Too Good To Go App Review I found this place while searching online for a quick snack to bring my partner at work. I originally planned on getting just two or three donuts, but I ended up leaving with a whole bag because everything looked so good! These aren't your average donuts..they're creative, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Even hours later, or even the next day, they still taste amazing. A few seconds in the microwave or air fryer makes them taste almost fresh again. There were so many donuts that my partner ended up sharing them with his coworkers, and they were a huge hit. It was nice knowing more people got to try them, especially since they all live nearby while we don't. Anyone I know who lives in that area will definitely be getting my recommendation. The customer service has been excellent both times I've visited. I've gone once during a busy rush and once when it was slow, and the service was just as friendly and efficient each time. I even asked the staff for their favorite flavors, and they were happy to share recommendations. I'll definitely be back for him to try more flavors. Fly me to the moon....Moon Donuts that is! A local gem in Redondo Beach in tiny strip mall on Torrance Blvd. Stopped by on a Sunday morning because I wanted to get two bagels with cream cheese. A few customers were ahead of me and the guy at the counter took care of them quickly. Lots of choices from standard, typical donuts to specialty ones as well as savory croissants and sandwiches. Check out my photos of donuts! I was here on Super Bowl Sunday morning and they had football donuts. At the cold beverages counter there were also many plastic to go cups filled with OJ. Moon Donuts shares a lime-green strip mall with a smoke shop and a chicken shop. But on a weekend morning, all of the bustle is donut-focused; expect a steady stream of customers. The hot menu is displayed on flat screens behind the counter, and coffee fixings are stacked on a stainless-steel shelf in the corner. My partner and I arrived mid-morning on a Sunday, and the staff were quick to take our order. We decided on an Apple Fritter and a Cookie Cronut. Moon's fritter was unlike any I've ever had. Uniquely, it was filled with walnuts, but the apple flavor was minimal; perhaps the donut would be more aptly described as a "cinnamon-walnut fritter". The dough was dense, crispy, and syrupy (all pros to me), but the absence of apple held this fritter back from being one of my favorites across LA. Meanwhile, the cronut was an ambitious and delicious-sounding option that fell flat in practice. The cookie was overcooked and mostly tasteless, while the donut was essentially just a ring-shaped croissant; both components were inferior to something I could buy at Costco. Rarely do I leave a donut on the table (especially a premium and expensive one like this), but I simply couldn't choke this one down. I ordered letter donuts for my boyfriend's birthday and was pretty disappointed. First, the letters were sloppy and the icing looked ok. As soon as I brought them home, we were really excited to try them out. To both of our surprise, they had zero taste! They weren't sweet. at. all. There wasn't any glaze and it was only blue icing, which wasn't sweet. I even called the store and asked about them and the lady said that's how they're done because it's too expensive to add glaze... wouldn't you think that the donuts' taste is as important as their look? Date: June 15, 2025 It was Father's Day and we were in the area on the way to redondo beach and wanted a little snack. I originally wanted some sweet bread but there's nothing in the area so I suggested donuts. We passed by moon donuts on the way to the pier so we stopped by. They have two different kinds of donuts. A 'regular' fridge and a 'fancy' fridge. The regular ones are the plain sugar, glaze, chocolate and sprinkles like you normally see at a donut shop and the fancier ones have different flavors like ube, cream, sprinkles/toppings, and so much more. We got a half dozen (11.99$) and thought we could pick anything but it's only out of the regular fridge. So we got those. She gave us 3 donut holes for my kids which was super sweet. The fancier donuts are priced at 3.50$ each. Which isn't bad but for what we wanted, it was out of our price range. But I will definitely be back to try some of those! They also do custom donuts too! The donuts were SUPER fluffy and so soft and so delicious!!! The sugar one was just *chef's kiss*. And the glaze was amazing ! We devoured them so quickly I wish we got a dozen! Came here on Father's Day. Ordered half dozen and 2 iced coffee and it was 30$ that alone is ridiculous. Then before I had the chance to give any kind of directions on my order she goes into the back and gives us two iced coffe with milk and a crap ton of sweetener in it. We both don't drink milk or use any sweetener. I ask if they can make it again with just iced coffee. She says no, that I have to tell her before hand and to drink some so that she can pour more coffee. I declined as again I don't drink milk or sweetener so drinking a little bit to make room wouldn't be an option. I took the drinks and left. My dad was extremly disappointed. The coffees turned out to be over priced and not consumable. As for the donuts they look mediocre. But not excited to try them after that interaction. The food is so much better than any donut shop I have been to. We decided to get several things and share. We had a bacon, omelet and cheese croissant and the croissant was perfect. It was light and fluffy and freshly made. The egg omelet and bacon were perfect. We loved their egg, hash browns and cheese burrito. It was so yummy. Their sausage, egg and cheese bagel was on a fresh egg bagel and was ever so good. We all had coffee which also was great. I never thought I would find such a great lunch at a donut shop. Their donuts are so good. They have a huge selection and if you order in advance you can have them make Happy Birthday donuts with the name spelled out on several donuts or whatever you want. DONT COME HERE! Or at least dont come here after hours. The lady who works overnight around 3-4 am had a really bad attitude. I dont know if she owns the place but she needs to be trained on customer service . My friends have been telling me about Moon Donuts but since I usually buy donuts for work I have never been this way because it's the opposite direction from work. This week I'm on staycation so why not enjoy it with yummy fried foods high in calories? Moon donuts is really close to my house in a small plaza. There's plenty of parking and since most of the stores aren't dine in, people come and go. We were lucky when we arrived there were only two customers in front of us because soon it was totally packed to overflowing. The donuts there are so pretty. My LO wanted the pick donut with gummy bears on top. My friend recommended the Apple fritter which is my favorite donut. I also ordered the croissant #1 which has bacon, cheese and eggs. I also ordered the hot tarp milk latte. Service is quick. We didn't wait too long for our sandwich and latte. The good: I'm over the moon for Moon Donuts! I ordered customized letter donuts that read "Here Comes the Son" for my baby shower. It was easy to order through Instagram and was around $53. They were very flexible and asked for my design ideas and inspo. The donuts were tasty and not overly sweet. They were light and not heavy in oil nor did they have too much frosting. I look forward to ordering from them again. The bad: They weren't always the most responsive thru IG. I wish they had an online ordering form.
