Salmon was so fresh, buttery, and melted in your mouth. All the food was amazing along with the attentive service.

We have been going here for YEARS, however since the ownership changed the service is non existent and not friendly. We are so disappointed as this was a place we went weekly. The prices have also gone up. We would pay the prices, but not when we have to ask for service. This is very sad. read more

Sashimi wasn't fresh at all. They have a fancy robot delivering your food, but they should have spent the money on fresh fish instead. I've eaten sashimi all over the world and this is the worst I've ever had and extremely expensive- and didn't come with rice. read more

I placed an order for pick up. I was told that the order would be ready in 15 minutes. When I arrived 15 minutes later, I was told the order was almost ready and to please have a seat and wait for it. I sat for 30 minutes before my order was ready and brought out to me. The restaurant looked very busy and I doubt it got that busy immediately after I placed my order. This place was recommended to us by the concierge at our hotel. It's located inside of a strip mall and the inside is very dark and small. However, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Came here first the second time. No one speaks English so it made ordering difficult. We had a good octopus nigeri, the caterpillar roll had a tiny amount of octopus and huge imitation crab amount. I don't like anything imitation when eating sushi. Not a very friendly place. We were the first in here and service is super slow. Seems like they are more worried about take out. If we want sushi we go or order from Joyce's and always love our meal. Tonight, we ordered for pick up. It was fast to get prepared but unfortunately that is where it stops....prawn tempura, same size as usual but the shrimps was so small in length and diameter...definitely wasn't butterflied.....very disappointing,. Next, was my favorite, avocado bomb, OMG these are usually so good....well not this time. Spicy tuna mix was dry, hardly any crab mix and definitely not cream cheese.....once again very disappointing. Next, the garlic edamame, they were tasty but a bit under cook, hard to pull out of the shell. Our main meal was two tiger roll and salmon sashimi. When we opened the box our first reaction was how tiny the roll was, second was, why does it look wet, third was, how come there is hardly any rice around the roll. Taste wasn't bad but nothing like their usual, again very disappointing. Salmon sashimi was very good...pretty hard to miss cutting up a good piece of fish. And the most disappointing was the price $128 We don't mind paying that kind of money when the food is well prepared and taste good and you have what you always get for your money, but tonight it was ridiculous. We hope that someone from Joyce's will read this review and have a talk with their kitchen staff, they need to address this. Maybe we'll give them another chance but it's an expensive chance to take. read more

Tonight we attempted to dine at Joyce's Sushi, one of our favorite sushi places in the valley. Tonight there were many exceptions to their usual wonderful, dining experience. First of all their pricing is gone dramatically higher to the point that it may prevent us from going back. Their food is absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared but the pricing has just gotten out of hand. Most importantly, we noticed a couple of very young children running carelessly through the entire restaurant and even going BEHIND THE BAR! I don't know California restaurant rules, but I'm nearly positive that would be considered illegal to have any young kids behind a bar with alcohol. After asking some questions of our waitress, we learned that those children are the children of the owners. It appeared as though the kids had free rein to go anywhere in the restaurant for entertainment, and they took advantage of it. Lastly we ordered a virgin bloody Mary and when the bill came it was $14 for a glass of bloody Mary mix with no alcohol. We brought that to the attention of our server and she quickly reduced it down to $10. Still a little pricey. Since this is a very, very popular sushi place, I'm sure the owners could afford to have a sitter for the kids instead of having them run throughout the restaurant and playing unsupervised. I'm sure they are probably good kids but a restaurant serving so many customers is not a place for children uncontrolled.I think we will have to find another sushi location. read more
