Cool place to visit if you enjoy motorcycles the place is amazing. The area is clean with plenty of spots for your bike and it's off the main road. People are very friendly no matter what your motorcycle is. The place is clean. Didn't get a chance to eat since this was just a short stop. The next time I will get some to eat.

Our Club did another ride to Josie's Saloon, Biker Bar & Restaurant, this venue has ample parking, seating both indoor and outdoors, they also have a large stage area for Live Bands. It's a great spot to stop & take a break and enjoy the scenery. The FooD: They have the basic diner food and more, you place your order inside and they call your name at the side window, I ordered the hot wings & my hubby ordered the BLT we waited over 1/2 hr, the food was disappointing. The wings were overcooked and dry, and the BLT was lacking in its core ingredients. As a non-drinker, I cannot comment on the beer quality, but the soda fountain is self-service. The live band was entertaining, the atmosphere has a great relaxing vibe, but the food was unimpressive.

Josie's hideout is so fun here. Out in the mountains of Julian. The food is excellent. I am having a steak sandwich. With french fries I will take a picture and post it. There are so many motorcycles here I think maybe 100 motorcycles. This is a great place to spend your Saturday.

Love this classic country biker bar! Bikers of all kinds come here and also car club enthusiast. I only started coming to this bar last year. I love the live music and the vibe at this place. No hard looks, no hard feelings, no posturing just good times and people enjoying each other's company in the live music. The girls at the bar are damn amazing & they're wonderful! The food here is great as well. I had a chili dog. It was great. Awesome. I've also had grilled chicken sandwich. That was really good. Not pub food it's gourmet. The restrooms are clean. There's plenty of bike parking but be careful on your way to the intersection. The turn off kind off kind of sneaks up on you.

    Me enjoying the vibes

Service was friendly, and food was ok. Definitely needs some seasonings. Vibes were good and vibrant.

Well, this is my second time here. The ride, scenery, and customer service ate great. The food is okay, and the drinks are tasty. Come down, try this place, and you won't be sorry.

My review definitely needs to be updated! After a couple of disappointments (mentioned in my initial review), I decided to try Josie's again last week-end and to my surprise... everything has very seriously improved! The staff was super fun nice friendly, finally serving beverages in real glass and now also featuring local beers. My food was... amazing. Had the chicken sandwich, juicy, tasty, large portion, the club sandwich feature some thick beacon stripes, everything was perfectly seasoned. There was live music in the patio (can't remember the band's name but they were awesome!). Good biker times at Josie's. Recommended!

Delicious cheeseburgers and waffle fries. Good music and a raffle for a needy child enhanced the sunny atmosphere.

We arrived early on a Friday evening, and thankfully it wasn't crowded. Since they don't take reservations, getting there early is definitely the way to go. We ordered the Dealer's Choice, which was refreshing, balanced, and beautifully presented. We also tried one of their stronger signature cocktails, and they definitely don't hold back -- there's a reason they limit those drinks to two per person! Both drinks were creative and well-crafted. The bartenders clearly know their craft, and the drink presentation was outstanding. Service was good, although not especially memorable, which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. One thing that would make the experience even more immersive would be if the entire staff wore cowboy attire to match the Old West theme. With the speakeasy setting and vintage decor, it would add a fun touch and make the experience feel even more authentic. Overall, Twain Speakeasy offers excellent cocktails, good music, and a unique atmosphere. I would definitely come back again, and my recommendation is to arrive early since reservations aren't available and I can see this place filling up quickly on busy nights.

She recommended a milk punch cocktail that incorporated Sotol, which is kind of like tequila but instead of fermenting agave, it ferments Dasylirion and is made only in Chihuahua. Then she recommended a cocktail that leverages a Mexican produced corn liquor in a Negroni but with gin subbed with mezcal. Both of these cocktails are bartenders choice and not on the menu, but the fact that they can execute such innovative cocktails so we'll speaks to the level of dedication bartenders at this bar have. Renee even gave pointers as to where I might be able to buy some of the bottles they use and for a few other bars of similar caliber to visit nearby. Instead of ending my trip at Nortico as previously planned, she helped me find a really cool new bar in Tijuana! Highly recommend.

My husband and I stopped in to Frankie's on a recent Saturday at 5pm. Our kiddo had a performance down the street at 6pm so we had a little time to kill beforehand. The neighboring spots looked busy so we decided to go with Frankie's, seeing as they were less inundated at the time and we had a time constraint. Another allure was the sandwich board at the front door advertising discounted cocktails - sold!! Inside there were a handful of patrons at the bar, another table with two additional patrons and maybe a couple on the patio so it was fairly quiet and slow, so it looked promising. We headed up to the bar and hung out behind two empty barstools, the single female bartender greeted us and said she'd be right with us, but then continued chatting up the seated patrons, serving them and their friends that had just joined (AFTER we'd arrived). We moved a little further down to the handoff area where she was making drinks to save her having to come back to us again, and stood there for probably 10 minutes while she took orders and made all the drinks. We commented that she looked like she could definitely use a hand, and she said they were still adjusting into summer hours and determining whether more coverage was needed at this time - I figured 5pm on a Saturday should be primetime, so I'm not sure in what universe having a single bartender makes any sense. Finally we placed our cocktail orders, waited while they were made, and then put our card down for the tab. After we'd paid, I noticed the cocktails were more expensive than advertised on the sandwich board out front - I couldn't find a disclaimer anywhere that said only certain cocktails were included, so while it was a bummer I wasn't about to wait another 10-15 minutes to catch her attention and ask for clarification. Just a heads up to beware of whatever is advertised that might summon you in from the sidewalk, and make sure you ask before you make your selection. Drinks were very subpar, nothing special to write home about. While I can appreciate the Gatsby-esque vibe they're trying to uphold at Frankie's, they really should increase their staffing especially during prime weekend and evening hours, and be more transparent about their specials and what's included and what's not. Hindsight is 20/20, and the low volume of patrons when everything else around it was going off was probably a sign, so we'll skip Frankie's our next go around.
