This place doesn't deserve a star but in order to post my complaint to protect serious people who needs a reliable company, this isn't your place. My 2K order went to waste because of Vanessa who cannot even take instructions well TWICE in a row. Don't even bother investing this company when there is plenty of others that values customers & employs people who can take instructions well. Don't even have Vanessa take your order. I so am not going to do business here if they can't employ people who can take instructions well & had an attitude with a customer is unprofessional. I had got a new job in Riverside. To order their shirts was not practical. So my manager told me about Joy Embroidery and that they had our company logo on file and that I could just buy my own shirts and have the logo put on. What a great idea! Extremely warm and accommodating staff. i ordered a line jacket here for my great grand little, and although I was very indecisive about what I wanted, the employee remained patient and helped me choose throughout the process by suggesting customer favorites. I picked up my jacket the same day since it was a simple design. Depending on the time of year, they're generally quick to finish the product. From t-shirts to varsity jackets, they have a wide variety of choices with decent prices. Joy has tons of fabric choices (and if you don't like any of them, you could bring in your own) and a plethora of colors for stitching. You can choose to pay in half or in full, but I would recommend half just so that if they make a mistake, you can get away with only paying 50% the price! read more

Great place to go to buy paddles/wooden letters, but for embroidery, I prefer Progressive. Joy's does very nice work, there are a handful of friendly workers there to help you, and the store is nice and spacious... but the downfall is that it is PRICEY. However, they have a large selection of hoodies, hats, shirts, sashes, aprons (??) for you to choose from, if you are one of those people who take the $$$ route and buy the clothing items there too instead of just bringing in your own. read more

BEWARE OF WHAT YOURE PAYING FOR! This place has terrible customer service. Every time I come here I try to have minimal interaction with the workers as much as possible. Unfortunately, they are the only option I have for embroidery work and I believe they know that it's the same for many of their customers, so they don't care about being professional. I was almost charged $96 for 3 Greek letters! Upon asking the girl to breakdown the price she gave me attitude. While explaining that I had previously purchased a zip up from their exact store a few days before, she tried to charge me for it again. I offered to show my bank statement, but she refused and talked to her manager, returned and then asked for my bank statement. I paid my balance and left. A week later I return to pick up my jacket only to find out there was an extra $10 charge on the rest of my balance. The same girl is working and I approach her to ask about the price. She responds "we already talked about it last time" with complete attitude. Heated and filled with annoyance, I couldn't even talk to her, so I had my friend ask her to breakdown the prices again. Behold, she realizes her mistake and says "she was right." Not once did she speak to me and apologize for her actions. They should hire people who actually care about their job. The people that work here are super sweet/nice. And the letters you get are nothing short of the quality you expect! This place is better than any other online place you can go to. This place is awesome! Right off Blain and Iowa in Riverside by UCR. I go to CSUF, all of my friends and I go to this place. It is worth the drive. I have yet to see them mess up an order or deliver later than they said they would. As long as you tell them what you want, they do it flawlessly. My go to place for greek letters. I'm always willing to make the drive from San Diego to Riverside just for these letters, and I'm not he only one. People from all over Southern California come here for letters (so keep in mind, during formals season, it'll probably take longer to get letters done). I recently headed over to Joys to get nine sets of letters done for my kids/littles and the service was excellent!! Ritika was the one who helped me out and she was super attentive and answered all of my questions. I'm super indecisive too, but she was really helpful in helping me decide what to get. They estimated that it would take about 2 weeks, but honestly, if it's not formals season, they usually get them done in about a week or less. Yes, it can get a little pricey, but the quality of the letters are superb and definitely worth it. read more

I recently placed a large order with them and when I got it back they had misspelled one of the names and I checked the invoice and it was spelled correctly. Joy Embroidery is the best! My son attends a uniformed Charter STEAM Academy. Joy's prices are the best! The turn around time is about a week for an order of 4 items. The Clerk Young is super helpful and informed. He showed us the system/ technology they use to create the embroidery. They were able to create the school logo by visiting the school's homepage and recreate it in their software. I also got my son's name embroidered on his uniform vests and jackets. Young made sure he had my order correct twice before I left. I am definitely a repeat customer. Quality work fair prices‍! read more

wait, really?! no frat boys or sorority girls have shown joy some of your greek love on yelp?! ridic. joy embroidery was my go to location for greek letter sweatshirts, the prices are amazing and you can even bring in your own fabric from fabric stores to customize your own sweatshirt/apparels. i was assigned as the "t-shirt chair" one year for my sorority (ok don't laugh, this position existed)... and "dad's day" came up and i needed matching dad and daughter polo shirts made for the event. i came up with a super hard to embroider logo with a detailed football and letters, needless to say, joy did an amazing job at mass producing 100+ polo shirts in different sizes with precise quality. owned by a very nice korean couple. communication might be a tad bit difficult, but bringing in drawings will help. p.s. they've got embroidery threads in the colors of the pentone spectrum (not just colors of the rainbow). you best believe you will find your color. read more

I'm from norcal and had ordered letters from here. Their quality of the letters are much nicer than the ones you ordered from websites, as well a good reasonable price. Cheaper + good quality ++++ The one star that would drop them would be their customer service. Its either they take a few days to get to your email reply or not at all, so you must call in. When you do call in, theres a girl that always picks up. She seems nice greeting but when you have questions, she throws you an attitude vibe answer. read more

Joy's usually asks for about a week for letters but I went to them on more than one occasion asking if they could finish them faster. The first time they were able to finish it within 4 days and the second time they finished it within a day and a half. Both times they gave me a courtesy call to let me know the letters were ready for me to pick up. They're so lenient and willing to accommodate you and the embroidery is perfect to every stitch. I am from Riverside originally and was excited when I went Greek to learn there was a Greek shop in town! I checked it out a few times but never ordered. Well I needed some gifts for a little sister present and went to just get simple embroidery, bringing in my own shirts to get done. The two young girls working the counter didn't come off to me as very helpful to being with. Finally when one began to take the order she was kind of confused on pricing. This I DID NOT like at all. A respectable business should have a set pricing list and not have someone just make it up off the top of their head. I was first quoted $6, then she went and looked at someon else's order form in a pile and came back and said it would be $9. Then when we started to talk about threading and I felt like everything I chose she wanted to add a $1 to. At that point I was so frustrated with every little add on that I just decided to pull my order. It was the price that rubbed me wrong, it was just the fact that I felt like it was completely subjective to what that girl wanted to charge me. Prices should be set and written for the customer to see what they are getting/being charged for. The only thing I would probably go back here for is paddle letters, they have a good variety. read more

This place is a solid choice if you want some letters. They have a wide variety of letter fonts and sizes. Pages and pages of examples to help you decide. The staff is nice and helpful. Exceptional Customer Service and Incredible Work! My job was a small, just some embroidery on a hat for my wife so I wasnt expecting to be treated the same as a large order of letterman jackets or anything however they staff at joys was very patient and polite even though I had no idea really what I wanted! I took in a hat and an idea and they helped me choose the right color and style, then gave me an estimated finish time. After a few days I kind of forgot about it and then got a cal today, a week BEFORE they initially said they would have it done telling me they had it ready! The finished product came out AWESOME and I could not be happier! I will surely be back for my next project and highly recommend any one needing embroidery work done do the same! read more

I've come here for letters and paddles my entire college career. Their letters a great quality as well as their paddles. The only down side is that their pricing is a little high and their turnaround can take as long as 2 weeks so don't wait to put in last minute orders if you need it sooner than then. read more

Their response times to emails is timely and they work with us through every step of the order to ensure that everything is correct.
