10/10 on breakfast diner food!!! Went to see the sunrise at Cadillac Mountain and this was the only breakfast place we found that was open. Lucky for us it was incredible. The blueberry muffins, blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup is something I'll be dreaming about when we go back home to Ohio! This was the first breakfast we had on our trip to Maine this summer, and it was such a perfect way to start the trip. The staff at Jordan's was so kind and welcoming, and the food was amazing. A little pricey for diner breakfast, but everything was delicious. We were seated quickly, and I ordered some coffee. I ended up buying the mug that my coffee came in because it was so cute! And they had a little store up front so I couldn't resist. I got a classic breakfast, which was delicious, and my friend ordered the blueberry pancakes because we were in Maine! so, duh. I snuck a couple bites of the pancakes and they were so rich and yummy. Highly recommend ordering them if you go here.... And getting the blueberry compote to go with it! We went as a big group to the restaurant, and even though it was busy, they were still able to seat us almost immediately! The waitress was very nice and gave us a decent amount of time to let us look over the menu. We thought it would take a while for all our orders to come out, but to our pleasant surprise, the food came out very quickly! It was soo good! I had been wanting to go to this place for their known blueberry pancakes with my boyfriend whose family (Farnsworth) have known the restaurant for a very long time! The staff was sweet to get us a booth and place two types of cheeses on my boyfriend's omelet. To start, the coffee was subpar, the eggs were unflavored as well as bland, and the "famous muffin" is nothing short of disappointing. I also got the bacon which I was disappointed to find was terrible to say the least. It was burnt, but not crispy in an odd way. I was really disappointed with my breakfast here, especially considering how expensive it is. Most of the food tasted like it was premade and sitting under heating lamps for a while. The eggs had absolutely no flavor, the bacon was bad, and the blueberry muffins were incredibly dry. To make matters worse, they charge extra for syrup and didn't even bother to tell us upfront. The only saving grace was the home fries, which were actually good. But one good side dish doesn't justify the high prices or the poor quality of the rest of the meal. This was a nice little find before taking a Kayaking trip in the bay. I had the tuna melt and clam chowder, my friend had the lobster roll. I got a blueberry muffin to go. Service was a slow throughout. It was good that we included a lot of extra time before we had to meet for the kayaking excursion. The food was good. The weirdest part was my friend and I split the check. She paid first, and I paid after using the bathroom. I probably could have walked out and not paid since I kept getting put off while standing in line to pay. I think they thought I was waiting for a seat because so many people came to grab to go food and got to pay. It was a little odd because we had been sitting at the table right next to the cash register. I was finally able to pay after the lady at the register said that [my] table hadn't finished paying, and I said I had been standing there waiting to pay. They forgot to add the chapstick that I wanted to buy on the bill, so I just left it and went because I didn't want to wait any longer, we had to meet for the trip. So, we went right after our Maine sunrise. It's a classic New England, home-style breakfast joint serving up local fare. That means they prominently feature wild Maine blueberry pancakes and muffins. Surprisingly though, there wasn't a lobster something-or-other on the breakfast menu. It's cute inside, in a rustic, 1950's, sort of way. How could we help but order a grilled wild blueberry muffin to share? We did, and it was fantastic! So was my bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on a toasted English muffin. So was her oatmeal with, you guessed it, blueberries (with a side of bacon for protein, of course). The staff was friendly, efficient, and plentiful, which isn't always the case in a super-busy breakfast place.
