Josh Hobbs and his partner Mike are the best. They put solar screens on the front and side of my house early last summer after I had debated about it for years. I was afraid that the screens would make the inside of my home darker and that they would not look good on my home. I WAS WRONG!!! They actually make my house look BETTER and I lost maybe 5% of the brightness inside my home. Negligible change in brightness. I LOVE the daytime privacy aspect too! You cannot see in in the daytime (safety!)!! My electric bills have dropped considerably (the highest bill was $170 last year versus $245 the year before - on a 2500 sq ft. 2 story home). I love the screens so much that I've hired him to do the rest of the windows on the house even though they get only early morning to noon-ish sunlight. His pricing is very reasonable!!! The screens have made a HUGE improvement in the temperature of my home which faces southwest. I had previously put in a radiant barrier (the floating kind) in my attic, solar vent fan, additional insulation, replaced windows, tinted the windows and replaced the roof with a lighter color, heat reflecting shingle. The screens still helped the most!!!! Best decision for my house yet when it comes to keeping out the summer heat!!! read more

Last year I ordered 2 solar screens from Josh Hobbs Solar Screens Company and I was very happy with the screens so I'm placing another order for more screens for the remaining windows. I have 2 large arch windows that face west and were getting hit with full sunlight that heated up the rooms to an unbearable temperature during our hot Texas summer. Josh, Wow, the solar screens you installed yesterday look fantastic and really complement the look of our home! My wife really loves the color combination you recommended for us. After being in our house for 3 years and dealing with hot windows and hot a upstairs and not being about to leave our blinds open in the late afternoon / evening. A good friend recommended Josh a few weeks ago for my solar screen project. So I contacted Josh and spoke about his products, I was very pleased with how knowledgeable and professional he was on the call with me (he shared some great photos and videos that explained everything). I went ahead and had Josh come over to measure our house and received his recommendations for our house. I used these guys to put solar screens on all the windows of the back of my home. They as well installed​ two roller shades on my back patio.. They were very informative about their product. All appointments were met. The solar screens are providing a lot of great shade for my back windows. We just love them and can tell that they are making the inside of our home considerably cooler. We looked at getting motorized roller shades for a patio, but once we found out the cost we opted to use Josh's manual roller shades for a fraction of the cost. Very professional and prompt responses. Even though I was out of the coverage area (out of state), Josh went above and beyond to satisfy my every request. He gave very in-depth instructions on measuring and mailed me samples to make a decision. I went with 80% on the sides of the house and 90% on the front where I had most sunlight. The turnaround time once my invoice was paid was surprisingly fast, about 5 days total including shipping time. The quality of the screens were exceptional and fit perfectly. Josh Hobbs makes solar screen installation such a breeze and DEFINITELY worth the money. He is prompt and punctual, coming to the house to measure soon after the initial call,and then very quick with cutting the screens (and showing all the options for color and thickness of the screen) and installing the product, all of which can be done when you aren't even home. Our electric bill has gone down considerably ever since the solar screens were installed. We love them so much that now we are adding extra solar screens to other rooms. Wonderful product better service. I have two big dogs and they can't seem to tear the fabric even though I think they trying. House is darker, cooler and the privacy aspect is something I din't count on. I can leave the blinds open so I can see out but nobody can see in.
