He was very helpful in making suggestions and he brought more samples when he came to measure. We went with one of his color recommendations and helped us pick the right wood/carpet setup for the stairs. Quite the fastidious person - he explained to us the difference in the direction of the carpet grain and the potential that 12' and 15' rolls of the same carpet might have very slight variances. And I enjoyed watching his method for moving furniture - he's got to be pretty good at Tetris (although he said Dr. Mario was his specialty on NES) Paul's quote was less than other local sources with the same carpet and upgraded padding. Installation was on-time, clean, and looks perfect. No damage to furniture or walls. He's really a hard-working guy and we'll be back when it's time to do the second floor. Hometown Flooring Designs was one of three businesses that I decided to get quotes. Gary came out to give me the estimate and measured everything with an actual measuring tape. I originally spoke to his wife, Jennifer, who was so personable and friendly. She usually is at the store and I have to say the store is clean, organized, and was decorated for the holidays and it always smells amazing! Jennifer has quite the bubbly personality and is extremely helpful. In the afternoon I chose Hometown Flooring for several reasons one because Jennifer was patient and asked me so many questions and also let me take samples home to get a good idea of what I needed to have done. Especially after I had painting done. I believe in supporting small business, and I really liked the personalized attention that I received from both Jennifer and Gary. After receiving other estimates, I truly believe that I was getting a better value and a better quality of carpet than the other carpet companies that provided estimates. When I decided to move forward with Hometown Flooring, Jennifer was great and keeping me in the loop on when the carpeting would be delivered and when delivery dates would be of a call. Also, Gary called me before my installation just to answer any questions. Gary arrived promptly at 7 am the day of the carpet installation. He had two other men with him that were helping with the install. First of all, I like the carpet and the design of the carpet. I felt that I was making great decisions with the personal attention and patience with my many questions! On top of that the installation was unbelievable! Potential clients need to be aware of working with this company We had a horrible experience with Exquisite. 1. Poor communication - they didnt respect our time. told us multiple times they would be at our house in one hour and then would call 3 hours later saying they couldn't make the appointment. then we would have to follow-up to reschedule. 2. Subs - several of their subs were unprofessional and disparaged the owners while on the job site. 3. Quality - miscut stone and then tried to convince us that it was ok and told us about other imperfections in our house....or to "Cover up the mistake with a plant" lol. When we asked for the stone to be replaced at their cost, they said it was too late and that they would provide a discount instead. They do not value quality or service. 4. While we were negotiating a final price (based on contractor error) they filed a lien on our property.... before the work was even complete. Horrible ethics. After payment in full, still didnt complete the work. and we do not want them to come back in our home after this experience. Hired them to demo my bathroom. It involved a tub and vanity removal with complete tile removal;…read more$2350. Guys showed up with only a hammer and craw bar. Six hour into the removal I asked; What are you guys doing and how long is this going to take? (note it would take them 4 days at this rate) I called the company about it and received no answer, called the Forman got no answer and I could not communicate with the workers because of a language issue. With that said I gave them my power tool to do the job they removed the tile in 6 hours yet left the cement board attached. Asked the company about the cement board and if they can tile over. They said NO. Then I asked for quotes on the tile. Flash forward 12 Days, got the quote and it was extremely high so I decided to not do it. AT that point I asked them since the demo included cement board and I rented the guys my tools so What is the new price? Considering that the company breached the contract I offered them a fair price to compensate the work completed, he replied with NO you pay me $2350 or I will sue you. Going as far to tell me it cost them 1000$ of garbage. During the whole process the quote was shady (done over text) , work was shady and incomplete and most important communication was AWFUL!!!!! I would completely avoid them unless you prepare yourself to get taken advantage, have awful communication and have mid to lower level work done.

They even helped me solve an issue I had with a downspout pooling water in an area that caused an icy spot in the winter. The communication was great through the process and I highly recommend their professional work! They are reasonably priced and the best in the business !
