Meticulous hairstyling for a blowout, which was also very efficiently done. My only negatives are the price point ($100 for a blowout, with no prices listed anywhere to know beforehand), and I wish they were gentler with my hair: they used a higher heat than I would have liked, I had to request heat protectant halfway through (every other blowout I've had they automatically use a heat protectant and/or styling product), and they used a slightly harsh metal round brush. The $100 price point absolutely would have deterred me if I knew beforehand. Despite the negatives, the end result was meticulous and I overall appreciate the job and would return. read more

I go to Val more every week for a blow out (and hair cuts otherwise). There are so many salons in the neighborhood and while many can do a good job, none have the staff that sets Val more apart, heads and shoulders above the others. They treat you like family, everyone knows exactly who you are and what you want when you walk in the door. Kim is more than a receptionist - she is quality control! the one and only time I wasn't thrilled with my blow out, I said nothing (out of politeness) and she just read my face and said no - you're not leaving unhappy and immediately had a stylist re do my hair. I recently visited Val More Salon and the minute I walked in I never wanted to leave. I had the worst year and have been dealing with cancer issues and the lost of my boyfriend. Everyone from Vera who cut my hair to Val the owner and Abby the manager were incredible. Even the Receptionist help me with my Uber . You get what you pay for! Val More squeezed me in for a blowout I needed for a formal event. They were courteous and warm when scheduling my appointment. Although the blowout was more expensive ($85) than what I would normally pay, the quality was head and shoulders over less expensive shops.
