the parking situation wasn't too accommodating glad to leave room for others. This is the espresso place I hope to see again next time I'm in California.

Came here on a Sunday with my best friend and was able to also get my Pasadena Coffee Passport stamped. Jones Coffee Roasters is located off of Raymond Ave. They have their own parking area with some spots, but there is also street parking as well. This place is very unique. It has that vintage antique aesthetic, but instead of being purely rustic, it feels curated in a fun, almost whimsical way. I ordered an Iced Caramel Latte & two Chocolate Chip Cookies. I enjoyed the latte and the cookies were fine, but still enjoyable. The vibe of the place makes it worth the visit. The other pasties looked very delicious so I do plan to come back to try those as well. FYI, I noticed two dogs in here so I believe they are dog friendly :)

Came here for the first time after lunch and I wish this place was closer to me! This cafe is so cool I was in love with the interior. When you first walk in you see how big this place is. So there's plenty of seating. There were so many antique pieces they use for furniture. I saw a wine bar on the other side of the coffee bar so I think they serve wine at night ? It wasn't too crowded when I went so they were able to take my order pretty quick. I got the iced latte and my mom got a hot coffee. Coffee was delicious. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to get coffee, meet with friends, or work.

One of the best. If not the best coffee shop in Pasadena. A must stop for locals and out of town visitors alike. Baristas are well versed in crafting the drinks. What I love about this place besides the pastries, coffee and drinks, is the eclectic vibe Live music is a staple and on Friday's you can score some great tamales. Oh. Btw there is a wine bar!!

Friday's at Jone's Coffee on Raymond... I almost grabbed the pre-fix breakfast burrito out of the fridge ... when the girl at the bar says... "We also got fresh tamales" "What kind!?" - I ask curious "Pork in red sauce " I almost interrupted her..."yes!" She smiles. The girl in line behind me... "I always come here on Friday's if I'm not eating tamales at home..." - that's code for "I'm Mexican " Well sista ... you don't have to be Mexican to enjoy a great tamale... My Dad's third wife is from Mexicali ; 25 years together ; RIP Dad... he passed away last year... 2/23 but his 30 years married to a woman from Mexicali... they say the third time is a charm...you can safely assume some of that Mexican culture has rubbed off on me over the years... as well ... So consider me Mexican... with a Mexican mother in law... she's my Mexi Mama... "This tamale is getting a check and a pass..." - my mind is saying It's Friday... What you waiting for... Grabbed an Oat Mocha and Raspberry scone thing to chase it down and a really strong day coffee refill for $1.00 set my food coma on delete... Jone's got that breakfast Menu on STRONG B!

Great coffee spot in Pasadena! During my Pasadena visit, I came across Jones Coffee Roasters. The cafe is very artsy with art all throughout. Very fun vibe! The menu consist of your basic coffee options, latte, espresso, Americana etc.. If you're not a coffee lover, there are non coffee options. There's pastry options as well if you need a quick bite. I got an iced vanilla latte which was perfect and a warm buttered croissant. Yum! There's plenty of parking which is always a big deal for me. They have both indoor and outdoor seating as well. Go check it out!

First time here. Looked up coffee spots. Love the decor. Pricing seems pretty competitive. They just have a reason why they have a microwave so it yourself warming. Friendly staff. I'm impressed because the m pretty particular about my coffee. Too bad I don't live nearby to come by more often. Love they play music, seems like a college town vibe. Coffee is great not tangy like a lot of fancy coffee shops. Banana bread was great. I was curious about the Guatemalan flag hanging by the cabinet. I loved that. They have the creamers in fridge and you can serve yourself. And they are great brands, tells me this place is not pretentious and customers can serve as much as they want. When I'm in town I will be going here.

I needed an area in the afternoon while my apartment was getting worked on, and this would've been the perfect place if not, for the fact that they have no Wi-Fi. There also aren't many areas to charge your laptop, which, if I knew beforehand, I would've gone somewhere else since most of the coffee shops, I've been to double as a working location nowadays. But because this space changes to a bar at night, I can understand why they don't have those things. The staff were really nice in their suggestions of drink, but I wasn't too impressed with the cappuccino that I got. It was a little water down and didn't quite give me the boost I needed. The store had ample space for seating, inside and out. And it was a pleasant surprise to see a jazz band playing around nine in the morning! Even if the coffee didn't wake me up, they sure did. I would come back again just for the live music.

Love the vibe here!! I work in old town & have heard so many good things about Jones so I finally stopped by recently to try them out. I love the interior, it's so pretty. It has a very cozy vibe which I find so important. The baristas were really friendly too and I had a great little conversation with a couple of them. I was on the go so I didn't get to sit and stay for a bit but the coffee was also 10/10! I'd love to come back here on a day off and stay for a bit. Do be mindful that it might be a little hard for you to find parking nearby!

Man oh man. It's been a longggggg time Jones! The last time I was here was 12 years ago when I was in the trenches of depression from a terrible breakup. It's nice to visit the locations you've come to in the past to see how much you've grown from the wearing and tearing of the years of life. I ordered an iced oat latte and it reminded me that it indeed does take a long time for a local coffeeshop to perfect their craft, which Jones has properly executed. I don't know what oat milk they use but I could taste the depth to it and enjoyed every single sip. They also had a live band playing Monday morning at 9am. I think they were called the Triple Shot (?) correct me if I'm wrong but I thoroughly enjoyed their set to start off my week. The inside of this coffeeshop reminds me of Lestat's in SD combined with a local bar along Route 66. It's giving: small town vibez.

Found out about this coffee shop through the Pasadena Coffee Passport and what a cute little hidden spot! It's pretty lowkey - I would've definitely missed it if I was driving by. There is a small parking lot in front but street parking is available as well. The inside is homey and cute - great character. It also doubles as a wine bar in the evening, which I'm obsessed with. We ordered lattes, which were solid and were met with friendliness and quick service. Great staff. I would definitely drop by for a coffee date, a wine night or even a WFH/study session.

Once you step inside, though, the space feels completely different--bright, airy, modern, and open, with a clean minimalist design. Seating is very limited, but the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with light music playing softly in the background. We were greeted with smiles and friendly hellos as soon as we walked in, and the employee who took our order was both knowledgeable and welcoming, happily answering questions about the coffee offerings. One thing we really appreciated was that they paired each coffee with a small sample of the dried ground beans so you could smell the aroma before taking your first sip. It was a fun and unique touch that enhanced the tasting experience. My husband's Emerald Series La Roca Sidra iced pour-over had a sweet, red wine-like aroma, while my Emerald Series Chiroso Imperial iced pour-over offered deep floral notes of jasmine and rich caramel. For food, my husband ordered the avocado mushroom open-faced toast, and I got the avocado mushroom smoked trout open-faced toast topped with cucumber, pickled red onions, and dill. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The coffees were especially memorable and showcased the care that goes into their roasting and brewing process. The only downside for us was the price. While the quality of both the food and coffee was excellent, we felt the portions were on the smaller side for what was charged. Overall, The Boy & The Bear offers delicious specialty coffee, thoughtfully prepared food, friendly service, and a chill atmosphere. If you're looking for a unique coffee experience and appreciate the nuances of specialty beans, it's definitely worth checking out.

She was genuinely engaged in talking about coffee, understood the beans she was serving, and was able to answer questions without hesitation. That's becoming harder to find these days, and it definitely added to the overall experience. The cortado itself was well executed. The temperature was right where it should be, allowing the flavors to come through immediately without having to wait for the drink to cool down. I was able to clearly taste the notes in the coffee, and the balance between the espresso and milk was excellent. The body held together nicely throughout the drink and never felt thin or watered down. My only critique would be that the crema and microfoam leaned a little more matte and foamy than glossy. It wasn't enough to take away from the drink, but a slightly silkier, shinier texture would have elevated it even further. That said, this was an Ethiopian natural, which can be a bit trickier to dial in and pair with milk while still preserving the character of the coffee, so it's a fairly minor criticism. Overall, a very good cortado from a shop that clearly cares about coffee. Good execution, proper temperature, clear flavor separation, and knowledgeable staff always make for a better coffee experience.

We got the: 1) Hojicha Latte: -We got this iced and you have the option to sweeten it with simple syrup or something else. We got this with a black sesame flavor and just the standard milk that it came with. -Not too sweet, but the taste of the sesame or even the hojicha can be a bit stronger as we've had similar drinks to this that were more appealing. 2) Iced Chocolate Milk: -I mean you can't really mess this up to be honest. It's mixed well and doesn't taste scathingly sweet like a bottled chocolate milk. My boyfriend got a no sugar coffee here and it still tasted pretty sweet (like unadjusted Starbucks sweet) and it was just tossed into my chocolate milk because he couldn't stomach it.
