I'm betting there was over 2,000mg of salt in that one quart container. The name of the soup is "Clam Chowder" but where are the clams? All we got were tiny specs of what may have been clam pieces but not big enough to taste. If the soup was made with cream, I would be surprised. My guess is the base was a rue made from flour, water and some sort of oil. Could have been butter but could not find any ingredients listing. Hate being so negative about the soup but salt is supposed to enhance flavors - not be the main ingredient. If this is an award winning soup - someone better taste it again at the Liverpool location.
