Philly cheese soup

We had the best soup bowl and enjoyed with a local beer and it was divine! Such a great stop, so friendly, and the best soup I've ever had! Try the Philly cheese soup with a beer from the Peak!

Awesome cheeseburger mushroom soup in a bread bowl

I built this place up in my mind - probably too much so. Who doesn't lust after an amazing bread bowl of hearty soup for lunch after a solid morning on the slopes? So needless to say, I was salivating before I'd even taken my board off. I'm not sure why I was surprised at it being pretty crowded, but I was. My soup fantasy involved quietly sipping on a hearty chowder by a roaring fire. That did not happen. There were no seats left inside, so we sat outside (it was chilly, but not unbearable). Our soup took a while to arrive - I guess dipping a ladle into a pot is more delicate an art than I thought. It also proved to be very beneficial that we were hungry since the soup cools off pretty quickly when it's below 30F outside - of no fault of the restaurant. The soup we had was decent but nothing to write home about. And riddle me this - who serves soup out of a bread bowl that isn't sourdough?! Granted I'm not even a huge sourdough fan, but the shear physics of the concept of using plain white bread loaves left me puzzled. The bottom of the bowl became a gooey, mushy mess and if you order a thinner soup, you're bound to spring a leak before you even hit the bottom of the bowl unless you really chow down. So less talking and dreaming of a roaring fire... get to town draining that bowl before you end up with a mess on your hands.

This place has great soups! It's a small quiet place at the winter park village, great to stop by on after hitting the slopes. You won't get full with the soup, it's a small portion. We ordered the Chicken Green Chili and Chicken and rice, will definitely recommend. They were both fantastic, if they have it get the Chicken Green Chili. It's not what you would expect from a "Chili," it's mostly vegetables but beware it is spicy; has the perfect kick. Will definitely be back. The only negative is the same thing we are to expect from winter park, it's pricy for what you get. We spend $15 for two cups of soup and a fountain drink.

Stopped in for soup and sandwiches before heading out to do some hiking. The homemade chicken noodle soup was great and my girlfriend enjoyed the chipotle butternut squash since she's veggy. Nice owners and sweet location right in the village

I stopped in here for breakfast- very good breakfast sandwich and I didn't even realize it - it comes with home potatoes as well- very friendly staff- will come back

Love this place, great food, helped me stick to my diet, their meals can be made paleo friendly (bunless burger with lettuce) awesome staff (Jodi is fantastic) ate their 3 days in a row last time I was here last year, eating here 3 more times this trip too, will go back everytime I am in Winterpark, (helpful hint you can pick up the resorts wifi from here most times)

It was delicious until we found the hair deeply embedded in our guacamole. Told the staff and they didn't seem to care.

Good spot to watch sports games too, they have a lot of TVs around. Ordered the double ditch burger with onion rings, and a house marg. The burger was awesome. Definitely messy and was falling apart by the last few bites, but well worth it. The green chiles were a nice touch for some flavor and heat but not overpowering. Definitely filling and the move after a long ski day. The onion rings were good too - nice and crisp. The marg was strong and a fair price. Overall had a great experience here and would recommend and return.

The second time we arrived and saw it was him, I was like oh great. he started off snarky but as we ordered more food and drinks and relaxed and actually because really nice to us by the time we left. If the weather is nice enough I suggest sitting on the patio. They have a gorgeous view and plenty of seating. We tried the Juantons and they are served with their spicy green chile. It was too spicy for me so we got a side of queso and it was perfect for dipping in. I would get these again. The margs are good here too. Pretty strong.

The ambiance inside is cozy, welcoming, and warm--perfect for unwinding and hanging out after a long day outdoors. The food itself was genuinely good and packed with authentic flavor. My only minor critique is that the portions were a bit smaller than expected for the price point, so if you're coming in with a massive post-hike or ski appetite, you might want to order a few extra tapas to share around the table. That being said, everything tasted fresh and well-executed, and the service was friendly and attentive. It's a solid 4-star spot for great Spanish cuisine and excellent energy in Winter Park. Definitely worth a visit!
