I had a great experience with Joy's Cleaners. I learned about this place from my mom as I'm not too familiar with good places for dry cleaning. I have been here before to get a blazer hemmed and she did a great job. I brought 6 jackets/coats to be dry cleaned and they took great care of them. I dropped off my garments and was able to pick them up within a couple of weeks. When I went to pick them up, they were ready to go, I paid, and she helped bring all my jackets to the car. So kind! I did pay $130 for all 6, which felt like a lot but they did a great job and provided a higher level of service. I will be back when needed! read more

Cost today is everything in this economy whether it's hemming pants, or dry cleaning your clothes; I just spent $75 on hemming my pants to look like the original hem. They came out perfect but with $75 I could've bought another pair of pants. The Hems were perfect, the cost too much. read more

The workers got ink on my sports jacket and claimed it was already there when I dropped it off. No refund. No attempt to remove it. In denial for their own fault. Wouldn't recommend these services unless you're willing to take a risk on your clothing. read more

I walked in today with a single shirt for dry cleaning, a completely reasonable request for any normal business. Before I could even speak, the woman working there took one look at me, pointed at the door, and flatly told me to "get out." No explanation, no courtesy, not even a glance at the garment I was holding. Just immediate, unprovoked dismissal. This was my first time visiting and if this is how new customers are treated, I can't imagine how poorly they run the rest of the business. There was no attitude on my end, no issue at all. $75 to raise my cuffs. I even brought her two jacket sizes of the same linen suit to explain what I needed. I wanted the cuffs raised and the jacket taken in. She didn't even take the jacket in from the back as the vent stitch wa still in place when I picked it up. Wife was so pissed that I paid so much for a terrible alteration job. read more

I brought a dress that needed to be altered with advanced time and she charged me $40, reasonable. I brought a second dress to be alter again and she tried to charge me $75!!!! The dress cost me $60! It was a simple wrap around dress, nothing fancy. It's such a shame for the over charging, very friendly and nice but over charge for sure! read more

I love love LOVE this dry cleaners. I am very particular with my clothes- especially my sweaters. This is the only place I like to take my things- I am the type of person who likes to make my clothes last as long as I can and several of my items I have had for over 10 years if not more! Not only do I go here for cleanings, but I also have came on multiple occasions to get a dress hemmed for a special occasion such as a wedding, and their work is unsurpassed! I dropped off a childhood shirt that was irreplaceable. I dropped off the shirt along with a second shirt to measure the alterations from. A week went by and Joy called and said I needed to come in to measure in person. Unfortunately I got laid off a week later and the measurements slipped my mind. A few months passed and I knew I had measurements to do. But my new work hours made getting there during business hours tough. I went there today to find out they threw away my shirt. They have a 30 day policy. I don't expect them to keep items forever. But I don't think it's unreasonable to call and give at least ONE courtesy call before throwing away someone's stuff. People only dry clean or alter items of value. The responsibility is on me for the delay, but a single courtesy call would have normal customer service in my opinion. Their attitude was dismissive and unapologetic. read more

Family run business, and I wish only good things. I went in for a pant hem and they couldn't have been friendlier. Charged me $10 and I could pick up in a week. Sounded good. While I was in there a man came in to pick up a suit and he noticed it had not been cleaned at all. They agreed and said they'd clean it and have it for him tomorrow. He was upset and left the suit. I went in to get my pants today and was told I still had the balance due. Now, I think $20 is a fair price, but I feel crappy about being told I hadn't paid when I had. I took my $330.00 Keetsa mattress pad with a Hilton five year warranty that's only 16 months old, to have dry clean. I was told it would be ready the next day at 3pm, they called me the next day said oh no come in Monday instead after 3pm. On Monday they called to tell me to come in at 5:50pm or tuesday would be better. I stated that I would be there at 5:50, when I got there I could see that it had been washed and i only ask for dry clean. Since it was washed it automatically voids the warranty, no ifnor buts. The label clearly states that it dry clean only. So I take it home put it on the bed, it's now shrunk two sizes, its lumpy and the water protector has unraveled. So in other words it's damaged goods and the owner told me he could fix it (that's impossible) he even stated that it was old. It's not even 1-1/2. Needless to say he would not reimburse me of any kind I even paid for the dry clean which was not dry cleaned $35 and he seem to be very content with the fact that he ruined my mattress pad. I called the police and was told this is a civil suit therefore it will cost me more money to take him to court which they will just say it was an accident and I still have nothing to stand on. I just want everyone to understand who you're taking your items to, good luck if you do decide to use them. I will let God (He is my protector) take care of this owner business. read more

So far, so good. Clothes were taken in to be cleaned, and came back undamaged and available the day I asked for it to be ready (about a week or so). They give you a printed receipt with all the pricing on it so you know how much each piece it. I'm not sure if it's expensive or not, though. $3 for a collar shirt, $5 for a cardigan, and I don't recall the blouse, but I think it was the most expensive. Owners/workers were friendly. Parking is relatively easy, but during peak work-out hours, you might be over a row or two due to Crunch. read more

Amazing! I took my dress it to get altered, mind you my dress was three sizes too big! It was for a wedding that was a week in a half away and it was done one day before. I went in to try it on and pick up but the seamstress wasn't happy with the fit so she asked me to let her make one small adjustment. Honestly I already felt the dress fit perfectly but she insisted. My son was getting married in April and I was not able to try on my dress at the store due to Covid so I bought the dress I wanted and it was too big. As kind as the woman is, she did not sew my curtains to the same length. I spent $50 for a same-day service, she had my items from 9 AM until 5 PM. I was really upset that she did not even press or iron the curtains before making an alteration. She told me that would be another $10 if I wanted my items press that she's working on, I said no thanks. Below is a photo of my curtains after bringing them to the alteration. They were brand new just bought never touched by anyone but this shop. I called and explained that I was upset that they are different lengths and the inside has a gap. The women I spoke with was kind, her English is not the best. She told me to bring down my curtains and they will be fixed for free cause she made a mistake. Then after taking them to her, I get a phone calls saying if I want them to be the same length it will be $15 more but it should be $25 so I'm getting "a deal". She never said any of this in person. I spent $35 on these curtains when I bought them new from the store . To get them altered she expects me to spend $75 and have to commute twice from 25 miles away? I was unable to ask questions because every time I spoke .....she spoke over me. I have not picked up my curtains yet because I am furious. I plan to go tomorrow morning and hope to update this review. Very very disappointed, unprofessional. I didn't appreciate being hung up on when I was asking her why I am being charged so much. The man and women don't let you speak and clearly can't even see a straight line. Beware of overpaying and the poorest quality work you could ever ask for. read more

This place ruined my wedding dress. Brought my brand new Tadashi Shoji dress to be taken in from the waist down and cleaned on the BOTTOM. Picked it up to find stains all over it. The man wasn't going to tell me about it, and was expecting me to take it without checking it out. After I noticed the stains, he says to me "oh yeah that happened yesterday". Very dishonest business. I never wore my dress and fiancé never saw it. But that is ruined now because he had to come help resolve the problem. After telling them NOT to touch it to keep it there until we come back to pick it up they sent it to the "factory" across the street to be cleaned. Customer service is obviously NOT a priority here and the man behind the counter thought he could talk to me like his wife when he raised his voice and tried to snatch the receipt from my hands. No ***king way! Thank you for your horrible business ethics and piece of crap customer service skills. I would give zero stars but I don't think that's allowed. It actually looks like someone wore my dress and had a good ol time in it. The stains are ridiculous. I can't believe this. They had my dress for two weeks. I've been really disappointed the past two times I've brought a nice part of a suit for stitching of a rip. Each time the stitching appeared to be over the top and completely ruined both items. My suit jacket had a small rip about 1/4" and stitching was now 1"x1", definitely not inconspicuous. I really like the owner and think they are really nice but i will not be going back. $45 later and not only did i blow money to expand the suit but the whole thing is now 100% ruined. read more

Had a pair of slacks altered (zipper fixed) and dry cleaned. It was done very well.

I had a few skirts that I needed the hems fixed on, so I consulted good ol' Yelp for a place to handle the alterations. I decided to try Joy's based on the 2 previous 5 star reviews and it's proximity. I also had a few shirts I needed dry cleaned too, so I was able to kill 2 birds with one stone. My garments were done on the day and time they were promised. The hems on my skirts were mended perfectly. A stain on one of my shirts didn't come out the first time, so the woman there (I can only assume the owner) told me she was putting it through again to try to get it out. When I went to go pick that back up, she remembered me, knew exactly where my shirt was without even looking at the ticket and couldn't have been nicer. Joy's Cleaners is everything a small, independent business should be--quality work and outstanding, personalized customer service. Bravo! read more

I've been meaning to update my last review for a while now. Please read that for reasons I won't be coming back. But things just got worse. The last time I picked up laundry there, one of my t-shirts had some weird white streaks on it. It was not a cheap t-shirt (James Perse $50). The owner told me not to worry, it would wash out. It didn't. I took it to another cleaner. They said it was stained because it wasn't washed correctly. They rewashed it at my request, but the streaks remain. To sum up. These people lost my comforter, gave me attitude about it, refused to pay me enough to replace it, ruined an expensive t-shirt, and lied to me about it. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Went in an with a quote of $12-$15 to have pants zipper completely removed and changed. After I went to do the pickup, the owner stated she was able to make the changes without having to change the whole zipper she showed me that the zipper was only missing and that the zipper itself was in perfect condition. She bottom part of the zipper where the zipper came out and sewed and reinforced so that the zipper piece will not come out again. The cost was less than she originally quoted. That's customer service. They look out for their customer. My wife is now getting her dress trimmed will let you know more later. read more
