Place was spot on. Nice people. Super clean and the pizza OMG one of the best on long island anyone complaining about the price is just a poor cheap loser. Loved it Highly recommend this spot.

My friends recently moved to Port Washington and as they were exploring the Main Street in this town, a delicious smell led them to this pizzeria. After hearing this story, I was curious to try as well! We ordered two pies over the phone as we were driving there and we parked a block away. When we got there, it was all ready for us. The place is very clean and has a good amount of tables and seats with air conditioning on a hot summer day! For a pepperoni pie and a cheese pie it was $45 cash. We sat and ate them fresh. The pies were smaller than other large pies I've had and it was not as cheesy as I would like. The texture was a bit different and reminded me of the hot oil pizza from Riko's. Overall, it was a decent local pizza place and the employees were very friendly! Would come by to try other things on the menu aside from pizza.

Pretty solid pizza for NY! It did not disappoint. We got a large pizza, half cheese and half pepperoni. We ate the pizza at the restaurant which I recommend since it tastes best fresh. They were pretty big slices and the cheese was gooey but had enough of a crust to balance that out. Service was fine and the pizza came out in a reasonable time. It's our go-to when we want a quick bite in Port Washington!

While staying in the hospital I decided to order from a pizzeria nearby. I was researching for really good slices and this restaurant had great reviews for it! Unfortunately my food came cold & my Snapple wasn't cold but good thing the nurse was able to warm up my food for me. I never eat cold pizza but I decided to not warm up the pizza cause microwave pizza is gross and wow! I was blown away by how good the slice was and it wasn't even hot! The wings were good but I definitely thought to myself on how I should have 3 slices lol!

Growing up in Brooklyn I ate damn good pizza. It was everywhere from L&B to Franks(RIP) to Delmars to Pizza Di Amore Lennys etc. In the Southern Brooklyn of my youth resplendent with Sicilian immigrants, good pizza was everywhere. Some of the newer slice joints succeed splendidly like Pauline G's Belluci SCarr to a lesser extent and soon to try Baby Luc's.. Carlo's is a perfect slice. It speaks loudly and tastes of a time honored recipe. Crispy crisp crust and lots of good olive oil. I don't eat a lot of pizza and this was my second this week. SCarr's was my first and Carlo's was better. It's that instant yum that cuts through everything and at $3 a slice it is a little slice of heaven.

My family and I have been eating at Carlo's since we moved to Port Washington in 1999. They are wonderfully consistent! Their red sauce is very good, a touch sweet, which makes their regular pie and Sicilian pie very good! We also enjoy the white spinach pie and the spinach pin wheels. Used to be cash only but now take credit cards too.

Order by the pie for the best results. In my opinion the best plain pies in Port. That's saying a lot with Salvatore's down the block.

This evening was…read moreour first time dining at this establishment, and fortunately I made a 5:30 PM reservation. When we arrived the restaurant was only partially filled. Fortunately, we did arrive early, since over the next hour the restaurant filled up, with quite a few people waiting for a table. The restaurant is unpretentious, with seating fairly close together. Now for the food. Before ordering, the owner stopped by, and told us some of the restaurants history, and him being the longtime owner of over 4 decades. He then recited the evenings specials along with interjecting a couple of very funny stories. Each special sounded incredible, and we began our meal with a couple of glasses of a tasty Montepulciano. We shared, one the evening's special appetizers of luscious & creamy zucchini flowers. For entrees my wife ordered one the specials of shrimp stuffed with lump crab meat, in a lobster sauce. She couldn't stop talking about how fantastic it tasted. My only comment was although outstanding, the portion size consisted of 4 shrimp, which was more than enough for my wife, but someone with a bigger appetite may find the order a bit skimpy. For my entree I was drawn to something, which I rarely see on a menu, chicken livers. Although, I thought, for sure, that was what I would choose, the owner in going over the specials cited some of the best menu items, one of which was lasagna. I then told the owner about my dilemma, and I asked him to choose, and the lasagna won out. Although, I missed not having the chicken livers, I consider myself a lasagna aficionado, and, without question, this lasagna moved up to near the top of the list. We ended the meal by having a homemade chocolate layer cake, which was divine. I apologize for not taking any pictures, but I was so excited about the food that my taste buds overrode any thoughts of snapping photos. Finally, definitely run to this restaurant ASAP, but, if possible, I recommend, if possible, to go during the week to avoid the crowds of an obviously very popular restaurant.

We were seeing a show at 7:30 PM, so had a reservation for 6:00 PM, but we didn't need it (on this Thursday). It's a small-medium sized restaurant. Service from both our waiter and the owner ("Freddie") was in good spirits. We told them we had a show at 7:30. They had nice choices of wine by the glass (including Montepulciano & Chianti) and beers. Two of my buddies ordered bourbon and vodka. We sat at a round table in a corner by the front window and above us was a chalk board with the special dishes of the day. There was a complimentary Italian bread basket with butter. I skipped appetizers and ordered the Veal Romano (medallions with chopped tomatoes & artichokes in a lemon, white wine & garlic sauce, that came with a side of spinach (oil and garlic sauce) (other side choices were escarole, broccoli or pasta). Delicious - well cooked. On the low side of moderately priced. Bathroom was clean. We were out by 7:10 ... perfect. I'll be back.
