We made a trek down to Jordan MN, from the northern suburbs to try the super club. I made a reservation for 4 and then our group grew to 9 and the Jordan Tap Room was helpful and pleasant in accommodating the change, I called almost three hours in advance of our 4:45pm reservation. The food was delicious with the standouts being the prime rib special and the horseradish sauce side - melted in my mouth - yum! We shared appetizers of the cheese curds, the goat cheese toast, and Brussel sprouts with honey sriracha and bacon. All were hits around the table. One person tried the chicken wild rice and it was nicely seasoned and thick and creamy. A few of us ordered other items such as the Shrimp risotto, crab stuffed salmon, and sirloin. Each was raved about with the consensus that we all wanted to come back again the food was so good. Being there on Saturday, there was a musician playing live music which we enjoyed and was an unexpected perk. We arrived at 5:30 and the dining room was filling up by 6:00. We started with squeaky deep fried cheese curds that come with a yummy unique blueberry BBQ "ketchup". I had the BBQ Brisket Platter that came with a generous amount of tender brisket - a mix of solid meat and some fat (if you like that). Also comes with potato salad, coleslaw, and steak fries. Located midway between Minneapolis and Mankato right off the freeway. Interesting, on the other side about less than a mile down is the Minnesota largest candy store! For being in the middle of nowhere-ish, this place was packed on a Saturday night. Of course it was the Minnesota State University at Mankato graduation day as well. If you're on the way to Mankato and is hungry definitely stop by. We had a reservation at 6 but came late at 630 due to graduation and traffic. With a party of 8, they were able to get us seated by 7. Food came out within i would say a reasonable about of time given that it was busy and we had 8 people. They do wait for all the entrees to come out together. Their slushee machine was down so couldn't get the pina colada or sangria slushee (bummer). So decided to get the spritzer which was pretty good. Baby Back Ribs - definitely looks better than the black ribs on the website lol. The portion is definitely worth the price. I substituted for sweet potato fries instead of regular fries (I think there's an extra charge). It was good and meat fell off the bones easily. Ribeye - portion was also good for the buck. Juicy and typical for its price here. Brisket platter- brisket was a little over cooked and somewhat burnt at the ends that made it extra dry. Not the best dish tonight. Walleye- crispy looking (didn't actually have a taste of this dish) but also presentable. Overall, it's a nice restaurant that if I ever make my way to the candy store or down to Mankato I would stop by here. Price is reasonable for the portion. Service was fast. By the time we sat down to done eating it was about 1 hour. We came here to celebrate a new graduate. Was a little disappointed they didn't offer anything special for the graduate though especially after spending quite a lot to celebrate here. read more

The supper club may be gone but the local eatery remains at Jordan! Finally made my way to the southwest metro to check out Jordan's for dinner. The food was good but their espresso martini is what left the impression. Even without a reservation, they were able to seat us after about 20 minutes of waiting. Jordan Taproom has lost its appeal. We went to celebrate my husband's birthday as a family. The wings were overcooked and burned on the outside. One wing was inedible. Ordered with ranch dressing and did not get until requested a 2nd time. The beef stroganoff was noodles with what tasted liked jarred gravy and the sour cream was minimal. Final comment, the online menu does not match the menu available. My daughter has limited food options due to dietary restrictions and what she found online was not offered as were many other items. We ordered carry out for 5 people. The portion sizes were plentiful. The burgers were good. But their fries were some of the best that I've had in a while. I Went with a friend for dinner on a Sunday night. The place was not busy but we still had to wait 10 minutes because they had no tables bussed. The people in the front of us even had a reservation and had to wait. The taproom burger was a hit. The smoked chicken was pretty dry and almost seemed reheated? Pretty sure the baked beans came from a can. I'd like to come back and try the supper club side. And I feel bad because I know staffing is hard right now. We ate dinner last night around 6:30pm and had the best experience! We were seated promptly and greeted by our waitress who was friendly and gave the best service. The food was delicious. I got the Jordan Hometown burger- garlic aoli was top notch, mouth watering bun, cheesy with bacon and rosemary, I will come back for this burger!!!! The fries were seasoned perfectly. My significant other got the BBQ platter and thought it was tasty as well. I got a frozen strawberry daquri and a mudslide... both were out of this world. Food: my daughter had the fettuccine. We both found the pasta to be over cooked and mushy and the sauce to be watered down and not very flavorful. My husband had the brisket grilled cheese and was not impressed, although the thick cut chips were good. I had the French dip with sweet potato fries that I thought was good. Service was ok, except for the part where the server literally dumped my husband's entire soda in his lap. He didn't seem too worried about it, and simply gave us a rag to clean it up ourselves. Also did not offer any discount for the experience of leaving with a wet sticky lap. Maybe I am old fashioned, but I expected something to make it right. I also had a blackberry mule cocktail that tasted exactly like the blackberry ginger soda my husband had. Came down for lunch after a hike at the near by state recreation area. It's a good place to grab a drink and snack on the patio- which is dog friendly! There is a good variety of items on the menu and a vast drink selection, including some local craft beers. The cheese curds with bluberry ketchup were enjoyed by all. I drive 169 every day on the way to work...so I figured eventually I'd end up here. I had more time than usual, so I thought I'd duck out of the construction zone and enjoy dinner. I ordered the steak special they were running that night. The steak was a sirloin with a port wine demi glaze. It came sided with fries, a popover, and a salad. I opted to spend the extra 99¢ to make it a Caesar salad. The Caesar might have been one of the more interesting ones I've had. I enjoy Caesar salad due to its simplicity. It only has a few ingredients which makes for a nice side dish. I felt the Caesar salad here was overdone. The marble rye croutons were interesting and tasted good, but I thought they were out of place. The pepperoncinis and tomatoes didn't add any particular enhancement either. The dressing was very good. The sauce on the steak was great and negated the need for any additional seasoning. I've always found truffle fries to be overrated--these were a good batch but I find they aren't worth the hype. My server was lovely and checked up on me regularly. Solid three stars here. Maybe a tad overpriced for what you get. Previous reviews reference a relish tray--it appears that is no longer offered. read more

My wife and I had dinner here Saturday night. Sat outside on the patio so we could enjoy the great weather as well. The new menu is fantastic, with lots of great option to choose from. We got the steak bowl and orange chicken bowl. The service was fantastic as well. Angelique was knowledgeable, friendly, and took great care of us. Food and drink prices very reasonable. One and done--Over-priced, under-service. I drive pass this venue all the time and have always wanted to try it. We finally made the decision to last night. Here was my experience. My family of 7 stood in front of the hostess podium where we might as well have been invisible. I would say at least half a dozen workers noticed our presence and did not take any appropriate actions, anyone of them could've just said a simple phrase like, "we'll be right with you". Disappointingly, nothing. If the business manager happens to read this review, look at your cameras at 7:58 and see for yourself. I challenge you to count the numbers of workers floating around and see how long it took us to be recognized. Now if that isn't a metric you strive to better than disregard my observations. The food--meh at best. My wife said her steak was the chewiest steak she has ever had. Our kids cheeseburgers weren't bad however. My roast beef commercial on the other was decent. My original order was for the fish and chips, but it wasn't until 10-15 minutes later that I was told that the kitchen had ran out. Honestly, I couldn't wait to pay and get out of there.
