I like a firm intense massage, but this masseuse went way too hard with the cupping and the massage in general. I attempted to convey this but the lack of communication and language barrier prevented any sort of customization. She also had her cell phone on the massage table and it was vibrating the entire time. I left feeling more sore and stressed. They unfortunately don't seem to understand their mission. read more

I booked my boyfriend a foot massage through Joy Massage's booking portal as a Christmas present. Unfortunately, it ended up being a logistical challenge. My boyfriend arrived and was pressured into getting a full body massage, even though the booking confirmation clearly lists the length and massage type. The receptionist also tried to charge him $10 more than what was listed online until he showed them the confirmation. While the massage itself was nice, the rooms weren't maintained nicely and you can hear between rooms. We likely would not return. read more

First time here at the Joy Spa Shop. I enjoyed my 30-35 minute foot massage from Lulu. She did an incredible job and was very friendly. I would give this place 1 star if it wasn't for my masseuse giving me a good massage. Otherwise they are completely creepy and unprofessional making the place feel like it's under mentally unstable ownership. I checked in before my appt in person 15 mins early. While I am at the counter checking in, of which they can also see on security camera right at front desk, someone called me from the same establishment on my cell phone. I told them I'm already there at their establishment, and it felt weird they were calling me. Feels like being harassed as a customer. Then a women comes out from the back right after the call and I simply asked if she was the one who just called me. She claimed she wasn't and said aggressively: What's the problem? I looked at her ignorant self and asked her: Who said there is a problem? She needs to learn how to grow a brain and talk to people. It made it obvious people probably complain here a lot since she was on edge about that subject already. Although I called on the phone to make my appt beforehand, they didn't tell me they would take full payment upfront BEFORE the massage and that it would be a $4 charge to use a credit or debit card over cash. That's the highest charge I have ever heard for a credit card and it is ugly when people are greedy and do not communicate these "policies" on the phone before you drive up. Additionally, after that pre-payment plus $4 fee...a loud static noise came on and someone started talking very unattractively through the camera about the $4 charge. Seriously, you cannot explain the $4 charge with your humans that answer the phone or in person. It was completely loud and disruptive and felt like an invasion of privacy talking through security cameras and disruptive to people if they were getting a massage but it was empty which is probably why they were so terrible, called my personal cell phone to harass me when I'm already there and 15 mins early and Abrasive staff in the back. I kept my cell phone on me for the first time my entire massage and couldn't relax with it because of all the unexpected professionalism. read more

Went here with my bff randomly decided to get a foot rub. It was a bit of a rocky start, there's a small language barrier but all in all two very nice ppl assisted us with our foot massages. We got the 30 massage idk why we didn't get an hour because they really did a great job. The atmosphere is a little cluttered in the lobby but when you get to the massage space it's nice and clean. This place is not a luxury foot spa so if that's what you're looking for just move along $30 bucks for $30 minutes it is what it is haa. Overall if in the area again I'd return. They prefer cash and I was allowed to pay after my service. I wonder if ppl have run out on them after getting a massage based on the other reviews haa I can't imagine but we paid and tipped they were nice. Just got a massage here. It was terrible. Felt like the woman was filling time to be finished with an hour. Used elbows the entire time digging into my back over and over again. Did not massage feet at all. None of it was pleasurable. Left with major pain in my left shoulder which keeps me up at night for three days now. Would never return or recommend to anyone. read more

Nee price $40/hr reflexology I called in and she told me it's $30/hr but when I got there price was $40/hr. okay, maybe misunderstanding. She asked to pay upfront so I gave her creditcard and I was charged $42 instead of $40 which it stated on the sheet.... then she asked for tip in cash (before massage...?) um....? I gave her $10 to break it then she asks if it's for tip to keep so I repeated again to break the $10.... that's the pre-massage. for the 60min massage she did head shoulder and arms, then moved on to be feet and legs, massage was really good and perfectly what I needed, but then phone rings and she picks up the phone and starts speaking right next to me.... and there are more people other than her too... after the legs I faced down and she gave me back , shoulder and neck massage. so even if it is "reflexology " course I pretty much got my entire body. Overall the massage is good. Location has parking lot and convenient. It's just pricing may not be the same as what you are told or see, but since the massage was good for the price I did not say or complain anything. read more

Went with my mom to this place and after reading the comments I decided to get a massage too. The worst experience. This was my second time getting a massage from this type of places and never again. They touch my booty inappropriate, massage was very hard and painful, I even got a big bruise on my back. When it comes to prices and payments, more horrible. The lady said it was mandatory to leave a 20% tip. Excuse me! Since when tips are mandatory? I paid separately my service and my mom's service and the lady said no, no tips are 20% minimum. She even translated with her phone saying that when you go to a restaurant "you need to leave a tip for the service". She gave me a look when I said no true. Well after the fist location went unexpectedly, I searched for an actual place that we can get massages. I find this spot, first impressions are it is a small place with 2 people and one host. They could use some peaceful vibes and decoration work but overall me and my friend, we had two totally different experience. I loved the massage that the lady gave me. She found all the spots and provided a good relaxing massage experience for me. My friend hasn't really appreciate the other man's job. I remember her asking constantly for more oil or pressure but he refused to use oil etc. Overall two different experiences. I like the slow low temp relaxing music as well. I really wanted to like this place, it's so convenient and close to my place but this has got to be one of the worst massages I've ever gotten in my life. Honestly this was a really bad massage. Me and my friend were so excited for these massages and we walked out very disappointed. The staff seem nice but their techniques were completely off. I always get a massage and I knew it was going to be a bad massage when they used a little bit of lotion instead of oil. And the way she was massaging me was extremely rough and it seems very rushed. I kept making my legs stiff so she aware how much it hurt even though I ask her for medium when she asked for my preference. It was obvious I wasn't relaxed at all. I couldn't wait till it was over.
