Amazing coffee, just right temp, perfect blend! Owner was so friendly. We were in town for a funeral, and just happened upon it!

Kind of bummed about this because there really isn't anything like it in the area. Walk into the…read moreplace and get seated immediately, the table is completely wet so I have to use my napkin to dry it off. There is one family eating, and two people at the bar, so it's basically empty. I counted 10 employees. Nobody even looked in my direction, and I sat there for 15 min before anyone bothered to come up to me. They certainly walked past me multiple times, but never asked if I'd been helped, didn't ask if I needed anything, just acted as if I wasn't there. That sucks. The service sucks. That's just the truth. The food is good, it's definitely overpriced, but the quality is there. Great burgers, FANTASTIC truffle fries, and good pizza!! That being said, I really had higher expectations, especially with that many employees walking around and the location. It's a prime location in dripping springs, and I can tell you that people aren't going to waste their time with poor service like that. If they can figure that part out, then they'll make a killing. I'll be back, but it definitely won't be my first choice when making a decision.

From the moment you walk in, there's a charming gift shop filled with candles, books and home décor that immediately sets a nice vibe. A little further in is The Shop, which I didn't fully explore but I did notice they were serving ice cream shakes and soda floats, a nice touch especially for families. The highlight for me was definitely the bar, which flows from the indoor space out onto a spacious patio. The drink menu had something for everyone with a solid selection of local drafts, wine and an extensive cocktail list. I went with the cherry old fashioned, a creative twist on a classic that really delivered. Sipping that while taking in a breathtaking Hill Country sunset and listening to live music on the patio made for a perfect stop. This place is also incredibly kid-friendly, with designated play areas so parents can relax and enjoy themselves. There's even a separate market offering oven-baked pizza, fresh coffee and specialty grocery items. I popped in there as well and found the staff welcoming and the offerings thoughtfully curated. With plenty of parking, great drinks, live music and a laid-back atmosphere Oakwood Public Market is absolutely worth a stop if you're heading out to the Hill Country.

Fear not, the factory (distillery) in Buda isn't going anywhere. The folks here told me the property and buildings are being taken over and another business will be coming in. It just makes me sad because we love it here. We love everything about it and took for granted that it will always be here. The tasting room and distillery are huge and so tastefully put together. See what I did there? Lol. The grounds are the epitome of Hill Country. Amazing views of wildflowers, brush, and sky all about. Lots and lots of outdoor patio seating, food truck area, large indoor seating, tasting bar, large ordering bars, gift shop, games, and lots more. I'm reviewing as they're leaving because this is another one of those draft reviews that I've been waiting to be finished for a long time. I gotta get better at that lol. Anyway, that matters not because this place still deserves an incredible review. Absolutely amazing drinks and people. It (was) a great way to wind down after a day of outdoor activity in Hill Country. A+++++

The space is huge, staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the vodka flavors were unbelievably good. We had the opportunity to check out their newest, chocolate espresso which I predict will be a major hit. I plan to return for a longer stay and enjoy their outdoor space to eat, drink and soak up some warm Texas sun.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Thyme & Dough…read more Per my confirmed order ticket, I arrived and placed my order at 9:13 a.m. I ordered two breakfast sandwiches and two iced coffees, and my total came to $42.80, including a 20% tip. After waiting over 20 minutes without any update, I asked around 9:34 a.m. how much longer my order would take. Instead of simply apologizing or providing an update, the employee checked my payment time and told me that the wait was "right on target" for a good breakfast. When I politely expressed that the wait seemed excessive for what I had ordered, she reiterated that this was normal and that good food takes time to prepare. I didn't feel those comments were necessary--they made me feel dismissed rather than understood. She also stated there had been a long line ahead of us, which wasn't accurate. When I arrived at 9:13, there was only one customer finishing her order at the register. I finally received my food at approximately 9:38 a.m. While I understand that fresh food takes time, a 25-minute wait for two breakfast sandwiches and two iced coffees, especially with no proactive communication, felt excessive. A simple acknowledgment of the delay or a more empathetic response would have made a significant difference. Instead, I left feeling that my concerns were brushed aside. Between the lengthy wait, the dismissive interaction, and the overall experience, I didn't feel the service justified the price or the 20% tip that was included in my purchase. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.
