You are right at the marina, there is a restaurant here which we did not have the ability to try and there's also a shop. They also have a ton of both facilities, etc. which people seem to be enjoying. We really didn't check out most of the ground since we were leaving the camper early in the morning and we're gone until into the evening The 50 amp power worked just fine, however, the 30 amp our surge protector said it had a fault so make sure you're checking that out before you plug-in Water and sewer were just fine There are certain spots that have cement pads, ours did not, it was just gravel and it does tend to get rainy here so make sure you bring a Mat and such so you don't track mud and gravel into your RV It looks like many people camp here for the season as there were a lot of folks who had structures attached to their units or had put up three seasons rooms. It also appears the same people return each year because everyone knew each other, so that was kind of fun to see. The drawbacks of this place include the train, which runs 24 seven and is very loud if you are in one of the first couple rows. If you're going to stay here, I would highly recommend you try to get something towards the back, closer to the water. We ended up running our very loud AC fan all night and that did help drown out some of the noise, but the vibration you can't fix You have easy access to Dubuque as well as Galena Illinois is just 15 minutes or so. We were able to get to both locations easily. $60 ish night

But then I saw the perfect replacement on ebay, a 2002 F150 with 36K miles, listed by Victory Ford. So I thought I'd at least make a telephone call and see what's up. I live 150 miles away in Wisconsin. I spoke with Steve Lagrant, the first truely honest and straight forward car saleman I've negotiated with. He was very open about the condition of the truck and didn't make any promises he couldn't honor. He brought to my attention some minor hail damage, most dealers would have left it up to the buyer to notice it. We were able to negotiate a price that was fair to each of us over the phone, that's the first time I've done that! So I took a deep breath and made a deposit over the phone without actually seeing the vehicle in person. I made it clear to Steve that I am placing my trust in him and I expect him to honor it. The vehicle has actually EXCEEDED my expectations. Victory Ford did a lot of routine maintenance to get the truck in "near new" condition before putting it on the lot: brake job, tune up, oil change, wiper blades, tire rotation and balance, the list goes on... Most shifty dealers simply detail the vehicle, spritz some new car smell, then put it on the lot. They don't even change the oil. But Victory really did put a lot of work into it, not to mention an honest inspection, before selling it. I basically drove out of there with the equivalent of a new truck for a fraction of the price, and from a dealer no less!! Ask for Steve Lagrant!

I specifically communicated with these individuals regarding a critical title and registration error involving a 2026 Toyota vehicle purchase. Despite clear instructions, the dealership processed documents under the wrong purchaser using an electronic signature workflow without proper disclosure. This error has not been corrected despite repeated notices and escalation to ownership. Current impact (not hypothetical -- already happened) I was issued a citation for driving an unregistered vehicle The Illinois Motor Vehicles Department refused registration due to incorrect title/assignment I am now facing court exposure, penalties, and inability to legally operate the vehicle This harm is directly caused by dealership documentation failure and delay in correction. What makes this serious This is no longer a customer service issue -- it is a compliance and liability issue: Incorrect MSO/title assignment Failure to correct after formal notice Failure to act after foreseeable legal consequences Continued inaction even after damages occurred The dealership has been provided with a standard Illinois correction mechanism (Affirmation of Correction / POA) and has all authority required to fix the issue immediately, yet has not done so. Expectation I am still requesting only one thing: Immediate corrected title or signed Illinois correction document. Warning to buyers Be extremely careful: Verify purchaser name before signing anything Do not rely on electronic signing without review Ensure ownership and title documentation is correct before leaving This situation has escalated unnecessarily due to lack of timely corrective action from dealership ownership.
