This is the best pasta for low cost that I've tried. The Alfredo was creamy and the portions were huge. Great drink options and sides as well. Service was fast and plenty of space to sit.

Came back again cause was in the neighborhood and ordered a family platter of the rose pasta with a couple sandwiches and my favorite artichoke salad. The Italian sandwich is a classic and my favorite is the chicken pesto sandwich with fresh carved chicken. Even though had to bring it 30 minutes away, the food was not soggy nor cold and lasted a couple days of meals. Now im carbohydrated out for a while. For the price you can't go wrong and if you meal prep, it's even better!!

One star strictly for the amazing service -- the staff were super kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food just didn't hit for us. We ordered the chicken Alfredo and the chicken pesto sandwich with extra mozzarella, and it was just... not giving . The flavors were pretty underwhelming and not what we were expecting at all. Really wanted to love it because the service was great, but the food missed the mark for us.

Jo's Italian Deli is an authentic Italian Deli! They have lot so sauces, fresh pasta, and other products in addition to their menu. They do have a few tables, but it's more of a pick up spot. For drinks I tried their Italian soda and lemonade, prefered the lemonade it had more flavour and was super refreshing! For food - :: Chicken pesto sandwich - hands down best Italian sandwich I've had. It had roasted chicken, basil pesto, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo and Vinaigrette. :: Pesto cream pasta - SOOO good! it's vegetarian and is made with their homemade rigatoni sauce and their pesto cream. Super creamy and flavourful. :: prosciutto sandwich - it was also good, but not as good as their chicken pesto sandwich. They were very fast at getting our order placed, we ordered food and drinks for 6 people and it was ready in 10mins! Would definitely come back!

Price- check. Food Quality - check. Service - check. Huge line on the weekend - honestly kind of worth it if you have the time but requires patience for sure. I have to say- although we got three types of hot items (two pastas and a meatball sandwich) the highlight for me was the pesto pasta salad. SO delicious. Highly recommended.

The pasta and salad we ate and inside and out of Jo's

Came in for a snack /afternoon .. ordered the Hot Salami Italian Sandwich .. it was ok . .... Service was Quick and with a big smile .. However I have an issue with bit of semantics as I though "hot salami" wud be grilled but is wasn't ... it was spicy ... it was marked on the receipt as "Spicy" but on the order board listed as " Hot" ... confusing !! Jo's shud amend the board or the receipt to maintain consistency ... .. or did they know and FORGetAboutit to save redoing artwork , typesetting and cashier data entry programming ....... " Bingo bango bingo .. .. no one will notice "... BUT I DID so you can fool some of the people some of the time but not all the time .. ..

I like the vibe here. Diverse crowd with UBC students, Jericho/Kits residents, and construction workers as there's a development across the street. The pasta made in house was a hit. I also had the chicken pesto sandwich and even at room temp, it was tasty. If I warm ip at home, the aroma will be even better.

I came on a Thursday night for a quick bite before a concert. I got the rosé pasta, added a meatball, and the pesto pasta salad. I service at the counter was quick and there was plenty of seating. I enjoyed the pasta quite a bit, the sauce was spicier than I expected, and the meatball was flavourful and tender. The pasta salad was a bit bland. Overall not bad for an affordable meal. I like that there are some Italian food staples like pasta and sauce for purchase too.

    Chicken Alfredo with bread

This chicken Alfredo was so creamy and cheesy, perfect portion sizes and everything on the menu is very cheap. Super underrated place check it out!

Interesting small italian deli on the west end. Prices are kind of on par for italian, but the quality is good at least. I'm always conflicted about paying for pasta outside as its a dish I feel I can do as good myself. I'm glad to say that I'm a big fan of the Radiatore shape and its not something you can find easily in Vancouver except in specialty shops, so definitely give that a try. I'm looking forward to try their sandwiches next time. Service is counter, and the shop can get busy at times, so be prepared to wait a bit during peak hours.

Food is always pretty good, this place got a lot more busy over the years as now there are lines out the door especially during the weekends. Their pastas are homemade and the prices are very reasonable and cheap for Italian food. Sandwiches are also decent, but the sandwich that I had was pretty bland. Got a chicken pesto. Bread is also decently dry and not that good, but the vibes are good and it's quick cheap and easy.

Ambiance was very cute casual cafeteria style. Nice big leather booths available. The Fresh made pasta was delicious, would love to see more veggie options. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back for more. The price was excellent.

A classic Italian diner serving up fresh and simple but stick to your tummy dishes. I always enjoy the familial atmosphere and it is great for young and old to enjoy. Always get prosciutto when offered on the menu. It is a great starter into the wonderful world of cured meats. The crispyness of the bread along with the arugula was a perfect match. Their meatball spaghetti was definitely house made. It is perfectly seasoned and had a great meaty texture. The tart past sauce was a great balance. The al dente pasta was irresistible.

Good food and prices. Only thing the add on chicken is better at main st. location. It is more of parmaggano chicken.

I stopped by for lunch the other day, but they also sell loaves of bread and some Italian groceries in addition to sandwiches and various pastries. I had their Veggie Mix Sandwich, Berry Coffee Cake, and an iced almond milk Latte. The sandwich was really good! The roll it was served on was very special, it had a slightly buttery and flaky crust almost like a croissant. There was a variety of veggies like peppers, broccoli, onions, and greens inside, plus cheese and I think a little mayo, and when heated up it all melded together delightfully. The only catch was that it took a while to heat up (which the worker who helped me warned me about), which was okay with me, but makes this place not ideal for a quick bite unless you want your sandwich cold. It takes so long because they use a proper oven, not a grill or microwave. The coffee cake was delicious also! Sometimes coffee cakes can be too dry and crumbly for my taste but this one was nice and moist (sorry), and had just enough structure. The mixed berries added a nice pop of flavour. The worker said she was going to heat this up for me too, but it was room temperature by the time I got to eating it which was honestly probably just as well. The latte wasn't bad but somehow felt a little heavy? This may have just had to due with it being not quite cold enough - by the time I finished it, it had gotten down to refreshingly cool, but this was when all the ice had melted. I think it could have used a bit more ice to start. Everything is priced fairly. The woman working was very sweet and helpful, and patient while I was making up my mind. They don't have seating indoor but have two small tables outside. The tables are tucked into a bit of an alcove so you don't feel like you're in the way of the sidewalk with people walking on top of you.

There are some small tables for two along with high tables. I ordered the 'hot' sandwich, chicken parm. I was expecting crispy chicken parm with yummy cheese and rich tomatoe sauce. Let's be honest, the star of this show is the bread! The baguette was warm, soft and so delicious. However, that's where the excitement stopped for me. The chicken with breading was soggy and the pesto and mozzarella was such a small amount, it felt like a soggy chicken sandwich with lots of bread. If they put more pesto dressing, more mozzarella cheese and more tomatoe sauce, I could have looked past the soggy chicken. All in all, I'm glad it tried it, the bread is amazing, and I'll come back to try a 'cold' sandwich to see if the other options are better!

The best part of the sandwich was the bread, they sourced it par baked from a bakery and finished it in store. it was amazing. For some reason (I expect cost) they stopped doing that and now get the bread from another of their locations. I would agree with some other reviews here, Mangia's is a bit expensive, but I and my friends were willing to pay for quality. The new bread they use is dry, tough and sub par, I tried to get used to it twice, but will not be going back. This review could have been one star but for the fact that the staff are amazing.

When my order came, it was beef and chicken. I called her over and told her that I ordered chicken and pork and not chicken and beef. The chicken was cooked so dry but what was worse was the noodle was not even cooked properly. I called her over the second and that was when she finally hung up her phone call. I told her the vermicelli was not even cooked properly and showed her a piece of the color and she tried to tell me that it is like that. I told her that I had it at other places and never had I ever had the vermicelli where pieces of it were hard (please see photo). She said she will make me another and I told her no need. We found this as our initial destination had an absurd wait, and we left satisfied and pleasantly surprised. I saw pics online of what appeared to be large, juicy, and crispy fried chicken sandwiches sporting local hot sauces as the secret ingredients, and that's what brought us in. We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with the Hot Duck chili crisp on it. Upon the bartenders rec we opted for the extra hot, which was a good call because it didn't really pack a punch to us chili heads, but had great flavor. The chicken was juicy and crispy, and the brioche bun was so soft and fluffy. All around a good sandwich, but we found it strange that they only offered it with chips, and no upgrade to fries, which were available as an add on order. As we ate our sandwich and waffle fries we realized there was no smell of oil in the air or sounds of a fryer, which had us scratching our heads. We looked for a hood too and noticed none. Eventually we realized that everything here is commercially air fried, which was both fun to learn and somewhat surprising. If this place had a fryer, it would be SO much better, but considering this limitation, it was solid. The sauce selection was huge too. I loved that you could taste them all and that they offered some amazing deals too. We found a few that warranted us checking a bag on the way back so we could enjoy them on the other side of the border, and I'm stoked they offer online ordering and shipping so we can get some more when they run out. All in all a solid experience. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. As a hot sauce store, this is a 5 star experience, as a restaurant, also good but just have the right expectations.
