They have a limited breakfast, they DON'T hide behind COVID and simply cut services. You can get breakfast and also toast bagels. Nigh Auditor was so helpful. The staff is good. The AM clerk is quiet and not very helpful. The hotel is clean, I asked for more towels and they made my bed, what a nice touch. I thought they did a great job, my consultant will be there for 8 weeks, they have proper COVID procedures in place. They are located near restaurants like Panera, Culvers, On the Border, and more. This is a new hotel and they seem to care and service their guests, a very comfortable stay. Many hotels claim they are hurting and cut services all under the guise of COVID. Here, they provide as much as they can, in a friendly manner. JW Marriott would be proud! Thanks for the comfortable stay. Rates are low as well.

The front desk receptionist was rude and unconcerned, telling us someone could look at the A/C the next day. We left after about 30 minutes rather than spend the night in a room without A/C. To make matters worse, the hotel then charged us an early checkout fee. Equipment problems happen, but poor customer service followed by an additional fee for leaving an unacceptable room is ridiculous. I would not recommend this hotel.

After trying for an hour to find another Marriott to go to (because this one was fully booked) we ended up going to another hotel around 10:30 pm. When we checked out the manager didn't even say sorry. They had cancelled the reservation (so someone else could book the room for the other two nights we were supposed to stay). We were instructed to email a picture of the dirty bandaid on the floor and the roach we killed to her. Also there was a softball tournament in town so the parents were downstairs while their girls were running up and down the halls (on our floor and the floor above us). We will think twice before booking any marriotts in the future and definitely don't recommend this one.

The room was clean, the water pressure in the shower was excellent, and there was free parking. The staff was very friendly. The included breakfast had scrambled eggs, DIY waffles, some toast/ bagel options, cereal, yogurt. There was also veggie bases sausage and alternate milk. One thing I didn't care for were the curtains in the room. There were only blackout curtains and no sheers, so it was either pitch dark or staring into the rooms of the hotel next door.

For personal security reasons (as in, I prefer to leave reviews of places that I temporarily reside…read morein much later than my stay), this review is very delayed. I stayed here over memorial day weekend 2025, and though I was a bit late for Holland's famous Tulip Time, there were still a few tulips sprinkled around the property. This place was like a big gorgeous house, which makes sense for a bed and breakfast. It was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast, and I'd recommend this experience entirely and would like to stay again if I have the chance. There's a couple spacious sitting areas that encourage mingling with other guests but you also have some privacy if you prefer to keep to yourself. The owners are a family, with main ownership from a mother and son, and it feels like there is a great sense of pride with ownership and operation of the inn. They help the space like you're staying with extended family in a way. There are maybe 7-8 different rooms on the property of different sizes. I believe they have a couple larger rooms in a guest house that's just across from the house main entrance. My partner and I had a smaller room in the main house called "The Audrey"with one queen bed on the second floor. It was just the right amount of space for the two of us. The rooms are seemingly spaced out enough so that you only hear others when they pass by your door. All the doors have a lock with a key. Each room has a bathroom attached to it that comes with towels and shampoo/conditioner in pump bottles in the shower. Our room also had a nicely sized TV, where we watched the Indy 500 (this is ironic considering that we were visiting from Indy!) For a bed and breakfast, you have access to some foodstuffs throughout the entire day. They have large fridges that have jams, meats, cheeses, and breads that are kept up to stock throughout the day, so the owners said that folks will often have lunch at the inn. They also have fruit, yogurt, and homemade granola. Coffee and tea can be readily made throughout the day as well. Overall, the inn common areas are kept very clean. Like I said before, I would absolutely jump at the chance to stay here again, especially during Tulip Time. You are just steps away from a beautiful park and a couple blocks away from restaurants on one of the main avenues. I hope that the next time I make my way up to Holland, a room will be available for Tulip Time. I'd even book it years in advance if I had to. Disclaimer: some of the hallways are a little narrow, but that's just part of the older house experience. This location also pretty much requires the use of some steps to move about. I would not consider this inn to be disability friendly, but that's also just older building experience. This is a truly neutral point from me that does not impact the status of this review.

After 16 years as an occasional customer for incense and a few expensive glass pieces as gifts, and…read morereferring many friends, I'm done and never going back. I purposely go out of my way to try to keep my business in small locally owned shops. Owner refused to sell me a $4 box of incense because he wouldn't charge my card for any sale under $10. I only had $3 cash on me so I started to walk away. He then decided he would "do me a favor" and agree to run my card if I bought a 2nd box making my total still under his $10 REQUIREMENT. I spent decades of my life in retail sales up to and including district mgr for HUGE chain of stores similar to this type of business. I also spent many years in customer satisfaction research in every scenario imaginable including as a secret shopper. If his goal is to upsell, I get it. Upselling can be a HUGE money maker when its done right. Upselling by way of threat or intimidation is morally bankrupt and only speaks to a lower level of care for customer retention. I will never be back.
