I had been searching for a company to come to my home and inspect my heating unit and estimate the cost for repairing an ongoing issue with the pilot light. I found the best reviews online were for JSP Plumbing and Heating company, and so after not hearing back from several other companies I contacted them. I did NOT have to leave a message, as I had with the other companies. I spoke initially with Carly regarding the service inspection request. She was more than helpful, and right from the start I knew I had connected with the right company for the job. I had a feeling that the heating unit was on its last legs already and upon inspection might need to think about purchasing a new unit. Carly not only set up the initial inspection appointment, but provided me with all the information I would need to move forward in case I would need to purchase a new unit. The day before the inspection Carly called to verify the appointment, as well as I received text and email messages regarding the same. The prep and follow up by JSP is top notch! On the day of the inspection I first received a text message with information and expected arrival of John Nix, the technician assigned to the job. He arrived on time just as scheduled. I could tell from the job van and his appearance that these guys were totally professional. Before even walking into my home he put on "booties" over his boots to protect the floors...Wow! It didn't take long for him to understand the issue and gave me an interim estimate for repair of the heating unit issue. As I had suspected, the unit was on its last legs. Although he discussed the possible repair of the unit, he also discussed the option of replacing the heater. And not just in a way to up-sell me on a new unit, but with consideration of my original request just for repair. The repair would be somewhat costly, and would not guarantee continued uninterrupted performance of the current heater for any extended length of time, so at that time I decided to contemplate the purchase of a new high efficiency heater. Following this initial visit Carly contacted me again to go over the cost of a new heater, as well as finance options available for the purchase of the new unit. I applied for the financing on the spot and was approved for the long term financing. The new unit was ordered and the installation appointment was scheduled. Again I received messages to remind me of the appointment, as well as the expected arrival of John, Brandon, and Trevor who were to perform the installation. I was unable to be present at that appointment, but had made arrangements for them to enter the home. John called me directly at the end of the day to confirm the installation, give me some initial instructions, as well as inform me of a very minor scratch to the wall near the unit install that had occurred during the install. So there were NO surprises when I returned to the home a few days later. Later Carly called again to verify the completion of the install, as well as to set up a follow up visit by the Installation Manager...what?? For JSP, the job isn't done upon installation. They send out an additional manager to inspect the install and make any final tweaks to the system to make sure it is functioning perfectly! Wow!! I was able to be available for the final walk through with Travis, who was the Installation Manager. Again, just like with the other appointments I received the expected text message before Travis arrived. Travis, like the other technicians was extremely professional, as well as knowledgable. Because of an old pressure regulator on my propane tank, the unit was nor fully cycling correctly. He diagnosed that issue and immediately made adjustments to my tank pressure regulator to solve the problem for free;...something that most other companies would have made additional charges for! JSP deserves to have ALL the great service they provide to be spoken to. I will not hesitate to call on them again for ANY plumbing or heating needs I have. read more

My parents own a lake property in Ulster Park. They had started to remodel the cottage but passed away during the renovation. There was much plumbing that still had to be completed. Since my primary residence was downstate I did not know any local plumbers. I went to home improvement stores, bars, looked in the phone book etc trying to get recommendations. I must have called at least 10 plumbers and no one returned my call. I had met a plumber at a beverage store in Port Ewen a couple of years ago, but had lost his card. Finally my next door neighbor got his plumber to come and give me an estimate. That was last June. I accepted his estimate and he said he would start in the end of August. August came, but my plumber did not. He finally returned my calls and said it was "an exceptionally hot summer" and he would start and complete the job by the end of September. Unfortunately, I didn't ask him "September of which year?" I never heard from him again. I decided to spend some time on the computer and do some research. I read many reviews and decided to call JSP Plumbing. They took my call and set up an appointment that was convenient for me. They were right on time and sent me an informative email about my technician. A well dressed, well mannered young man arrived: Paul C. He looked like he was 15 years old. He informed me that he had been working for JSP for 5 years. (He must have been 12 when he started) Aside from being very polite, he was extremely knowledgeable. He assessed the job and sent me an estimate, which I accepted. He arrived to do the work on time. The job took 2 days to complete. His work was spot on. I have seen plumbers three times his age who do not have is ability. Everything he did was checked and re-checked. I highly recommend this company. They only give 5 stars. I would give them 10! P.S. To say I'm satisfied is an understatement. This company is the epitome of customer service, start to finish. First, I was very impressed that I received a call back the next day after submitting a contact form online (most companies are not that quick). Carly, the dispatcher/scheduler was prompt, and courteous, explaining all of my questions and getting me on the schedule the next day. I received both a text and an email when the technician was on his way (this was a great touch). When Jon Nix (the plumbing technician) arrived, I was immediately impressed with him and the customer service. Jon was able to quickly diagnose the issue (it was a leaky pipe that had some unique complications) and provide different repair options and pricing. Jon quickly set to work and was a complete professional throughout the repair. He did a fantastic job, and the end result was both functional and aesthetically pleasing (compared to the cluster of piping that was pre-existing). He explained what he had done, cleaned up the workspace, and even emptied the bucket that was catching the drips. It was little touches like this that made me feel valued and that he was caring for the space. Jon was amazing, and when I have work done by JSP in the future, I hope to get Jon again!! JSP exudes professionalism at every turn. They show up in clearly marked vans complete with everything you could possibly need (and, may I note, a van that was remarkably clean and organized that I saw as Jon unloaded), introduce themselves, log everything on a computer (digital signatures, work order, parts, estimate, etc.), uniforms that are clean, and very friendly, outgoing, and customer-centric. Rarely do you see a contracting business of any kind that seems to "get" how to build and maintain a business in 'today' tech/social media friendly world. Usually, you call someone, you're lucky if you can find a number and a review or two online... they come when THEY can, they may be late, or no-shows, if they even call you back, rude, messy, you name it... I mean Im not generalizing ALL contractors, but let's face it they dont typically operate as if they run a 'business.' You're chasing after them, not the other way around - and why? Half the time they're just getting the job done. The owner of JSP himself came out to quote us on a new furnace. He was punctual, professional, educated, friendly and well put together. The woman who does the scheduling is helpful and courteous. We got detailed user friendly texts confirming our appointment, letting us know that he was on his way and follow ups after he left. His prices matched a quote we got from someone else... but we were sold on the service. Travis did the follow up walk through to prep for the furnace install and he too was all of the above. The owner and Travis both were adamant that they hire only the best 'guys,' all background checked. We were not there when they did the install, but all was left clean and as we left it. So far it's been a crap shoot with plumbers in Ulster County for us... we are perpetually overcharged and disappointed.... but I'm glad to have found JSP. We will be using them from now on. From the first call for an estimate to completion of the install, JSP exceeded my expectations. Knowledgeable, responsive, considerate and competitive-they were an amazing team to work with. Ellen, in the front office, was a pleasure to work with and she made me feel like a valued customer - she was prompt returning calls and even provided me with her cell number to call with questions. John, the owner was kind, attentive and took an interest in hearing what my needs were along with my budget. He worked with me - going above and beyond anything I've ever encountered before. Travis was respectful and took the time to explain how things would work, asking me my preference and making sure I understood everything. Trevor and Brandon were amazing when they did the install. They insisted on wearing show covers despite my saying they didn't have to. They were clean and removed every trace of their presence. Trevor has a smile on his face every time I interacted with him - despite my 3 kids running around. I felt comfortable with leaving my home while they were here and didn't worry once. I loved the text message notifying me of their ETA accompanied by a photo and bio of who would be coming out -making them "people" rather than just employees. My entire experience was top notch and I cannot say enough wonderful things about JSP. JSP Plumbing is the absolute BEST heating and air conditioning company anywhere, hands down. We have had a leak in one of our central units for "a while" now, and the company that we HAD been dealing with kept putting us off, putting a bandaid repair on it, all the while, making US wait to get service calls, and getting a technician to actually show up on the day we were promised was a nightmare. Cue my husband calling JSP. We were given an appointment time of 4:30 for Paul to show up, and show up he did. Same day, he fixed our problem, while servicing both our units. We discussed with him about the leak, and he referred us to Steve within JSP, who came out, assessed our needs, and prepared an estimate. Within a couple of weeks, we were able to work out our financial needs, but never once did JSP leave us hanging. After getting the go ahead from us, JSP sent out two technicians, John and Jason, who were the absolute best. Over the course of two days, they replaced the outdoor unit, the lines from within the house, and cleaned and troubleshot the other unit. In the future, whenever we have a plumbing/heating/air conditioning problem, there's not a doubt in my mind who we will be called. JSP Plumbing and Heaing, it doesn't get any better. We had what I consider a difficult job converting a freezing cold sunpoarch in the winter months into a heated room, so we could use it in the winter, The two men who did the work Trevor and Damon, had to enter into a small crawl space, run pipes through cinder blocks and thick wooden beams. Both did a masterful job, They were polite, very well manared and really knew their job. They showed up on time and finished a complicated job within a 2 day period. Today, near a week after our sunpoarch is heated, we are enjoying it and making much use of it. JSPs estimate to do the job I found to be very reasonable, It was worth every penny. I recommend highly JSP, They are highly professional, and even somewhat personal, in that they give you a small profile of each worker on your cell phone and/or e.mail before the workers arrive to work, so you know something about them personally. John from JSP, from the moment he enters your home to give you an estimate, you have the feeling you are in good hands, and you are. WOW! I wish I could give these guys 10 stars. I could not be more impressed. We closed on our first house on 12/23/16 and 2 weeks later had a furnace emergency. I have been in the hospitality and guest services industries my whole life and I have to say, it does NOT get better than this company. My first interactions were with Milly and Carly over the phone. They were sympathetic, understanding, and very focused on making sure to get us the help and service we needed. The next day, Paul showed up and immediately put our minds at ease. He walked me through everything, explaining what needed to be done and offering several options for service based on our needs. He was kind, knowledgable, and thorough. With his colleague Trevor, they quickly replaced our furnace and we managed to escape the freeze - whew! Paul also pointed out a few other deficiencies in our kitchen plumbing, but never once pressured me into getting them serviced. We just moved up to Red Hook and our home needed to have a toilet replaced. We did a lot of research for a quality plumbing company via the Google machine and found JSP Plumbing & Heating. The rating and reviews alone convinced us to call them. From the first call to completion of the job, I must say that the experience was awesome. The customer service was prompt, professional and friendly. They understood our needs and scheduled an appointment that was at our convenience. The technicians, Josh & Joel, arrived exactly on time on the scheduled date and they were great. They did the job efficiently and gave us a detailed explanation of the services. After the installation, Josh inspected our entire plumbing system and pointed out where we had room for some improvements, which we are seriously considering having done. JSP Plumbing and Heating is absolutely the best. We had a major, emergency plumbing issue. At first we called another plumbing company to take a look. Something just didn't feel right when dealing with them so then we called JSP and the difference was huge. Everyone we worked with at JSP was amazing and you can tell it's a well run company with happy employees and that makes all the difference. With our plumbing issue, we couldn't use any toilets or run any water and of course this happened over the weekend. JSP came out, diagnosed the problem and then rearranged their schedule to get us up and running again as quickly as possible. In order to fix things our yard had to be torn up and the excavator JSP works with (Dietz) was also the best. When everything was done you couldn't tell they were even here. JSP Plumbing folks are AMAZING :) we had a major plumbing mess -pipe clogged and GrossNastYyuk (technical term) was coming out of the bathroom to the kitchen Noon-ish Friday- I called """another company""" the guy said i can fit you in after this house, before the next apppointment today...(Friday, no-call--No-show) Sat i message-saying we cant flush, bathe, run water in any way, no reply, Sunday i message again, he says Monday...no-show--no-call... MONDAY night i finally see the light and call JSP.... Carly says i can have Travis to you tonight--Less than an hour-- (It turned out the Ice storm stopped that)) BUT 9-AM the Next morning- he was here & it was all fixed! Clean- Friendly- The Technician-Travis, told me every step, process, answered every question, it was great :)) NEEDLESS TO SAY I AM VERY PLEASED WITH JSP..... Hands down the best plumbing service, actually the best technical service of any kind that I've had done at my house. We had to replace an old boiler in the middle of winter and everyone from Carly on the phones to Travis and Jason in the field were amazing. Travis and Jason took extreme pride in their work, they made sure we were satisfied throughout the process, took time to explain everything very clearly, made sure we were comfortable with the plan of action, did not pressure us at all, and after doing an awesome job they left the work space cleaner than they found it. JSP installed a complete heat pump system, including hospital-grade clean air. We could not be happier with our choice of JSP to design and install the system. Our previous systems were just not designed right and never worked properly. Such a difference now! We both have asthma. l: Quality They came out and charged me $1,683.72 for 2 hours of work and told me that my Air conditioning leak would be fixed for that price .They also told me that there was oil found on the suction line leaving the indoor coil right near the braze joint. They never did any dye test for any leaks, they only did a pressure test for 15 mins .Well in 1 day later the line was still leaking and I called them and they tell me there work is no GUARANTEED. That they would have to charge me again to come out and pay more money. They called me told me to replace the unit now. They should have cam back and fixed it . So now I will be moving forward with Better business Bureau . And the Attorney General Office . I would never use a company like this that would rip people off. read more

We recently had close to 90 degree weather and was quite unexpected by us. We turned our central air conditioning on and NOTHING - not even a hum. We did not know who to call that would possibly come on such short notice. We decided to call JSP Plumbing. They returned our call first thing the very next day (we had left a message late the nite before). They arranged to send a Tech to us within a few hours. Treavor arrived on time! I would highly recommend JSP and am so grateful we had Service Tech Jeremy arrive for the job. He was prompt, professional, highly trained and knowledgeable but more importantly, went above and beyond in his duties to check every detail of our older furnace. Without a doubt, he saved us money and perhaps a crisis down the road. We had called for seasonal cleaning of the furnace and after meticulous attention to that part of the service call, he sensed something wrong with the exhaust vent and flue pipe that could have caused a catastrophe if left as it was. Our technician, Michael Liotta arrived right on time (just like our other experiences with JSP) very friendly and helpful. This is the third time I have written a positive review for JSP Plumbing. All the interactions my husband and I have had with this group has been excellent. We have an old 1840's farm house which we usually close down for the winter but this year we wanted to see if JSP Plumbing could resurrect our dinosaur of a heating system.
