Gifford's is very cute! Its a little deli in Sharon, and has a small parking lot on the side, with a side entrance past the restrooms. There is a front entrance, and you can parrellel park there, but wow those stone steps are high. There are some cute tables and chairs I guess if there's no room inside, but they have to be hot. Plus you order indoors anyway... There are cold drinks by Coca Cola for sale, breakfast until noon, and premade pastries for those on the go. You can order ahead because I saw people do it, but not sure how. My California Smashburger was creamy so that I didn't need ketchup, the avocado and dressing were perfect! What an unexpected delight! We stopped in on a whim and were absolutely blown away. We ordered the Turkey BLT and the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich and I'm still thinking about them. Easily some of the best sandwiches we've ever had. They were incredibly fresh, perfectly balanced, and packed with flavor. The café itself is charming and beautifully decorated, with a warm, welcoming vibe. The service was friendly, fast, and genuinely kind. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Went in Saturday morning 11 AM. Got five different pastries. 4 Out of 5 were horribly stale!!!!The only one that was not stale was a muffin that was noted by the barista as,NOT made in house. Nice little small town café that serves up a variety of food, baked goods, coffee, tea and even beer and wine. The staff is very friendly, there are a few tables for dining in, and there are parking spaces on either side of the building. Small cafe in a small town but such good food. 4/5 stars because I think just a little more flavoring would have made a spectacular sandwich. - The salmon bagel need just some salt but maybe I would've got that if I get an everything bagel instead of plain - Pork Kimichi breakfast wrap needs some soy sauce or kimchi brine on the pork to complete it. The breakfast menu was different than the one online, some things were unavailable and some things were added. The people working there are very nice and care about what they're making, making sure every customer is happy. Probably 2-3 tables to sit inside because it's not a big location but has more to offer. They have lunch foods and they have a bunch of pastries in a display by the register if you want to come in just for coffee and a crossiant. Whether I order online or call over the phone there is constantly something wrong and usually involves adding egg and cheese when I didn't ask for any. JP Gifford's is a cozy little cafe at a very convenient location/intersection. They serve drinks (alcoholic and caffeinated), entrees, breakfast, and all their baked goodies (like the "Million Dollar Cookie") are on display. Seating is kind of awkward because there's mostly big tables of 6 rather 4 people inside. There's 4 small, circular outdoor tables too. It'd be best if you ordered items to go from here. From the 3 times I went, I got their spicy Korean BBQ chicken cutlet sandwich ($10), their pork ramen bowl for $13, and their California smash burger ($10) with parmesan fries along with their Million Dollar Cookie ($2). The BBQ chicken cutlet sandwich had great texture, nice and crispy breading on the chicken cutlet and a nice sweet and subtle slaw inside. Their ramen bowl was okay although it didn't have as many flavors as I expected in the broth. The California smash burger was massive! I didn't end up finishing it. Pleas note there is arugula in it...(personally not a big fan and I completely missed it in the description. Oops). The portion of their parmesan fries could definitely feed 2-4 people. Also note that they are made out of actual potato. The Million Dollar cookie consists of walnuts, coconut, white chocolate, milk chocolate, and other ingredients I might be missing. This sounds like an overly sweet cookie, but honestly it was the perfect mix! I've never had a cookie like that before...they are also THICC!!! Overall, I enjoyed the quaint little cafe in Sharon, CT but I wish there was more kick or spices to the food. It tasted a little bland, but the texture of everything was definitely on point. It's a great spot for lunch on the go or for your morning coffee run. I did not get a chance to check out the breakfast menu, but would totally try it next time if I could! read more
