Such a good breakfast this morning. I had the sausage and gravy (half order) and a side of hash browns. The biscuits were very light and the gravy was delicious. The hash browns were cooked perfectly, I love them extra crispy! My wife had an egg white omelet which was huge and very tasty and our server was great. My family just enjoyed a late breakfast here. My husband had the breakfast burrito, my son the 2 eggs and meat and for me the pancakes. Sam our waitress was super friendly and welcoming and upon learning it was our first visit made recommendations and gave us good time to study the menu. The place was busy (Saturday at 11) but Sam was super efficient. As a coffee drinker I loved that I got my own pot, even with only 1 coffee drinker in our group. Pancakes are huge and filling and super yummy- I tasted lots of vanilla. Burrito was wrapped perfectly and stuffed with flavor( yes my husband let me sample a bite). My son's meal was perfect- sunny side up eggs and crisp bacon. We were all so full but upon leaving were tempted by the cookies and bars and pies- next time! The absolute best breakfast in the area!!! As a Hawkeye fan it hurt to even walk in (panther nation all around) but it was definitely worth it. Prices are reasonable, service was friendly and quick, and the food was phenomenal! I will most assuredly be returning again soon read more

My French dip came with the most discussing excuse for Au Jus I've ever seen. I took a first bite and that was my last bite. I suggested to the waitress the cook try the Au Jus and made it clear it was uneatable. She brought me the full check. A group of us from work decided to have lunch here one day at the recommendation of one of our friends. I was skeptical, as I haven't had many appealing experiences at little homestyle restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was pretty decent, and while it didn't stand out as spectacular, it was hearty and filling with good sized portions. The service was very good, and topped off with the lady who runs the place asking if we'd been there before and taking a few minutes to introduce herself and welcome us, hand shakes and all. Stopped in for breakfast yesterday with a party of 4, and was really disappointed! We waited in the front for someone to acknowledge is for about 4-5 minutes. That doesn't sound like a long time, but when there are several people walking by without as much as a "Hello!"... Feels rude! Two of us ordered coffee and the server never offered to refill during our meal; I had to walk up to the counter to ask for some, and waited and waited. I eventually sat back down without any coffee. We flagged another server over to ask for coffee since ours was MIA, and I asked her if they had decaf. Her response- "Well, I could go get it..." Wow! I KNOW you CAN, so sorry to bother you at work! Nobody ever smiled at us. I didn't feel welcome. Food was just ok, nothing so amazing that would bring me back to endure the flighty and rude staff. read more

This was always our Sunday breakfast spot when I was living in CF and going to school! The food is delicious and the portions are huge. I have never once been disappointed. Went for breakfast on Sunday morning at almost 11am and it was very busy. Food was good and hot and homemade bread and baked goods were great! However, service was very slow. We sat down and ordered I ordered chicken fried steak and eggs and my friend order biscuits and gravy. 10 minutes later we were told that there was no gravy for either of us. Mildly disappointed I ordered bacon double cheese with fries and my friend ordered meat and eggs. Burger was not good fries lackluster and the table highlight was the bacon. While traveling we enjoyed the homey style and good food. We built our own hamburgers by choosing our own toppings. They were fresh and well prepared.
