Ivan, with AZ Desert Plumbing, was the first to respond and I checked out his website and the Better Business Bureau website. No complaints noted so I called them and made a no-cost appointment. Ivan arrived on time, ready to work on an older (20 year old) park model, permanently set on a foundation. He approached the problem from every accessible entrance (3) to the plumbing, to include using a snaked camera when it was determined that it wasn't accessible in person. He found the leak in the wastewater line and documented it on film. He was willing to decline the job, at no cost for the diagnosis, and refer the job to someone who might be a tiny gymnast. But, he also agreed to gain access through the vinyl siding and plywood sheathing, to which I agreed. Ivan methodically removed the siding and cut an access panel through the sheathing to access the waste pipe. The failed section was removed and replaced quickly and tested, with no leaks. Ivan had given me a quote for the job with the caveat that I would reassemble the removed wood and siding. He did quality work as I looked over his shoulder and explained everything he was doing. When his job was done, I had intact plumbing. And, after the agreed upon job, he went the extra mile and put everything back together, to include using his own parts. Definitely recommend him because of his integrity and experience…read more I have another plumber who wanted to charge $650 to repair the problem, and I know he would have charged me even if he couldn't fix it or if the problem disappeared. So I found Jason on Google and texted him to just go out to the property and take a look. Jason actually wanted to troubleshoot the problem, and me being an engineer I appreciate that instead of just jumping into replacing something, which is what the other guy wanted to do, he wanted to troubleshoot and find out exactly what was wrong. Jason spent some time going to the store picking up a pressure gauge and installing it on the putside faucet. He then instructed the tenant to flush the toilets at different times of the day, just to see if they can hear the noise they heard again. So the tenants supposedly never heard the noise again, even though they were complaining about it for a while, and I told Jason to send me a bill for his time and for the parts. Jason actually refused to invoice me because he said he didn't really provide the real solution, so therefore he cannot charge me. I insisted that he at least charged me for an hour And for the parts comma but He still hasn't sent me the bill. From the way he was describing with the problem wasn't how to troubleshoot it, I know he's an old school experienced plumber who's not going to replace parts willy-nilly. The fact that you wouldn't charge because he didn't really find the problem, since it went away on its own, tells me he's an honest person with integrity and is not looking out there to make a quick buck. Jason came to our rescue!…read more We've noticed a very faint gas leak coming from our fireplace key valve for quite some time and my husband finally decided to call the gas company to check it. Well, he called them at 4 PM on a Friday and we quickly learned that may not have been the best idea. They shut off all of our gas and locked us up until the small leak was fixed! Not only is it hard to find a plumber who works on gas lines (about 9/10 plumbers do not do this), it's also tough to get someone out on a weekend Jason came as a referral from our chimney cleaning company and he was incredible. He came out same day (on a Saturday) to take a look and then was able to fix it on Monday/Tuesday. The best part? He was able to fix it by just removing one block from the wall (our beloved 1960s slump block wall that is one of my favorite walls in the house) and he even repaired the masonry afterwards! He literally went to a local shop and picked out the closest looking thing to slump block and made it look as good as new. WE ARE THRILLED! We are so grateful that he was able to fix the leak AND patch the work, all-in-one. The gas company came back out and we passed the test! Hooray for hot showers and clean clothes! Thank you, Jason! We'll absolutely be using him for our future plumbing needs.
