After seemingly forever treading the murky waters of the window industry which, I experienced, is very daunting and overwhelming for the discerning consumer --and found myself feeling like I was going under --I'd had really 3 attempts and these last 2 or 3 months until hammered out to conclusive decision- I inadvertently landed at www.windowestore.com by way of a consumer review thread that mentioned the site. Oh MY! Had I finally found the answer and solution to all my previous education in windows. I had become saavy enough now with all my input over so long that I quickly deciphered this was a GREAT window and buying source! I was pretty decided on a local direction for 14 window desperate replacemens when I chanced on the directive to window e store. Am I ever glad! They happened to offer the same window I had chosen. What an easy transition to a very convenient decision. AND at a pricing that saved not a little but a huge lot (spread or multiplied over 14 window quantity !) The window itself is superb any way you scrutinize it. Quality, features, warranty, pricing,... The intense individual discussion and help from Derek, himself, was beyond imaginable and rarely found in today's businesses-- let alone online! --if you are lucky enough to make a phone connection. The web ordering to calculate what my actual order might be like, didn't work well for me, so I called because I really wanted to understand this company and was really interested if we were a good fit together before I ruled it out of my decisions --remember just before I was comitting. Derek took right off and made it ALL so simple and accurate, easily handed to me. i would never have come up with what he did --seems to me a couple flukes on the web site.. like ecoTru said single strength glass --don't want THAT! -but not true Seemed what I wanted wasn't available in color other than white --didn't want that so was stumped. Also not true. Suffice it to say that Derek whipped it up in a few minutes. Not enough can be said about Derek (and the gal who answers the phone if Derek doesn't). He listens, he enters in to the situation of his calling consumer, he is experienced, he knows, he directs wisely from years of seeing it all. And he does it all so calmly, laid back, thoroughly --leaving nothing overlooked or forgotten, as if total attention to just his one customer. He shoots it straight. guides wisely, and doesn't really allow for error to happen. Ordering a window --or more-- is a really big thing to us who do it once in a life time! Derek seems like he has fun every minute, and loves every second of what he does. What a super gold mine find: Derek and the window e store ! You want a great window? ..for longevity, problematic and maintenance free, fusion welded frame and sash, reinforced, excellent spacer, the right glass package and argon, not only sloped sill but possibly double or triple sloped, interlocking meeting rail to further hold air leakage at bay, virgin vinyl, proper adequate well functioning weatherstripping strategically placed, what else... this window has it all made in USA by one of the largest, and I too have concluded, best window companies existing. Made by Simonton company as Prism Platinum, or Grand Estates of Amcraft lable, which would never have caught my attention, but Simonton I had settled on. Quite the company, quite a window. Who'd ever think of ordering replacement windows online? I did and can barely wait to receive my first two to get started. Odd I can write the above glowing report/experience and don't even have a window yet? I tell you,I've been researching this window industry for a proper solution for our difficult situation in great need for a very long, intense time. I know just about what the windows I will be receiving are like. I found our solution in window e store and Derek. I think it is probably a perfect solution... now when, how often do you get that! When we have our first windows in, I hope to insert and update about how that went, then another review later after our first winter with our older 1954 house full of new, replaced windows from the window e store. Since I know some folks are the "cut to the chase" type while others are the "research" type, I'll do a quick summary followed by more details. Quick summary: I can't think of a single reason why you would not purchase your windows from the Window e-store! That is, unless you prefer to pay more for inferior windows made by Anderson or Pella? The details: I have been in the home construction industry since 1974. Since 1987 I have been a custom home builder. I gave up my family contractor license in 1998 and became a non-licensed owner/builder. By doing that, I have been able to build homes, live in them a minimum of 2 years, sell them and keep the profit tax free! This is a perfectly legal process under the capital gains tax laws. While it is a great deal of work as well as frequent moving (7 times in the last 21 years in 3 different states) it is also VERY profitable! A big part of the profit is controlling the cost of material. I build high end homes. The last one I did cost $41 a sf for materials and sold for $240 a sf. That made the profit on that home $199 a square foot (I don't sub ANYTHING!). It was just under 2500 sf. Windows are a big ticket cost in home building. Prior to the internet, I purchased my windows at the Big Box stores. When the internet came along, for the first time I purchased windows on line. I was very happy with the quality and price of those windows. Fast forward several years to my current home project. When I began searching on line for the window company I had previously used, I was disappointed to discover that they were no longer in business. But I did discover Window e-Store. I was immediately impressed with their website. I could sit in the comfort of my easy chair choosing sizes and ALL options and get instant prices. For a builder like myself, this was a dream come true! It allowed me to experiment with the design of this home and see instantly what my budget impact was. After several days of playing I finally settled on sizes, features and prices. At that point I called Window e-Store and spoke to the owner, Derek. I had numerous questions about the quality and U factor of the windows he sells. After learning about the windows I was sold! I ended my call with Derek and then contacted my Big Box store to get comps for windows made by Pella and Anderson. When all was said and done, neither Anderson nor Pella could compete with the Window e-Store and the savings to me was in the thousands of dollars!!!! I immediately placed my on line order with the Window e-Store. Within an hour, much to my surprise, Derek called me to go over the order and confirm my selection. I found Window e-Store randomly on the internet after having several window companies come out and provide bids for windows and installation. It was difficult to get a straight answer for window costs and features I wanted and to separate installation. I visited the store's site several times to price different options and styles of windows for my house before buying the first two. The ability to instantly, without any hassle, go between window platforms, styles, and treatment was a huge relief, as it was a hassle to get anyone to offer options for windows. It seemed each company had a window brand and style they wanted to sell, I can only guess it was based on their discount from a manufacturer. I opted for the driftwood color as I felt it would better match my brick and trim color as well as the aged mortar. It looked better than the white everyone wanted to sell(without extremely high price increases and delivery times). I entered my order online and that evening on the way home, I received a call from Window e-store to confirm my order and review the details. The employee was courteous and thorough, covering every aspect of my ordering including discussing the weight and how I would be able to pick up my windows (not an issue for me, but nice nonetheless for those who may not think about these things). A couple days later, I received an email with a pick up date much sooner than I imagined based on local quotes. In about 2 weeks, my first windows arrived I picked them up and all I can say is wow! Compared to the 40 year old thin double pane aluminum windows the house came with these are awesome looking. I have three picture windows and a large slider installed with an order of 10 more single windows and 2 custom triple windows (6 ft x 9 ft) in a single hung/large picture/single hung i discussed on the phone with Derek about on the way. The only window I haven't gotten on order for the house is a Bay window for the other side of my kitchen, but there is no doubt we can get that one done through Window e-Store too. I just need to measure(AND that is the most important part). Don't think you can't do something out of the ordinary, these guys accommodate! just had one of the best experiences in dealing with a factory/merchant that one could have in a n unsure situation. as times change and production follows suit one has to deal sometimes in blind faith. having said all that i in these green times and looking for comfort i had to do just that. my den that extends out from the back of my home was exposed to the northwest, naturally this exposure coupled with the old style aluminum windows was to say the least uncomfortable at times. the exposed wall area was well insulated and the culprit was the windows. now where do you go for new windows and after the purchase have the results you had hoped for. i've been a builder all my life and as i said things change, and not always for the better. i had a lot of contractor estimates but, who do you believe? having limited experience with computer i decided to do a search for windows.thus finding window e store. believe it or not the president of the co. answered my call. my considered opinion after a few minutes and mr. baker did most of the listening and it came his turn to talk is what made me feel secure in throwing blind faith out the window. he was more interested in proper installation and helping me get the results than selling me the windows. then he explained the three levels of windows and their application and which one that would do the job for me. his price as compared to every one else was more than fair. his delivery system was to say the least first class. the windows was put in my truck with careful friendly pride. installing the windows was pure quality from the unpacking to the last screw. all i can say is deal with this co. with utmost confidence expect the highest standard, most efficient product, listen to their advice and you will not be disappointed. should i ever need their product again i wouldn't hesitate, i would go straight to windowestore! expectation? a bad wintery mix cold snap, below freezing, wind and snow for three days you wouldn't believe the worm comfort i experienced! these replacement windows went far beyound what i expected. wm. w. ward read more

Outstanding customer service and product. I needed 11 windows with one potentially being a large bay window. Tried four different window companies in town, some "big name", some local. All very pricy; no way I could afford a bay window and not impressed with the salesmen and their product knowledge. Enter Derek and the Window eStore. WOW! Not only did I get my windows at a great price but I saved enough compared to the in-town options that I could also afford my bay window. I can't say enough good things about Derek. I'm the sort who does a tremendous amount of research before making a purchase. Not only was Derek able to answer every question I had, he provided additional information to help me understand what things actually meant for me in my area. I spent several hours over several calls, on the phone with Derek. His ability to answer every question helped assuage my concerns about making such a large purchase on line. I didn't realize that you can't just order a few windows direct from a company like Pella or Anderson without using their distributors. What a monopoly they have. It's a rigged system After getting estimates from two window installers (one from a big box store) that were both ridiculously priced for the lowest cheapest windows, I found windowestore online. What a difference in customer service and the quality of windows is great. Windowsestore has a video that helps you measure properly, but we still had questions, so we called. They walked us through everything, as our windows were going to be set in rough stone rather that brick and that made things a bit different. Anyway, they were so patient and explained everything to a know nothing like me. Thanks so much. Since I only wanted to get two windows that flank my living room fireplace, I didn't want to pay a high shipping cost. No problem. Derek arranged to have them shipped for free to the nearest warehouse and my son picked them up for me which kept the expense down. Well, the fireplace redo is finally finished and the windows installed by my contractor two months ago ( I waited to write this review to see how the windows worked...and they are awesome) I couldn't be more pleased. They have really cut down on the draft and they look terrific. I love the tilt in to clean ability. No more standing on ladders for me! Let me begin by saying my windows are 19 years old and all need to be replaced. I had been doing a lot of searching online as to who I was going to buy my windows through. I am a bit of a DIYer in nature and really wanted to install my windows myself rather than rack up a huge bill by having someone else do the install. I got some quotes from some of the local companies and of course everyone wanted to sell me their top of the line window and most had added fees that were just not necessary since I was doing all the work. My forty year old, wood frame home in south Florida has been needing new windows for a long time.In 2005 hurricane Wilma blew out two panes of glass on two different windows.We hadn't boarded up because the hurricane was not forecast to amount to much.Since then every year during hurricane season we live in fear worrying about when the next one will hit.I'd been putting this off because for me this is a large investment,and the people that I've talked with that had it done had some bad experiences with the installation of there new windows.I decided that I would do the job myself,that way I would be sure it was done right.I did a lot of research and found the Windows E store on line.This has turned out to be a great experience.I talked with Derek Baker,this guy is the window expert,very easy to deal with,Its like having a friend in the business. My old windows from 1984 were looking pretty shabby and about half didn't open and close any more. Time to replace! They had a special with a discount and a free upgrade to double hung windows, so I ordered the seven windows I have that are vertical hung windows. I splurged for the 'Perimeter Grid' option since I was saving money. When they called to confirm the order, they actually caught a mistake I had made. The windows all arrived one Friday (about 10 days later) and I got them all installed the next day. There are a few YouTube videos that will show you how to get the old windows out, but before you spend a lot of time scraping the old caulk off your brick, measure and see if the new frame won't cover it. Installing the new window takes no time at all if you've prepped the hole correctly. Just make sure you have a good frame to drive the screws into. They look wonderful, work like a charm, and even have some extras that the web site doesn't mention: weep holes at the base in case any water gets into the frame, and safety tabs that block the window from being opened more than a few inches (keeps burglars out and kids in). I've got four more to do - and they are all horizontal slider windows. They look so good that I know they will increase the resale value of my house. read more

I replaced all my upstairs windows in my home using windows from Windows e-Store in 2013. Everything about them has been great and they have lived up to my expectations the entire time. One morning after a cold sub-zero night this winter I noticed the interior pane of a bedroom window had cracked. I figure it was most likely a result of shutting the window in a manner that left it under a twisting load, the cold night meant a large temperature gradient on the two window sides, and it is a sizable window (41" on the diagonal). There were no issues in resolving this under warranty. Derek was both incredibly helpful and responsive in getting the information required to replace with a new sash. The total time from when I first contacted Windows e-Store until I had a replacement sash in hand was 2 weeks, and it would have been faster by several days if I had replied quicker to Derek's questions! Popped the new window sash in, and adjusted the window locks in less than 15 minutes. Everything was spot on. This was easily one of the best shopping experiences I have had. I have two very weird bathroom windows and one large picture window that I need to replace. I was so confused with how should I measure them. So I called Derek. He was very patient and professional. He took time to answer my million questions, looked at photos of my bathroom windows and even talked with my window guy to make sure that he had the right measurement. You know when you buy stuff, especially when you are not an expert on those subject matters. people always try to upsell you, or sell you something you don't need. Window e-Store is one of the last up front, respectable businesses in operation. From the start everyone was extremely helpful and willing to do whatever they needed so I could figure out what window I was going to get. And by everyone, I literally mean from the the very top, starting with their president Derek, all the way down to the CSR's. After helping select the window I wanted, we placed the krder and it took about 2 weeks for the window to get made and delivered. I recently got a large section of my house done by Renewal by Andersen, I was looking to finish my house up and stumbled on Window e-store. I was a little hesitant at first but after receiving the window, I definetly made the right decision. For nearly 1/3 of the price, you cant go wrong with these windows, they look really good, they're made with tempered glass, and have 2 window locks for added security. Literally everything I wanted for windows on my first floor. Now that I got the one window installed and checked it's quality, it is time to order the rest of the windows for downstairs. Purchased a large picture window with grids to replace an old metal grid window installed in 1953. Our goal was to get something better insulating so we didn't have to mop up moisture on the window sill all winter. First of all, tan color was much more attractive then plain old white. Measurements were spot on with the measurements I requested and the window was made well. Installation was a breeze (although it took three of us to lift the window into its opening). First thing my fiancee said is that it looked beautiful and the second thing she said is that she couldn't hear the cars going up and down the street anymore and so far, no moisture to wipe up. Fantastic overall experience! I only had two narrow bathroom windows to replace and needed to have as much window glass remaining. I called and spoke with Derek, who took the time to answer all my questions in great detail and ultimately helped me decide (after multiple calls!) on the proper windows to purchase. I was a little concerned about what the quality would be like considering the price point but I was pleasantly surprised. Window E Store definitely provides an above average product and very good customer service. It would go a long way if they just marketed their widows for what they are. They're a decent vinyl window. Simonton 5500 premier series. The tag that comes on the window is from the manufacturer. Nothing on the window, anywhere, says ECOxtreme. I'm not upset about it. They seem fine and have a lifetime warranty. They're not the same level as renewal by Anderson fiberglass windows. They installed easily enough. I can't feel any cold air around them. They're also infinitely quieter than my old windows. Window E Store is well worth looking in to for DIY replacement windows. read more

We were under a tight budget remodeling our new house, but we really didn't want to skimp on a GREAT set of double sliding glass doors. I found Window e-Store online, and was thrilled by the price Derek quoted to replace all of our windows and 2 sliding doors, including that giant double-slider of my dreams.
