The hostess, Heddy (the chef/owner's mother), sat us, and was pleasant and friendly... and, it turns out, lives in the same town as us. We brought a bottle of Prosecco, and our waitress brought two flutes and removed the red wine glasses from the table. We were each brought a small dinner roll and a bowl of a green chimichurri-type dipping sauce. The roll was crisp on the outside and soft inside. Sauce was very tasty. We ordered a Caesar salad, gnocchi (listed as an appetizer) , Portobella parmigiana, and truffle parmigiana fries to split. Salad was excellent, with a nice creamy dressing. Our waitress, thoughtfully split the salad on two plates for us. The mushrooms (2) were smaller, just right, size, with a nice tomato sauce and sautéed zucchini. I think shredded parmigiana on the top would have been better than what seemed like a thin sliced bit. Observation, not a complaint. The gnocchi were on the large side, the way that I make them at home. Soft, and not gummy at all, they were really great. The sauce was tasty with a nice helping of fresh corn. We thought the portion was huge for an appetizer. The fries were also very good. Very crisp with a generous dusting of cheese, and a distinct truffle flavor, which is usually missing. The only two (minor) complaints are that the mushroom dish came to the table luke warm, not cold, but definitely not hot. Also, it turns out that the reason the gnocchi dish was so large, is that they gave us an entree-size portion, instead of the appetizer, at just under double the appetizer price. These were (relatively) minor problems, and we didn't bring up either one to the waitress. Overall, a great meal in a comfortable restaurant. Will be returning soon.

Since our party was over 13 we had a prefix menu which was actually one of the best prefix menus I've seen. Lots of great options for both appetizers and entrees all of which were amazing! Sandwiches, burgers, steaks, pasta etc. They also have a very good bar with many draft beer choices. We have been making our way around the menu but my go to is the rail yard melt on rye instead of the roll. All the people who work there are great. If you are looking for a place to go that is simple and always good the Rail Yard tavern is worth a try. They also have a gluten free section to there menu.

He was a big help in answering any question I had. Our party was roughly 25 people and we reserved the back room for the party. The back room was big enough for all of us to fit comfortably without it feeling cramped. We ordered the apps ahead of time and were told that they would be ready at 5:30. Sure enough, at 5:30 all of the apps came out and they were a big hit. Everything was fantastic. We got some large pizzas, nachos, mozzarella sticks, potstickers, and calamari. There was practically nothing left. The entree's were great and came without delay. I didn't hear a single complaint from any of the guests. I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about our waiter for the night, Alan. I don't think I've ever seen someone be so on top of things before. He handled the whole room essentially by himself and somehow it never seemed like there was a single hiccup the whole night. He was beyond excellent. He was such a good communicator and kept me in the loop with timelines and was overall very organized. He played a significant role in the night going as well as it did. My whole family, and most importantly my mom, had such a wonderful night. And I have Bob, Alan, and the rest of the staff to thank for that.

Overall - Stone & Rail is SUCH a cool place to see a live show, especially a band that's considered 'big' for this type of venue. Tickets were $50 bucks (pretty steep for a small place) and the band was advertised to play from 8-10 and only played from 8-9. Food and drink prices were also extremely steep, like $20+ for an order of flatbread, wings, and really any other app. It's a great spot and even an hours worth of music was fun and worthwhile, but I do just wish prices were a bit more fair.
