Been having Jon's donuts for almost a decade. The family who runs Jon's is super nice. The donuts are always fresh and fluffy and I absolutely love their plain glazed and their maple! I used to come here for a treat regularly with the kids after church, but had to cut down on sweets *boo* still I can't resist their yummy donuts especially when a coworker brings them into work. I've also had their smoothies and croissant sandwiches which are also made fresh and very filling for breakfast or a quick lunch. I was driving by and diverted to stop and get a doughnut as a treat. I got a cake doughnut with white frosting and chocolate chips on top. It was really delicious and the price was very reasonable and very attentive service. I would definitely recommend. This spot had good, standard donuts. Someone from work brought in these donuts at our team day. I had the glazed and twist donuts and they were pretty good. Big, fluffy, and not too too sweet. Convenient and quaint. In the mood for Sunday donuts - Jon's is bookmarked so we gave it a try. Da plain, the donut by which I judge every other was decent; likely fresh and would have been great first thing in the morning. Can't say it was the best I've ever had, but it wasn't awful. The cinnamon crumb was fresh but not nearly as delicious as those served at Oh Those Donuts (now closed). The cinnamony Cronut at Redondough is probably better than the cinnamon version here, but I wouldn't discount Jon's especially if I had one first thing in the morning. Don't think I'll ever find another epic cinnamon donut like OTD, but I won't stop looking. At the time we stopped in, there was a steady stream of customers stopping in. Good sign. The maple donut loving housemate said she'd grade hers a B. Which isn't too shabby, she loves the maple rings served at The Donut in San Pedro - she grades them an A. I've lived in the area for many years, but only recently discovered Jon's Donuts by accident after stopping to fill up gas at the adjoining Shell gas station. I tried their twist donut (my favorite) and I must say it was the best twist donut I've ever had. It was light, fluffy, yeasty, and what I like most was it wasn't greasy at all. Most donuts leave grease marks on the paper packaging, but the donuts here had none whatsoever. (I don't know how they do it but they must have a special way of making their donuts so it doesn't absorb too much oil.) Most donuts make my stomach feel queasy, but I had no problems with the donuts I ate here. Their hot coffee is also excellent, and goes good with their donuts. I think I've just discovered my favorite donut shop in the South Bay. read more

That almost never happens!! 5/5 Second visit, I came for a donut crumble and a sandwich. How can you go wrong with a sandwich? It's hard to and for one below $5? You can't beat it. The crumble donut was soft and had this slight crunch on the exterior that was the clincher for me. The croissant sandwich wasn't bad at all. Would have been a 5/5 if the croissant had been warm or toasted, but, I'll still take it Yep, the locals know this place has it going on Price: More than reasonable and why I love mom and pop shops. My second visit, I got a small carton of milk, the crumble and the sandwich all for $6.45. Can't beat that price. Summary: If you're searching for a small business to support that makes great food, give these guys a try and you won't regret it. So I came back on a Friday morning to pick up a dozen to take to work. They seemed to have more of a selection and the donuts were a hit at work. I had a chocolate bar and it was pretty good. Nice and crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The chocolate was pretty good too. Tasted fresh and not greasy at all. It was also only $15.99 for a mixed dozen which is a pretty good deal these days. Would recommend stopping by and trying a few or even getting a dozen. He's allergic to chocolate, so they offered him a butterscotch one and they filled it with cream for him!!! We never had anyone do that right there and then!!! I was not expecting much as I have not really been impressed by any South Bay donut shops. The lady who helped me was friendly and courteous. Great service. Opted for some donut holes which were ok, 3 stars. She said they only had 15 left and it was around 7:30AM or so. The donut holes are super popular on a Sunday morning. The star of my visit was the blueberry donut. Nice crunch on the outside and moist on the inside. The donut was rich with plenty of tasty blueberries. A top notch donut. My favorite donuts are at a shop in Orange County. I LOVED the Apple Fritters from here and stopped by today (haven't been in a bit) cos I was craving one. Anyway, not sure if new owners, but I didn't see the couple that ran it for years. Now, to the fritter, it didn't look the same, but gave it the benefit of the doubt. After one bite, noticed it was greasy and oil logged. Then, it finished with a rancid oil flavor. Not good at all. Their bars are nice and fluffy compared to other locations that are super fried and almost no bread. So for about 15 years now I've been a customer at this fine establishment and would recommend to anyone in or around the area. Jon's Donuts was open and there were already customers inside. What I saw from other Yelp reviews is that they have BLUEBERRY CAKE DONUTS. Thank you for this, seriously. Why trek all the way to OC and wait for one hour when you can get fresh ones here for just as good (you know which place I'm talking about..) These donuts did not disappoint. On top of that of course they have the regulars - glaze (my fave!), old fashioned (second fave), sprinkles, chocolate, sugar, bear claws, etc. And it's super reasonably priced. Every time I come in, take a seat and enjoy a couple bites I see the regular customers walk in and are greeted with a first name basis. Thats true cilustomer service. Today was no different.
