I was a little nervous since this cape did have embroidery and heavy detail on the sides, so I knew it was going to be hard to do, but she said it wouldn't be a huge issue. But she did see it immediately and pointed out she could only take it in so much so it didn't ruin the embroidery pattern. She gave me a quote that was under 100 dollars (so, it was totally worth buying on sale even though I knew it was 3 sizes too big and would need altered) (she literally saved me thousands) She called me about 2-3 days later for pick up, and she knocked it out of the park I came back in for more alterations and I was immediately greeted by the owner,Kim, who is so warm and friendly. She's extremely honest about what CAN and CANNOT be done. And, gives you honest prices. She really aims to get the job done and up to everyone's standards to make sure everyone is happy. She's so professional yet so warm and friendly. I seriously love how talented, Kim is. I brought in a Gucci cardigan that had a little snag in it that was turning into a BIG snag. Today, while doing my laundry, I witnessed the Hispanic employee on duty treat an elderly Black man with the same level of suspicion and disrespect he has shown me for months. He stares constantly and sometimes follows me around; it feels like harassment and sends a clear message of 'What are you doing here?' Debra kept me informed of all the steps as we took them because I've never done anything like this before. Debra reached out and I heard back immediately and then met my mom within days of that contact. It's been such a wonderful feeling to know I look like someone, something an adoptee fully understands. I now have a connection to history. I have known ancestry. It's odd to say but knowing about them has made such a difference in knowing about me. My father's identity is still a mystery but that's okay at this time. I have a mother who wants a relationship with me and we share so much in common it's like finding a new best friend. We just shared my birthday together 53 years later. I learned that she never got to see me at birth. Such a truly incredible gift! And to think I almost let fear get in the way. If you are on the fence about this, just do it! You've had a lifetime of not knowing, not connecting. Isn't it time to know? Connect yourself to history. It's like discovering a part of yourself that you never knew was missing. Like finding another half of a story you already thought you'd read. It's a very profound feeling. I highly recommend it!

This shop is my official tailoring go-to for any big events I have! There was a banquet at my university from a student organization I'm a part of and I absolutely wanted to go all out. Dress shopping was a lengthy process, but I finally found the most perfect and gorgeous formal dress that was a special shadeof pastel pink, but it didn't fit me the way I wanted it to... It wasn't fitting my waist and I didn't like the puffy shoulder sleeves it had. I don't really l ike tailors in Huntington Beach because to me, it often feels like I'm not prioritized so it takes more time than usual to get it done. I visited this shop a week before so that there was time to fix the dress if I didn't like the way it came out. The place looks professional and amazing! It's a comfortable atmosphere with the friendly owner of the business and his darling family. I told him the problems with the dress and he had me try it on, I brought my heels to wear with it. He has an eye for detail and altered it exactly the way I envisioned it! I'm very happy with his service, especially since it's affordable and quick. Most tailors take too long or just seem distant as they only do a standard job, but Ahmed was wonderful and had it ready 4 days later which was perfect because the event was the next weekend! I had been going to the tailor next door to this place for years, and I've been looking for a new one since she retired. The family at Ahmed Tailoring Company has been so kind and welcoming, and they even finished my dress earlier than expected. Just a heads up - when I picked up it was cash only. Lovely service! I am going to a birthday celebration in 2 weeks and needed someone experienced that could help me alter my dress. I brought in my white dress that I want to wear for my sister's engagement party in 2 weeks and it was too long. It also felt loose around my waist, I told him exactly what I didn't like about it. I was able to make an appointment the same day I found them on yelp. The customer service from the person making the appointments, Dantella and the other girls making the alterations was exceptional. They added a bustle and straps to the dress. The straps made my dress looked more elegant. I was also able to pick up my dress the weekend before my wedding which gave me peace of mind. I can't recommend them enough.

HORRIBLE SERVICE !!!!…read more Even though I specifically requested that they not use pins to secure the train, they returned the dress with two pins stuck into the bodice, leaving visible holes. When I brought it back, they said it could be fixed right away, so I returned again a couple of days later to pick it up--but it hadn't been properly repaired. Only the lower part of the train had been addressed, while the most important area was left untouched. They then asked me to come back again a week later. When I finally received the dress, it came back with severe stains on the décolletage area that were not there when I first brought it in. Even after I complained, their response was shockingly irresponsible--they said they didn't want to touch the dress anymore. This is truly unacceptable service. I strongly advise against bringing your precious wedding dress to this place. I have worked in the wedding industry for over 25 years, and I have never experienced such poor service. Out of the five dresses I entrusted to them, two were returned in a condition that made them unusable.
