Came here to get my used sewing machine serviced but found out they were backed up for weeks.. I had issues with the bottom stitch being loose so Lily kindly decided to take a look at it and work her magic! She cleaned, made a few tweaks, did a test patch and it was perfect again. turns out I had the embroidery bobbin inserted from the previous owner.. I ended up getting the correct one and I'm so glad I did because once I got home, I couldn't find the regular bobbin. New to sewing, so still learning my sewing machine! She gave me tips on keeping it clean, explained what was wrong and how to adjust on my own. So grateful for her help. thank you! Definitely my new go to place now for services! Amazing customer service. I went in just to see if they had any cotton thread cones, and ended up spending hours talking to one of the employees, who told me (a newbie quilter) about a lot of great info that I wouldn't have known/known to look up beforehand! They were very friendly and knowledgeable, and I had a great time learning about sewing, I even got to talk about and try out a serger machine, and got a great in-depth lesson on how they work. This review is long overdue. I took my Brother CE1100PRW to get looked at because it was tangling up my thread and was helped by Miss Helle, the most amazing woman I've met in a while. She's so knowledgeable and patient. She examined my machine and really took the time to diagnose what could be going wrong with it. It turns out there was an obscene accumulation of lint in a spot behind the feed dog which I had overlooked. She taught me how to properly clean, test and maintain the machine. She also told me about which needles to best use depending on the material I'm sewing as well as helpful suggestions like the use of a walking foot for slippery fabrics. Helle is an experienced sewist who has extensive knowledge and represents Moore's with such polish. We lost Joann's fabrics not too long ago so it's crucial that our community has a business which supports the sewing community in the way Moore's does. Do sign up for sewing classes or bring your machine in for maintenance at Moore's. They are a valuable resource for adults and children. I and my son learned to sew because of them and it has freed us in ways I cannot enumerate. Be sure to ask for Helle if you have any specific sewing questions. I'm certain all the staff is marvelous but she is really awesome! read more

Update - Received a Call From Store Manager Josh today , wish he had been helping me originally, he invited me back in the store to personally go over one of the Machines I've been interested in for a year now . I appreciate his call and customer service. So changing my rating based on his customer service Went in early yesterday , as my main sewing machine for my business went down ,I just wanted to get a quick replacement purchase in the $1500 to 2k range as I don't have time for repairs . I was greeted nicely but then felt judged quickly . Before I even described what I needed for my business, I was told to go to offer up . I explained I have 9 machines 3 running daily for my sewing business... before I finished describing my business or current needs I got a tutorial about cheap $80 big box store machines and the difference from the ones they offer in store , non of my machines are cheap and in that range several run 6 days a week and are Viking, Janome, Juki. I told the sales clerk please don't judge me on my appearance I've been sewing since 2AM ! I asked about several machines , one was my dream machine in the 19k range she told me on sale for 8k , WOW I wanted more info till she said she had to make a call and disappeared . Uncomfortable experience and left feeling judged and no solution. Went home and ordered online directly through the company a PFAFF . Currently Using my heavy duty leather machine to finish Christmas presents. I guess you need to dress to impress to get help or be taken seriously . Rating a two star for good inventory , quick to greet customer but , lack of professionalism, lack of salesmanship. read more

This place is amazing. I was working on my daughter's Halloween costume when all of the sudden it really stopped working. I knew I had to take it in for service and just get it done. But I didn't think they'd just get it fixed. I was going to borrow a friend's machine. But sure enough Josh took out his tools and fixed my issue in no time! What a life savor. Customer Service still exists today! My daughter bought her sewing machine here about 8 months or more ago. She was having some trouble so we ran it over to the shop. We got the help we needed which was just the fact that she needs to change her needle more often and wasn't using the best foot for her stitch. I purchased a Bernina sewing machine from Moores in Orange County in the mid nineties. It's been a great machine for all these years. I took my Bernina to Moores in Corona to have it cleaned and serviced. They did a terrific job and fixed my reverse button from always trying to sew in reverse. Very happy. Recently it was taken from my storage unit. I am very disappointed about this loss. I have stopped by the Corona store and they spent almost an hour with me to show me what was the latest in sewing machines. I never thought that I would consider changing from a Bernina sewing machine to a Brother, but wow the things it can do. I was grateful for the time they spent with me and can't wait until I can buy a replacement for my old machine. Thanks to Moores. read more

I really can't give any stars because I never got to talk to anyone . I had one question which I never got the chance to ask because they put me on hold. I was on hold for 12 minutes which is a long time listening to their music. It is terrible . It felt like a half an hour instead 12 minutes. I finally couldn't take it any longer. They missed out on selling a quilting machine. If they ask you if they can put you on hold say "NO". This is coming from a polite person. P.S. I received a reply from the owner. He was very nice . What a great sewing class my daughter & I had today! We both received sewing machines for Christmas and had no idea how to use them.....this business scheduled a "get to know your sewing machine class" and were so helpful. Our teacher "Elaine" took the time to go over all the little details ( and each student had a different sewing machine!) we weren't rushed-she spent time with everyone until they were comfortable completing each task. My machine had an embroidery attachment and she stayed over to specifically show me how to use it. Kudo's to this business and its employees! I definitely will give them my repeat business and recommend them to all. P.S. The class was free, and they didn't care if you purchased the machine from their business or Walmart....Class act! read more

Went in on a Friday to put a deposit on a high end sewing machine and said we would be back the next morning to get it. Arrived the next day, paid in full, and then told they didn't have it in stock. They promised they would have it on Monday. Said they would call around 12:30 pm on Monday to arrange pickup. No phone call. We called around 2:30 pm and was told it wasn't coming in that day . No apologies, no I'm sorry, no nothing. We went back in and canceled the purchase and got a refund. They didn't seem to care that they just lost a 12,000.00 sale! Horrible customer service. If i could give them no stars I would.. I think they thought maybe I wasn't there to buy. I was in the store 7 minutes before anyone acknowledged my presence. Then the person said they didn't have the machine nor one comparable and didn't know when they would get them. No interest in selling me anything. If you are going to be all over Facebook advertising your products, I suggest you put as much energy in diversity training as well. After writing this review I decided I would check back im the store to see how the people who just went would be treated. Very different than me.. I thought ALL money was green. This has been eating at me for a while... I had taken our vacuum in for repair for my wife's birthday (dyson ball that's been sitting for a couple months that she was upset didnt work because she loves it). The initial problem was a high screeching noise and it didnt suck too well so I brought it in and paid the service fee for them to even look at it, and paid for the vacuum to be cleaned and agreed to pay any extra fees if parts were needed for the repair. At drop of they had told me 2 weeks. Well a month had passed and I didn't receive a phone call so I called to see what was taking so long (wife's birthday came and went and didn't have a vaccuum), the girl on the phone said she had to call down to where the had it to see where it was. She explained that they were a bit behind and the "tech was looking at it today". Fine. I get a call 2 weeks after that to come pick up my vacuum it was cleaned out and ready. I asked if there was any extra charge for the repair and the lady said that there was no problem with it nothing needed to be replaced, I thought maybe just cleaning it did the trick and we would be fine. I went to the showroom floor plugged it in and the screech was gone (so I thought). I looked at the vacuum and it was maybe cleaned off with an air compressor, and maybe a new filter, I'm not sure I didn't notice that it was any more "clean" than when I left it, but didn't care because it was working. packed everything up and took it home. The thing is, we didnt move into our new home until a couple months later where we actually had a chance to use it, and it worked maybe twice before my wife had came in the garage and told me the screech was back. I had called this store and told them the issue, but sadly the lady said there is nothing they could do for me since it was past the indicated 90 days, only way for them to look at it was pay the 150$ service fee again. Really sad, I thought they would have a bit more willingness to help someone that brought them business, it's not like a big vacuum scam, the invoice had my problem noted. Anyway, I took a closer look at the vacuum, it has a tare in an internal suction hose on the bottom, strangely it wasnt noticed by the "experts" I went on YouTube to look for a solution, since we are in our very first home we needed a vacuum asap. The repair is beyond my capability here. So, I had to break down and dish out another 300$ for a new vacuum and have a broken one sitting in the garage staring at me every day (I can't see throwing it out with this simple issue with it) Anyway it's been eating at me for a while, it's only $150, but I feel I didnt get anything for that money but a quick once over and a spray with an air compressor. read more

Walked in to get my mom's sewing machine serviced/cleaned and Manny greeted me right after walking in. I explained to him the issue she was having, he gave me (2) options... 1. Send it out for service/cleaning for $199 OR 2. He'll take a look at it real quick and see if it's just got some material/dirt build up in the bobbin and go from there... since it's a very common issue and easy fix. I went with option 2, he was able to quickly get it apart and we noticed quite a bit of build up and he showed me how to clean it out and also where to look for problem areas, as well as put it back together and gave me some tips. We did some test sewing runs and it ran smooth again. He said NO CHARGE, let me know if there's any further issues. Very thankful for his service and tips, will definitely be back when needed. read more

Really my experience with Moore's Sewing was excellent. I purchased a beautiful machine the NQ3600D from Brother. I use it everyday. Purchasing and Shipping could not have gone smoother. Andrea was very patient and knowledgeable with any questions I had. I wanted to test how smooth the shipping process is and ordered a few notions to be sent to me, and again very prompt shipping. OMG!!!! The women here.....Camilla(of Denmark) and Linda, especially are the most amazing "can do" people that I have encountered in a very long time. I am leaving the country in 5 hrs and needed to get my military veteran cover embroidered. Well, no other place could do same day stitching. All were at least 3 days out. I called and explained my dilemma to Camilla and she said without hesitation "come in honey, we'll take care of you!" I come in and after 3-4 hrs of trying and retrying and retrying the produced the most impressive work that I could have imagined. I can't say enough about their never give up attitude, and they are amazingly friendly to top it all off. Whomever has assembled this crew is a genius, and that genius should recognize these women for the hero's that they are. I have visited this store to purchase thread and presser feet but I had never bought a machine there till today. I have been looking into a heavy duty straight stitch sewing machine for bag making. I spoke with Manny and we decided to try and do a comparison between two machines - Juki 2200 qvp mini and the Janome HD9. The next day I brought some leather to test but a part was missing from the Janome so we couldn't proceed. Manny found out the Mission Viejo store had the machine in stock and spoke to the store manager Diane about the situation. I drove over to the Mission Viejo store and Diane had me compare the stitching on my leather sample to see which machine would meet my needs. I left with the Janome HD9. It turn out Diane is a bag maker as well. I'm so happy I have my machine and enjoyed the customer service experience at both Moore's locations - Corona and Mission Viejo. read more
