I came here for a wedding and instead of renting a tuxedo, I ended up buying a full tailored suit. The price was reasonable and the material was nice. I chose a blend of fabric so the suit was lightweight. They have a good selection of suits so you will find what you are looking for and friendly service so that's a plus. The staff here was awesome. Kevin took care of me and measured me before helping me find a suit. He was patient and explained my options and how suited differed from each other from fit to material. When i wasn't able to find the exact fit i wanted off the rack, he found me a suit and I had it custom tailored for the perfect fit. Not impressed with the customer service I received. The younger guy that works there was not friendly. He helped me but had an eff it attitude. He took my measurements and guess what, they were all wrong. He gave me a HUGE shirt and pants that were literally too big. I had to tell him my actual sizes and guess what, I'm not a huge guy he thought I was...I looked like a fool so I'm not sure if he did that on purpose. The older gentleman that was there was way helpful and he should have helped me the start. I think the employee that helped me judge me on my appearance as I can tell from his body language. I still ended reserving my suit but I think I'll take my business elsewhere next time. read more

My husband needed a new suit ASAP. We originally went to the Men's Wearhouse in Folsom and had a terrible experience. We walked into Jos. A Bank and were greeted by a lovely, young woman who welcomed us to the store and asked what she could help us with. My husband explained that he had an important interview coming up and that he needed to look conservative yet current. The saleswoman ( I wish I could recall her name) measured my husband, and picked out the perfect suit and tie on the first try! It fit beautifully right off the rack and looked sharp. The other staff were friendly and professional and the store was well stocked, clean, and beautifully organized. My husband left in a wonderful mood since the experience was totally painless. TL;DR - Pathetically disorganized location. They didn't have my outfit ready for a wedding. They also borderline scammed me since I did not receive what I initially tried on and paid for. Finally, I had to go back and forth multiple times because they couldn't track down where my jacket was. I understand mistakes happen, but this place is absolutely dishonest. I came in and got fitted for a jacket and pants. I purchased pants, but they didn't have my jacket size so I had to come back after they get it from the warehouse. Got a call after a few days saying the warehouse sent the wrong size and I needed to wait another few days for them to ship another jacket. I go back after receiving a call that the jacket is ready. Nope, they can't find it. They tell me I need to come back again after a few days. I come back and pick up the jacket and pants. I try them on at home, and the pants are somehow too large. It turns out they switched out the pants that I initially tried on and purchased a week ago with a different styled pant that were also a size too large. I go back and explain the situation with the pants. The woman helping me can confirm that they did get switched out but she doesn't know why. But too bad - no refunds since they already did alterations on the (wrong) pants! At this point, I did not have time to wait for more alterations, so I purchased pants from a different store. read more

Deborah was awesome and was able to find me the perfect combo that needed minimal alterations, which I thought would be a lot more difficult given my body type. She was really polite and gave me a lot of good feedback on style and fit. The store is smaller than your typical Men's Warehouse which I prefer, as it's a lot more personable. Bought a sports cost online. It was super cheap, $30. It was beautifully made, a nice material, and an attractive color... But it was a bit too small in the shoulders for me. Went to the store to get an optional size. Unfortunately they didn't have any other sizes to choose from. They called their online dept, other stores to see if what style might be available in my size somewhere else, unfortunately not. They provided a quick refund. Ultimately, it was a great experience. Other than the manager, I'm always underwhelmed by this location. The rest of the staff are your typical "sales" types where the one guy (sorry buddy, don't recall your name) is actually concerned with your experience. I generally stay away from this location and the last few times I've been in it's a hassle just trying to get simple things done. Came in this last time to buy a pair of shoes that I reserved online. When I arrived, not only did they not pull my reservation, but I was told it was the only size of that model left in the company. Lo and behold, it's the display model, and the leather soles are damaged (scratches). It's on clearance but the staff in place are unwilling to adjust the price being as it's a display (and again, has slight damage). I didn't end up buying them, and I'm fairly confident I won't be back (to this location). read more

My man was in search for his first suit ever in his life, and we came here after having an awful experience at men's warehouse the day before. We were greeted, great customer service, and the employees were dressed professionally. I wish I would have gotten the employees name, but he definitely was on top of everything. He got my man a suit for our last minute plans and directed us to go to a tailor to fix the measurements since we needed it within a week. I'm furious and disappointed with my experience at this Jos A. Bank location. I came in to have a custom suit tailored for my daughter's wedding. After a few weeks I come in and the jacket is impossibly small to tailor to my size. They agreed that the woman who took my original measurements screwed up. I come back weeks later and the jacket is now tailored very weird with the waist area on the sides cinched in. I'm a big dude and don't have an hourglass figure. I returned a couple weeks later and the pants aren't even close to fitting. They measured me and said the tailor would take it out so they'd fit. I returned today for the FOURTH time and I can't say I'm surprised that the pants still didn't fit. I'm a big dude so I figured that's why I was paying almost $1,000 to have a custom suit tailored for me here. The tailor told me those can't be taken out enough to fit me. They're the ones that picked all of this stuff out. I asked for a refund because I didn't want to start from scratch again. It took over 30 minutes for them to figure out how to give me a refund. Now I have to wait 10+ days for a check to be mailed to my house, and I'm back to square one to get a custom suit in a month for my daughter's wedding. They didn't express much remorse for the trouble I went through or even try to win me back as a customer. Just a "sorry this didn't work out for you." I just replied, "I just wanted to buy a suit that fit me." I've literally got jackets off Amazon for $75 that were a better quality and fit than this thing. read more

I came in looking for a suit for my wedding. I needed a suit that fit right without alterations since i didn't have much time till the wedding. Hares met us as after we walked in and in an amazing 15-20 minutes had me in an outfit that was a perfect fit that looked great. I am thankful for his help. Avoid this store! Rude, and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I made an appointment for a suit fitting for a wedding at 2pm on Sunday afternoon. After driving an hour to make my appointment, my fiancee and I were greeted with "there's other people ahead of you." After we checked in, he went off to help the other people. What's the purpose of offering appointments? So while waiting, another couple came in, and the lady asked them what they were looking for and began immediately helping them with suits. So I made an appointment and walk-ins that came in after me get first treatment?! Horrible experience after driving an hour. read more

First of all, you are greeted when entering the store...not in a high pressure sales person hovering way but in a friendly, hi how are ya and let me know if you have any questions or need assistance way. Shouldn't that be the only way. Jos A Bank gets it. Great selection of suits, sport coats and shoes. And the pricing is phenomenal. A gorgeous sport coat on sale for $49!! Can't beat that anywhere. Cathy was great! We came in needing a suit for an upcoming wedding, and I already had some idea of what I wanted (an well-fitted, non-slim suit made to be cool in hot weather). She showed me their 1905 Tailored suits with "Brrr technology" (I don't know yet how well this works). She helped every step of the way, with finding a cut that was not too slim and not too baggy. She was detail-oriented, from the sleeve length (wanting to have the tailor remove just a half-inch or so-- something I never would have noticed), to matching a shirt, tie, and shoes. My girlfriend especially liked that Cathy wasn't afraid to give an honest opinion: my girlfriend said she thought a white shirt might look better and Cathy said she thought a light blue worked better with the suit and my eyes, etc. I'll update this if the suit doesn't hold up well or isn't "cool" as advertised. Honestly I was expecting nowhere near this level of experience, expertise, and courtesy from a "budget" suit shop (I was previously looking at $900+ suits elsewhere). read more

Kevin was very helpful, informative, and concise. Went with the BLACK by Vera Wang rental. I couldn't ask for a better fit and aesthetic, Kevin took care of everything AND gave me a discount for signing up for their free email list/membership. I just rented a tuxedo from a locally owned shop for a wedding and the fit and quality just doesn't compare to what I got from Jos. A. Bank. Thanks for making me look great Kevin. read more
