[[HIGHLIGHT]]Classic diner vibes, homey hosts.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Anthony Bourdain was here! Ordered the breakfast burrito classic (no added meat) with country potatoes and avocado in side + salsa. It was a pretty decent breakfast burrito. Tastes a little sweet, good amount of eggs and the potatoes arent burnt which i always worry about. I like the onion taste as well. The avocado and salsa on side is good add on to add flavor. Overall a classic/solid breakfast and lunch stop in Yucca Valley.

We came to Joshua Tree for the Saturday market--they have excellent vegetables and other items. After walking around for a bit, we decided to give JT Country Kitchen a try. There was a small line when we arrived, so I put our name in, and the wait was about 25 minutes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We ended up sitting outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A server came over to take our drink order, but we weren't quite ready to order food yet. When he came back, we still had a few questions about the menu. Another staff member stopped by, answered everything for us, and took our order. The service was great--everyone seemed to work together rather than sticking to specific tables. For food, my wife had the special, a corned beef sandwich. My mom ordered a hamburger with chips, and I went with eggs, bacon, potatoes, and biscuits and gravy. Everything was very good, and you could tell it was made fresh. They also make their juices in-house, which was a nice touch. Overall, a really good experience with great food and friendly, team-oriented service.

Perfect place to grab a classic breakfast in Joshua tree! Excellent service, and surprisingly good breakfast burrito an hashbrowns! Expect a wait, but Joshua tree coffee is right next door, so you can grab a drink and walk around while waiting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have parking out back and a great outdoor seating area with a full bar[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The reason why this place nearly lost 5 stars is because the waitress did not mention anything about there being an up charge for having sausage in the gravy of the chicken fried steak. It was brought up as an option m, but forgot to tell me about the price. Other than that, the food was great. The orange juice was fresh. The pancake my wife ordered was massive and thank God she just ordered 1 because 2 pancakes would've been too much. I would come back here but now I'll know to ask the right questions.

Came across this place without previously looking it up and it was very good diner food. Everything tastes fresh and the staff were really nice and helpful. You can tell everyone works together like a great team and they made sure to check in at the table frequent enough. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ofc it's going to be hot if you are sitting outside because you are in the desert but the food and ice water was great combo for being in this area[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Extra sides of their (not hot enough) hot salsa are a must.

This place never disappoints. We had another excellent breakfast here yesterday and we plan to return again this morning. The service is outstanding and [[HIGHLIGHT]]it's such a cute spot to dine inside or outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't go wrong there.

As many places in Joshua Tree, this place took an hour to wait for but I absolutely enjoyed the food. The tomato soup was bomb, hamburger was juicy, and the potatoes were amaaazayn. The waiter we had was so kind and even gave us some of his suggestions which, he was absolutely right about. We sat outside and it was pretty cute but also pretty cold. They have heaters but it wasn't heating up much :')

Solid desert diner vibes with good biscuits and gravy and quick friendly service. There's a popular outdoor seating area and good stick-to-your-ribs breakfast options. My partner loves Bourdain and was delighted to see his photo on the wall with the owner, showing he'd been here. Partner got the cinnamon roll French toast and really liked it, but wasn't a fan of the cinnamony syrup running into his eggs. One of the better breakfasts we had in the area and it opens up earlier than most places if you want to get an early start at the park.

Brunch in Joshua tree perfectly lands here at Country Kitchen, at the intersection of hearty breakfast foods and cowboy comforts. It was easy to find street parking in the area, put our names on the waitlist, and walk around the area. For a group of 4, we waited just under an hour. Well worth the wait! The menu diversifies the usual palette of meat, eggs, and biscuits, but all flavors are good. The staff is friendly and tries to be attentive despite how busy and packed the crowd is. We had an issue with a long hair on a plate and they swiftly corrected the issue with a new plate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environment is comfortably shaded and you don't feel the outside heat too badly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Well, on a generic Tuesday after a 35 min wait we were seated and then waited another hour for our food! As someone else mentioned, no one checked on us. Pancakes had horrible texture and were overcooked on the bottom Generic breakfast burrito Bbq Pulled pork on gluten free bread was delicious! Notably they had gluten free hash browns and potato salad , once I asked the waiter but not specified on the menu Child ate the burger without complaint Will not be returning Open daily 7-3. We saw people try to be seated at 2:46 and they were refused.

Their breakfast is soo good and as you can tell by the photos the pancakes are huge! I really really loved my pesto sandwich. This seemed to be a seasonal item at the time so not sure if they still have it. If they do I 100% recommend! The sauce and textures were on point! Also, the staff are super friendly and all have super unique styles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the welcoming/family atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will always come back when visiting JT.

BE PREPARED TO WAIT Desert time for these folk, but I'm city time. They let us know it would be 35 min for first available, ended up waiting 1hr and ten minutes. Then the food took another 20. I ate the food in 20 minutes. Was it worth it? despite the inconvenience, the food was okay. I got a pancake and a breakfast burrito. Protein is a separate charge. You can't mess up a breakfast burrito. The texture was chewy and gooey. The only thing bad about ordering the burrito was that the salsa provided on the side wasn't flavorful. But it is what it is. The pancake made me less mad about waiting. It was huge, and it was on the griddle just enough so that the inside was just a bit raw. Might not sound good to most people but that how I like my pancakes. I didn't experience the great customer service this place is known for. The flies attended to me more. It's outdoors in the dessert so be prepared to fight them off your plates. Can't get my time back.

ANYWAY. We have been here a couple of times - will usually stop by here when we're in Joshua Tree. On Saturdays, there is a Farmer's Market in the parking lot, so it gets pretty crowded. This last time we went, I got an iced strawberry matcha, and my partner got the chai iced tea. Both with almond milk. They still charge a surplus for non-dairy, which feels so 2022. But anyway. The drinks were delicious. We also got an almond croissant, which doesn't look like much, but it was AMAZING. And then the quiches. Oh, the quiches. I had such high hopes for these, especially since we were primed with refreshing drinks and a tasty pastry. These quiches are muffin-sized, perfect for a light meal or a heavier snack, and they look super cute. They will heat them up for you. When we went, they had bacon cheddar and spinach feta. We got one of each. My friends, these were so disappointing. First, no flavor. We asked for ketchup or hot sauce to give it a bit of acid, because it was basically egg all the way through. Solid wall of egg that tasted like the powdered egg you get at one of those corporate conference catered breakfasts. I had one tiny sliver of bacon in mine, and my partner was playing hide and seek with the spinach, and the spinach was winning. The crust itself was rubbery and chewy, not flaky like I would expect a quiche to be. I mean, it was palatable and not super expensive. I'm just not sure if you're selling food, you want it to just be "palatable". Last time, we got a savory veggie pie, and that was pretty good, so they DO have good savory foods. I think the quiches were just a huge miss this time. Bathroom is clean and single-stalled. Parking is easy in the lot, and on Farmer's Market days, I mean, c'mon, it's Joshua Tree, it's not like there isn't space on the streets too.

We missed our reservation time but decided to try a walk in because it was the whole reason we came into town in the first place. We were greeted by two really nice hosts who assured us there was room for us sooner than later and we were seated with our dog on the patio pretty quickly. They were so nice to us and doubly nice to our dog! We ordered fried eggplant, gazpacho, ceviche, a lamb burger, and got a lamb burger patty for the dog (we're not order food for the dog people but she was going through it too with the Walmart stuff so why not). We added a couple glasses of wine and their beer shandy and finished with a strawberry shortcake. Every bite was perfect but we rated them- Gazpacho, Lamb Burger, Eggplant, Ceviche. The gazpacho was a hit with the perfect amount of fresh/sweet cantaloupe and spicy-ness. This place was well worth the trip from Big Bear. My wife noted that everyone there that helped us legit looked happy to be there. There was also a medical emergency and the staff was so kind and helpful throughout and checked in on all the tables in the area afterwards. It kind of showed that they are invested in the people that visit.

We got really lucky - reservations open a month in advance, and we were headed to Joshua Tree the next day. I thought for sure I wasn't going to get a reservation and needed to think of a Plan B for date night. But I texted anyway, with an apology for it being so last minute, and they responded the day of confirming me for the next day! Yay! When we arrived, we asked for a seat inside, since it was super windy that day, and they were able to seat us within a few minutes. We got the butter lettuce salad (delicious), the socarrat (lots of peas and pea sprouts - this was AMAZING, and great the next day cold!), their version of bruschetta on their crispy thin bread - the bread was absolutely amazing. And we also got the tomato...um, I can't remember what it's called, but it has a base of sliced tomatoes, with hard boiled eggs, celery, and tuna aioli! Super refreshing on a super hot day. We also got a couple non-alcky drinks and left very happy. It was loud inside for sure - or, bustling, if we want to be more euphemistic. Service for us was a bit on the chilly side, but that might just be the night our server was having. There are 2 single-stalled bathrooms, and parking is very easy in the huge lot they have. I think we might circle back to this place after trying other eats around the area. This was a good time.

It's located in a small plaza but parking was easy to find. First entering there r alot of food goodies sold including take away sides/meals. Looks crowded but no one ordering. There was an influx of people past 11am but the line moves so fast! I asked what was their most popular breakfast sandwich and the dyed red haired girl at the cash register said the turkey club sandwich. I dont like bacon so she suggested they remove that and sub avocado so i went with it! And also got the matcha hot with oatmilk. Partner ordered tuna melt and drip coffee. They give u a buzzer tho they ended up delivering it to our table. The cashier was really nice and entertained all my questions about the sandwiches and how they prepared their matcha. (It's not the matcha powder with the sugar already in it, whew! It tasted pretty ceremonial but not sure if it was- added one pack of sugar and sweetness was perfect for me. Just a tad grainy but overall very nice!) Sandwiches were delivered to where we were sitting after 10-15 mins or so. They are huge! And wow i dont normally order sandwiches these days bc i find the meats questionable and not pleasant to eat but this sandwich tasted so fresh. The meat and cheese.. the veggies.. the sourdough bread was cherry in top, nicely toasted with some butter or sauce. I took a half home and it was still tasted good a few hours later. I like how they add chips and the avocado on the side where i can dip the chips and put on my sandwich. My sandwich tasted so fresh with quality ingredients which im so happy about! My partner also enjoyed his tuna melt and coffee.. he said it was huge as each side of the tuna melt had a huge scoop of the tuna salad. Overall, the bustle and service/vibes of this cafe were so enjoyable and all the food so good! Recommend!
