I went yesterday morning for a color and a haircut, and it was my first time there. I found this beautiful salon thru Yelp. Boy, am I glad I did! Anthony did my stylings, and he was great - and so talented! He really turned 70 year old me into a rock star, as he promised! And I loved his brother Joseph too - the time there really flew. And speaking of time, Anthony took that totally to ask me what I wanted in the color and the cut. And the prices were very reasonable. Ok, so Joe's been cutting my hair here for most of the year and I keep going back because of the great service and casual atmosphere. The location is great and there's always parking available, they always offer you a beverage, and the great majority of appointments are on time. The washes are great and Joe keeps up his fun conversions while styling/cutting. He's great about making adjustments too. There's a family-run feel and every visit has a sitcom vibe because you never know what will unfold (in a good way). It's cash only and very reasonable for men's cuts. read more

Mila gives the best haircuts!! She is super gentle, really listens to your needs and uses her best judgement on your hair. She tries really hard to not pull or tug your hair. I felt extremely comfortable with her. Even asks how you're doing throughout your time with her. You can tell she has many years of experience. I am very picky with my hair and find it really hard to find someone that gives a true trim, but she does just that! Plus whatever else I need. Also, the salon is super cute and the owners are so nice!!! Always smiling and greeting people that come in or leaving. You can tell they have very established clientele which is amazing. They offer coffee, tea or water when you arrive which is a nice plus too :) The only thing that gets awkward is when she accepts her personal calls - she tries to be brief and then we have a good chuckle about it so I guess it's all good in the end. I'm a 36 year girl from California. I came here with my mom. I was very nervous to let anyone color or cut my hair that I don't know. I had Joe do my color. He did a great job. I love it! This place is different than where I normally go. Its really fun! Two brothers own the salon. Their mom comes in every day and makes coffee and puts out the best cookies. It's really social. Tony has been doing my hair for years. He gives me the greatest sun kissed color and the cut is spot on. He always suggests a tiny change so I look up to date. I must add that although we moved to Wisconsin , I still go to Tony. Not to mention that I try to schedule by appointments so I only have to have someone else do my hair in Florida as a backup plan. Tony is the best and his salon shows pride of ownership. They are very conscious of all the covid recommendations and listen to their customers fears. Joseph is AMAZING! He's been cutting my hair and my husband's hair for almost a year. My hair cut is always perfection - I get an unsolicited compliment on my hair cut almost every week and it's not an easy cut to execute. My husband's hair is always really nice too - it never has that "just cut" look that men's hair sometimes gets. Besides the expert hair cuts, the salon is always buzzing with energy and there are lots of joking and "tall tales" going around. Been coming to Joe and Tony for years. Yes, I'm a dude, and I've been coming to this salon as its moved from space to space for about 15 years. I ain't afraid to say my metrosexual side comes out in this place. My mom goes, my older brother used to go, I try to get friends to go, but they're all going bald, so I think I can credit my hair to the work at this place. I've done everything to my head at this place, frosted tips in high school (don't know what I was thinking), the flat top, the buzz cuts, a FADE, and now I keep it professional for the workplace. I usually, make that, always, go to Tony. I didn't go one month and went to a new place and it wasn't the same; the cut, the conversation, even how it was styled. It's a mix of an old school Italian shop where you can get a cut and talk shop and a salon where you can get work done for weddings, proms, or other special events. They've got everything you need for your hair needs; even their own styling products. They can accommodate your schedule and have a lot of stylists on hand who can work with whatever you're looking to do. They also have lots of style books on hand and can also do manicures and pedicures. It's near the train and about 10 minutes away from Wilmette, Old Orchard, the Glen, and 294. NO stylist-- no matter how adept at their trade-- is going to make me look like Sarah Michelle Gellar, Natalie Portman or Princess Kate Middleton. I said NEAR-Miracles. But what Matt did with my-- My?!-- hair Is in fact a near-Miracle, both in terms of the color and the cut. The color is now an illuminating blond-brown, instead of lackluster brown; the cut makes it feel buoyant, zestful and imbued with vitality. Hair-- Neon-helium-and oxygen? Pull out that Periodic Table of the Elements! Just kidding. But helium and neon-- 'noble gases' in chemistry-- are sometimes used together for neon glow and signs. I started coming to this place 3 years ago when I worked nearby. I know live 45 minutes away but the commute is well worth the cut! Tony is my guy does a great job every time and will try and work you in last minute if need be. He even tries to send referral business to me, some interesting stories and while you may hear one or two a few times still usually funny. A friend of mine recommended this salon over a year ago and I have been going there ever since. When I need a flawless manicure or pedicure, Karolina is the person I love to go to. Unlike other places I have been to over the years, Karolina's experience and exceptional attention to detail shine right through her work. In the past, my nails would look nice for a short while, and then the nail polish would begin to chip-off. I would assume that my nails were just not made for a long-lasting manicure. I don't know what exactly Karolina does differently, but my nails last for a very long time, looking like I just left the salon. I feel comfortable recommending her to anyone, because I know that they have no chance of walking away disappointed. I just wish I've known about this salon and Karolina way sooner! read more

Mila squeezed me in at 8am on a Saturday to style my hair in a braid updo for my bridal shower, which was very nice of her. She and the rest of the stylists were very friendly and made me feel very welcome. Mila completely redid the first hairstyle she tried because I didn't like it. I didn't love the second one either but it was better and I was running late at that point. Then my hairstyle started falling out before the party even started at noon! My sister also pointed out that the braid exposed a large mole on the back of my head, which I thought a stylist would notice and try to cover up. I couldn't fix it without taking out the entire hairdo, so I ended up feeling very self conscious the entire shower. The salon also did not tell me they were cash only until after my appointment was over, so I had to accept the $6 ATM charges. Overall, not a great experience. read more

The salon is an afternoon out for us and my boys look forward to seeing Anthony & Joseph and the "show" go in for a haircut, but be ready to sit back and enjoy the entertainment. Not once have I taken my kids in that Anthony is not the topic of conversations afterwards - from his nicknames for the boys, his "holy water routine", to his interactions with his brother Joseph, staff, and clients we love the "show"! If I could give this place 6 stars I would. I have been getting my hair cut by Tony (Anthony) for more than 10 years. I have NEVER received a bad haircut here. Ever. No joke. Tony is classically trained and mixes old school down to earth know how with the ability to also produce any modern style cut you want. Yes he's that good. The atmosphere is welcoming and the salon is modern and very clean. This place is a hidden jem in the heart of downtown Glenview just behind Glenview House. Since I have lived on the North shore - 16 years, this has been my Salon. Very great service and my hair always looks fabulous afterwards. I have big, thick hair and Joseph knows how to tame it and make it a completely settled look. Today Joseph highlighted my hair after a great cut and I look sharp! I really liked the vibe of the salon - good people who are total experts in their craft but not at all pretentious. I got highlights with Joe and I couldn't be happier! Love this place! I am SO picky about who cuts my hair - so much so that for years I drove 2 hours back to my old salon. So I was sick of driving and looked to YELP and found Joseph & Anthony Salon. Which is why I love all you YELPers! Tony is my guy and he is AWESOME! He tolerates my crazy and gives me exactly what I want for a fantastic price. If any of my friends lived closer they would ALL go here. I also take my daughter here, who has pretty crazy hair and Joe takes care of her (but always listens to me). Joseph & Anthony's also has an aesthetician and nail person. I have only worked with each once but was very pleased. Still planning to schedule a facial. In others reviews, everyone says their mother goes there too. There is nothing wrong with that but I do sometimes feel like my daughter and I are really pulling down the average age. Not a dig just a warning not to look past this great place for that reason. As others have said, they only take cash but with the reasonable prices there is no need to clean out the ATM on the way there. read more

LOVE this place. It's my new go-to spot. I tried this place out a couple days ago on a whim. They took me at the absolute last minute before they closed which other places would have never done. Both brothers were so engaging and kept me laughing and having a good time. I ended up with an amazing set of highlights (which included a couple different colors that turned out to be a fun but sophisticated look.) I have followed these guys around having my hair cut since I was 9 years old. Tony honestly gives the BEST hair cut with the most perfect layers you can't get anywhere else. My mom has been coming here for just as long and we won't go anywhere else. Don't expect to walk in and have a 30 minute in and out appointment - they actually care about your hair here. Perfection takes time and make sure they know if you are in a hurry. This is a salon that feels like family not some chain or cookie-cutter approach to hair. Malli is the new resident medical aesthetition - she's honestly the bomb. I'm 28 and I actually looked younger and more youthful in one facial. She gives a true ultrasonic facial. She gives your face the treatment you need for your skin type and the products she uses are high quality. I've been places where they simply refill bottles with cheap over the counter materials - you can TELL the difference with Malli and that she only uses high quality, effective and efficient products.
