JRN Nursery is huge and sprawling with a lot of variety of outdoor plants, plus the more common houseplant tropicals (similar in variety to big box stores) in both 4 inch and massive pots at reasonable prices. It does help to know what you're looking for because not everything is labeled. I highly recommend JRN for their outdoor plant selection. For Hoyas, I'd say I actually prefer their second location JRN2 for more massive mama plants of the more common Hoyas. This location tended to have mostly 4 inch pots. I would not recommend JRN or JRN2 if you're looking for rarer Hoyas. The parking lot is small and fills up even on weekday afternoons, so come early!

Absolutely loved my first plant haul!!!

SO many different varieties and colors. Beautiful fruit trees and bonsai trees. Great prices, and wonderful employees.

Yes they do have a huge selection of plants but I was so surprised and impressed with the golden pothos that I almost forgot everything else. They have a HUGE selection of pothos. I will also need to come back in spring for other items such as Angel Trumpets, Jasmines and bazillion varieties of citrus plants. Definitely nicer customer service than the JRN2

Super nice owners and workers. The nursery is bigger than it seems and they have everything from flowers, herbs, to exotic fruit trees. They are very knowledgeable and very helpful in answering all our questions. Would definitely recommend visiting and supporting this local nursery.

Although they have a good variety of flowers the roses we bought did not bloom much. Also, they were a bit expensive and the lady at the cash register tried to overcharge me. I had to be forceful and point out her mistakes. Did not leave a good impression

I love this place! Walking through it's beauty instantly lifts my mood! It's right off 249 near Acres Homes. It is worth the travel no matter which side of town you're coming from. The owner is very accommodating and knowledgeable. She does her hardest to hand pick custom requests. I always leave here with something unique that no one else in the area carries and I enjoy it for years to come. Thank you Haivan, your business is absolutely beautiful!

The best nursery you will find in Houston! A huge selection and everyone that works there is friendly. I have gotten house plants, mangos, and plumerias here and they all do great! The mango trees went quick this year so will be back for more next year!

Best place if you are looking for a bonsai. The plants are reasonably priced and the owner is super nice. Definitely worth the drive!

Great selection and their prices beat their competitors. I went there for Butterfly plants early in…read morethe season and they were one of only 2 nurseries that carried them. They had them at a lower price and a better selection.

Good selection of trees. Staff on site is helpful. Staff for tree installation is hardworking…read more The downfall is the "warranty" on the trees. There really isn't one. I had issues with trees in which the PLASTIC "chains" broke as well as the wooden stakes that just split in half. I asked Cathleen (co-owner) if they could come out and re-stake the trees because of the broken stakes/chains. It had only been a few months since they were planted. I also sent her pictures of the broken stakes/chains and showed that the trees were now growing crooked since nothing was holding them in place. She was going to charge me $210 to replace THEIR broken chains/stakes on 2 trees. She claimed that the warranty didn't cover damage due to a storm. I asked what storm she was referring to and she replied, "It doesn't have to be a named storm, could be just bad weather, like heavy winds or rains." What? I told Cathleen I was disappointed, especially since it was well within the warranty period and the fact that I spent a LOT of money there. I had also referred other people there (which I won't do again). Her only response was, "If you'd like me to send you a copy of the warranty, I would be glad to do that. The warranty states that we don't cover weather situations." So keep this in mind if you think you're actually getting a warranty there!
