Poor Communication and a Complete Waste of Time -My daughter contacted JR Auto Tires today because she needed a replacement tire. She was told they had the tire she needed and was given a location where we were supposed to meet.
The location was about 17 minutes away from where the car was, so we removed the damaged tire ourselves and drove it over. When we arrived, we discovered the address we had been given was actually a Circle K, not a tire shop.
My daughter messaged him again, and only then were we told that the business was mobile and that he would meet us there in about five minutes. Had we been told from the beginning that this was a mobile service, he could have simply met us where the disabled car was instead of having us remove the tire and drive across town.
We waited approximately another 15 minutes and contacted him again. At that point, he told us he was still looking for the tire and couldn't find it--even though about an hour earlier we had specifically been told that he had the tire we needed.
We finally said forget it and left to find another tire business. What made the entire experience even more confusing was that while driving away, we actually saw JR Auto Tires. I still don't understand why we weren't simply given the business address in the first place.
We were dealing with a flat tire and already had enough inconvenience without being sent to a gas station, left waiting, and ultimately told the tire we were promised couldn't even be located.
Very frustrating experience and extremely poor communication. read more
