But I was genuinely surprised by how great the entire experience turned out to be. From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. The servers were kind, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. The owner even came by our table to talk with us about the restaurant, their values, and the care they put into making everything from scratch. That personal touch, along with a complimentary dessert, really made the experience memorable. The food was outstanding. The chicharrones were perfectly crunchy and seasoned with just the right amount of salt. The salsa tasted incredibly fresh and paired well with everything on the table. The carne asada was cooked beautifully, developing a flavorful crust from the Maillard reaction, which gave it that rich, savory, slightly crisp exterior while keeping the inside tender and juicy. Overall, this was one of those restaurants that completely exceeded my expectations. Between the warm hospitality, attention to detail, and excellent food, it's a place I'll definitely be coming back to. If you're looking for authentic Mexican brunch with great people behind it, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. Also nice clean bathroom

We looked at the website and noticed that they had some gluten-free alternatives for my hubby so that was a plus in our book. First thing we saw when we walked in was all the goodies that they have for their bloody Mary bar. They had over 30 different items that you could add to your Bloody Mary for as little as $14. This included meatballs, and bacon. Everyone that we spoke to was kind and very friendly. Son decided on the peanut butter and jelly French toast, hubby decided on the lemon ricotta and blueberry compote gluten-free pancakes, and since I knew I would be sharing the bougie biscuits. I just ordered two fried eggs. One of the things that was so great about this place -for especially gluten-free eaters - is that they were willing to adjust or accommodate almost anything on the menu in order to make it adaptable. The host, the gentleman behind the bloody Mary bar and our server were very well educated. The restaurant was super cute and had a vibe with black-and-white sayings all over the wall. The food was delicious although my husband said the pancakes were a little dense, but that's to be expected for gluten-free pancakes. Phoenix area ( Peoria) had some really good restaurants to choose from!

I had to order the Adult Mac & Cheese, and let me tell you--it never disappoints. This dish is the definition of comfort food. The creamy cheese sauce, earthy mushrooms, and rich truffle flavor are always perfectly balanced. It's one of those meals I can count on being consistently delicious every single time. My husband ordered one of their burgers and upgraded his fries to the Garlic Parmesan Fries. If you're a garlic lover, I highly recommend making that upgrade. The garlic flavor is bold and intense in the best way possible. It's great to know this location delivers the same quality and consistency as every other Yard House I've visited. Even though the restaurant was extremely busy, the staff worked hard to keep up with everyone and still provided friendly, attentive service. If you're looking for consistently great food with a menu that has something for everyone, this Yard House is definitely worth a visit!

I already reviewed my local location in Hanover, MD. Didn't have much to add to Gaithersburg, MD or Springfield, VA location except that I had my 32nd birthday party in Springfield, the first location in the DC area. Prior to moving to the DC area in 2011, I lived in Phoenix. I had been to all 3 Valley locations Glendale (Westgate), Phoenix (Desert Ridge), & Scottsdale (Fashion Square Mall) [Scottsdale one no longer exists]. My 1st visit to a Yard House ever was this Glendale location in 2008. My friend invited me to this location citing their great happy hour. I remember I liked the sliders on the happy hour pricing, which was cheap back then. A wide variety of beer options and huge glasses the length of a half yard. A full yard would be difficult to drink and way too much beer to drink in one sitting; plus the beer would get warm & flat by the time you'd finish a whole yard of beer. Staff was nice at the Glendale location. Now, 18 years later happy hour is still good albeit different and yes more expensive but still good deal relative to normal price.

Why not stop into Ojos Locos? I'm sure that'll put a smile on my face." Wrong. If anything, it added insult to injury. I sat at the bar and immediately noticed I was one of maybe four patrons in the entire place. There were multiple girls working, including one sitting at a table taking selfies on her phone. I was greeted by the bartender, who seemed nice enough. She recommended the chips and queso, which admittedly were decent, and I ordered a Dos Equis. For my entrée, also at her recommendation, I went with the Mexicali tacos. Whew. The service went from acceptable to nonexistent in a quickness. Once my order was placed, my bartender would rarely speak to me again. She did, however, find plenty of time to make TikToks with a patron sitting two chairs down from me. The second bartender spent much of her time talking to him as well. Meanwhile, I sat there with an empty beer and no food for well over 20 minutes. I received multiple check-ins and multiple assurances that my food would be "right out." It was, in fact, not right out. Eventually, I grew tired of waiting and asked for the tacos to simply be boxed to go. By the end of my roughly one-hour visit, I had consumed one beer, eaten some chips and queso, watched approximately three or four TikToks get filmed, and received four separate assurances that my food was almost ready. Eventually, my "extra-special tacos made with extra-special love"--the bartender's words to make up for the wait--finally arrived. I opened the box to discover that the shrimp wasn't even left whole. It had been chopped up and scattered throughout three tacos. So it took roughly an hour to produce three tacos containing what amounted to maybe nine chopped-up shrimp? Yeah, nah. I understand the concept of Ojos Locos. The attractive staff and atmosphere are obviously part of what they're selling, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. But the looks don't make up for nonexistent service and the inability to produce three shrimp tacos in a reasonable amount of time. I came in hoping Ojos Locos could salvage the evening after watching the D-backs get their asses kicked. Somehow, I left feeling like I had taken two losses that night.
