Recommended new spot by Yelp, so of course I wanted to give it a go! Ambiance: Small pizza/sandwich shop primed to be a local take-out joint. Ordered on a Friday night and the food was ready within the 15 minutes it took for me to get there. Easy to park and grab the food. Cost: It was a bit pricey for the quality/quantity of the two sandwiches I got. The stuffed garlic knots were more aligned with their price, and bigger than I expected. Pros: Food was ready in a very timely manner and the stuffed garlic knots were delicious and unique! Haven't had something like it anywhere around here, and definitely recommend to give them a try. The guys working were kind and courteous. Cons: The homemade chicken cutlet sandwich was not as gourmet as I would have expected, and the quality of the fries in the container were sub-par as well, mushy and damp. Maybe could have been packaged better. Also not much of a con, but I didn't see any signs for the location so I drove past it at first. Definitely would love for them to advertise more to get their meatballs noticed. Overall: I'll be back for the meatballs, the sandwiches I might have to pass on. Wanted to follow up since my last review. JP's is now under new ownership which has been a blessing. Had an issue with the last owner and stopped going. The new ownership has been fabulous, the young man that works the counter has been great. The food is still amazing and the menu has expanded to more options. read more

Brand new pizza place is on Midland Park right in the strip mall on Godwin Ave. They're competition is Domino's, but not sure that's any competition. Their claim to fame is they use all fresh, NEVER frozen, locally bought ingredients. I called in my order and got the eggplant sandwich. I'm always on the hunt for a good eggplant sandwich. I was thrown a curveball. I was expecting an eggplant parm but it's a breaded eggplant, FRESH mozz (thick pieces) and huge pieces of roasted peppers blanketing this sandwich. Yeah, ingredients were very fresh. Could have been another layer of eggplant. That's the only reason I dropped a star. I felt the mozz over powered the sandwich and you almost couldn't taste the eggplant. Only odd thing I found was that it came with fries. Now, the fries were actually very good but it's not something I'm expecting to get on the side when ordering a sandwich at a pizza joint. Portion size was above average and easily could've been stretched into two lunches. Service was phenomenal. Very accommodating. They had a few trays of freshly made garlic knots and a tasty they were prepping and they looked great, so I'll be back to give those a shot. They also make stuffed garlic knots.. read more

Found this place through Instagram and decided to give it a go! Sandwiches and pizza looked phenomenal on Instagram but are the opposite in person. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with broccoli rabe and asked to add fresh mozzarella. We also got the meatball parm and a slice of the margarita pizza. We got home and the chicken sandwich was just a small piece of chicken, shredded lettuce, and a white sauce; no mozzarella or broccoli rabe. The meatballs didn't have much flavor at all and the pizza was just okay. Will not be returning. read more

I ordered their eggplant & mozzarella stromboli on a whim. The place is newly opened so I wanted to give them a try. I must say - it blew me away: the chef made it fresh, it's generously portioned and the dough has the right amount of softness and crunch. I will definitely be a customer. read more

Was very excited to try the new JP's and put in an order for Friday via Grubhub. As I was about to pick up my order, Grubhub cancelled it. Upon calling grubhub, they said that JPs refused to accept it. I called JPs, who presumably lied to me and said they only saw a cancelled order, which doesnt make any sense to me. Buyer beware. I have tried this place a few times since it opened about a year ago. I live around the corner so I was excited for a new spot to open up. Then, I got the pizza and the grilled chicken salad. Both were very good and great serving size, but it was a bit pricey especially compared to similar places in this area. I did not go back since then because, in this economy, I unfortunately couldn't keep treating myself. Just last week I noticed the new deal, any sandwich + drink from I think 11 AM - 4 PM EVERY DAY for $10. This is my hedge against inflation. The quality and size at that price is unbelievable. The hot sandwiches normally cost $14 bucks. The right price is probably somewhere between the two, but please don't tell them that. You can not go wrong with any of the sandwiches. All are substantial and come with fries. When I am feeling healthy I will sometimes order the special without the fries, but that task is difficult. Chicken cutlets and meatballs are elite. I recommend getting some mozzarella because it is top notch and they are quite generous with it. You're going to like that. Italian is piled high with top notch meats and very well seasoned/dressed (not too heavy). Bottom line: This is the best place for lunch in this area now, undefeated. Pizza is also great and although better than nearby competition, it is not as affordable as the close competition. I think they made a great move with the discounted lunch, but need to advertise their offerings better. You wouldn't know they had the special unless you walked right up to the door. The place just happens to be on my dog walk route. I hope this helps get the word out to more people who may not even notice it is there when driving by. While the toppings for pizza were high quality the pizza dough was anything but "thin". It was thick and very dense!!

We've ordered from here a number of times and it's always been solid. The pizza is quite good but you do have to eat it hot. Recently had the skirt steak sandwich and that was great. I'd say it was better than the cheesesteak as that was really greasy the time we had it. The dinner box though and the lunch sandwich special are awesome values. Some of the best around in terms of what you get for your $$. read more

We recently had their sandwiches. I had an Italian hero that was filled with the perfect combination of hams, cheese, onions and seasoning. The hero was huge and could easily be shared. Great value and so delicious. My daughter had the chicken cutlet with mozzarella cheese and peppers. This also was huge and the cutlet perfectly cooked. I discovered this place about a month ago. Their cheesesteak is EXCELLENT. I'm originally from outside of Philly, so I have certain expectations....but I'm also a bit of a purist.
