I am honestly shocked to see the overall low rating for this restaurant because this was by far one of the best places I went this trip. When you walk in you get this old probation/ distillery vibe. The menu is huge with ANY things that sounds phenomenal. I got the grilled chicken quesadilla, my sister got the chicken broccoli fettuccine Alfredo, my mom got the prime rib sandwich, and dad got fish and chips. All of our meals were cooked to order, with fresh ingredients from that morning. You were able to taste the freshness and not frozen food. The waitress was super sweet where she was telling us her personal favorites and why there were her favorites along with what previous guests have told her. I love J T Hannah's. My favorite meal there is the chopped steak. I love the way they put the steak on top of the mashed potatoes and smother it with gravy. But whatever you eat, save room for orange soak cake for dessert. Madison is an awesome server. Even though we were a large group, she served us pleasantly and quickly. After a rude experience elsewhere, we popped in here for a steak. Hostesses are so cheerful and friendly. It was very busy but we only waited maybe 15 min. Clean table, prompt server and service was excellent. Justin was on top of things. Salads were very fresh. Steaks were done exactly as ordered. My only issue was a personal one. I do not cook with or eat a lot of salt, because I have high bp. I should have asked for "no seasoning" on my steak, as it was very salty to my taste buds since I do not regularly consume much of it. I walked in, and there was a 30 minute wait before we got seated. When we got seated, we waited about 3 minutes for our service to get drinks. We ordered our food, and waited around 20 minutes for our food and it finally arrived. There weren't that many fries to begin with, but the burger was amazing! We finished off with dessert, and picked "Chocolate Addiction." I shared it with a few people and it was pretty good. Where do I begin.. I wanted to find a place like the Local Goat. It was a home run on Yelp and it was the same feeling during our visit. We like finding places like this when we go out to eat. This place has no parking available. It's extremely limited. They have a candy store to the left of it that states anyone who isn't a customer will be towed away, then the hotel next door and Shoney's across the street. I had a place but it was at the Candy store and didn't want to take the risk. I drove around for 15 minutes and finally someone left that allowed me to park at JT's. As soon as I arrive, I learned that you are permitted to park at the hotel. We went to the bar and had some drinks while we wait. One thing that doesn't get old is showing your id, but the waitress must of thought I was old, she didn't card me but I insisted. She was extremely nice and on her game. I had a glass of wine as others had other drinks. We got up and let others sit down who were waiting for drinks. We waited 1 hour and 15 minutes before we were seated. The place was busy and packed with lots of people waiting inside and outside for a table. We sit down and our waitress comes out eventually and asked about drinks and we went around the table. She said she'd return. She returned about 15 minutes later with no drinks. I said can we have waters while we wait. That took another 10 minutes. Then we received our drinks. We placed our order for our starters and our entrees because we didn't know if we'd ever see her again. Long story short our waitress was awful. I do not want to say her name. She may of had a bad night. But she took no acceptance of this service being bad. Because we sat down at 6:15 PM EST and by the time we left was 9:45 PM EST. Come on that should have NEVER happened. I understand you get busy, but the Local Goat was as busy if not busier but our waiter came to our table numerous times. Our waitress never came back at times. Taking the icing is when I provided her my credit card to remit payment. We waited 15 minutes for her to return. I was getting ready to go find her to get my credit card back. I know one thing is when I return to the area, I'm staying away from this place. Parking is difficult, waitress doesn't check on her customers enough and when she does, she disappears for long periods of time. read more

I have to review what I received, not what I ordered. I ordered the sirloin, but received the chopped streak. No, I didn't send it back. The price was the same and well, I didn't have the energy. What I received was terrific though. For chopped steak, it was tender, with a nice season. It was a tad over cooked for a medium. The Buffalo chips, weee delicious! A Ruffle's style potato slices that are seasoned, and fried. The house salad was very good. A fresh chopped lettuce mix with carrots, tomato, and croutons. The service was quick, we were seated quickly, drink orders taken, salads delivered quickly, and as we were finished, the steaks arrived. Five stars for the food and service. Ate at J.T. Hannah's last night for dinner. My wife had a cheeseburger prepared medium well with lettuce, tomato, and fresh onion with mayo. Fries were her side. I had the ribeye prepared medium rare. My steak was prepared exactly as requested. It cut easily and was very good-tender and juicy! I had a tossed salad as my side with a thick and creamy ranch dressing. I did miss that no bread accompanied the meal. I think it would have added to my enjoyment of both the salad and the ribeye. I guess that price competition has streamlined accoutrements from the meal. I did enjoy my selection of onion rings and paced them to accompany each bite of steak. The onion rings were large and crispy. They would have benefited from a horseradish sauce as would have the ribeye. Although we have visited Pigeon Forge two to three times a year for about 30 years this was our first time at JT Hannah's. Their decor conveys a stockyard very nicely. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us throughout. She was very accommodating and focused on assuring our pleasurable dining experience. Overall I was pleasantly surprised with our dinner and appreciate Christy and Brooks Ramsey of the Faith, Fun and Food Channel on YouTube for his review and recommendation of this establishment. read more

Had dinner here tonight and, while it wasn't horrible, it wasn't great either. The hostess took us to the table, put the menus and silverware down in a pile on the table and walked away without saying a word. I don't have any complaints about the service, it was busy and they appeared to be understaffed but the two servers that took turns waiting on our table were fine. The food came out pretty timely, but I was surprised when my order (chicken Alfredo with broccoli on the side) came out with the extremely hot bowl of broccoli sitting on top of my pasta and the bread stuck inside of the the pasta bowl. The bowl of broccoli was so hot I could not take it off of my pasta and had to use two napkins to remove it so as not to burn my fingers. I had to basically eat around the bread because there was not a bread plate or extra napkin to place the bread on. The bad: food arrived 35+ min after ordering it. I know it's not a fine wine place, but they only offer one, count them, one brand of wine...Rex Goliath. Their merlot is really super subpar. I took 3 sips and left it. The server didn't even mention the full glass of wine sitting and left on the table. Server was not great...not horrible but not great. Finally: if a man is using the urinal and someone opens the door, any standing in that hall can see them using it as well as 2-3 tables who are sitting. Visited this restaurant on 3-13-25. We were craving a steak dinner and decided to give JT Hannah's a try. We were very impressed. Not only was the service good, the food was delicious. I had the JT sampler, French Dip, a side salad. When you're in a pinch, this is the place to go. 1. The sampler was the best thing about the menu. 2. French Dip just tasted off. It could have been me, but I didn't like the cheese and everything, but the onions were tasteless. 3. I tried eating the salad, but the Ranch tasted off. I ended up throwing it away. 4. Just wanted to share our experience at J, T, Hannah's yesterday evening. We had a long day at Dollywood and want3d a place in Pigeon Ford that offered a cold beer and dinner. J. T. Hanna's was the perfect spot! Absolutely some of the best dining service we have had in a long time! Beers were ICE COLD and were offered in three sizes. We each had a burger which were very reasonably priced. I ordered the Patty Melt and it was one of the best I have ever had. It was huge (1/2 lb burger) so go hungry or be prepared to take home leftovers! Family friendly also! I highly recommend this place if you Are visiting Pigeon Ford. read more

My little family frequents Pigeon Forge often, and we desired trying this restaurant every time we passed by it... Well, after dining here, it left nothing to be desired... I don't plan to eat there again... They are supposedly known for their hamburgers, which the waitress confirmed... So, I chose the Aloha Burger, and it was just mediocre... My burger was served with fries that weren't good at all... So, I chose another side of potato salad... I didn't like it either. My husband got one of their specialties, the Rueben, and it was just fair... My daughter got another one of their specialties, fish & chips... The fish was pretty good... She chose slaw as her side...It looked good, but had no flavor... She ordered lemonade to drink and it was so sour, she asked for sweet tea instead... The sweet tea was so sweet, it tasted like a mouthfull of liquid sugar... My husband had a Dr Pepper with his meal, and the waitress was so attentive that she would deliver another one to the table, after he had a couple of sips... Oh, we also had the infamous fried pickles, and they were very greasy and basic...Our total was approximately $65, the quality wasn't even worth $30... Great place to get some good food! Everything was tasty and came out hot. I had the Chicken & Ribs, I asked them to replace the baked beans with a different side but they missed that. The ribs were solid and the baked beans and coleslaw were surprisingly great. The chicken was a little charred and tough on the outside, but still good. If you want to sit down at the restaurant, its best to call ahead and get your name on the list. We were visiting town, called ahead, then left our place and still had a bit of a wait, but was way shorter than the hour or more wait time they were telling walk ups. read more

If you go in the evening, be prepared for a wait and limited parking. That said, once you get settled it's a nice setup with pretty good food. Dairy free and gluten free options available. I had the Deluxe Burger on a gluten free bread and it was pretty good. Both burgers were cooked until they were a bit dry but everything else about the food was awesome. It was also super cheap. If I remember correctly our waitress' name was Angie or Angelina and she was seriously so incredibly pleasant. Out of all the places we ate at during our vacation to Tennessee, she was the best waitress I had if not one of the best I've EVER had. I had so many questions about the menu just while ordering our drinks but she answered them all thoroughly and without making me feel rushed at all. If anything is five or more stars about this place, it's the service. Now onto why I gave it four stars: The food was good but not great. Better than okay, but nothing to right home about. We ordered a couple apps, fried pickles with ranch which were good and the spinach artichoke dip in a bread bowl which I was not a fan of at all. The dip was not like any spinach dip I've ever had and taste more like a queso than anything...idk what kind of cheese the used but that was not it, it almost taste like American cheese in there (I know, weird) which I hate. Welcome to J T Hannah's kitchen where, instead of correcting an obvious mistake, the manager refused to assist because she "doesn't like the way you are talking to me" you know..... like an ADULT!!!. A manager is the person who has the ability and responsibility to correct mistakes. I was charged $18 for 2 glasses of tomato juice also known as a "Virgin Bloody Mary". When I brought this error to the attention of the manager she said that's the way our system is. I told her she is the manager and has the power, authority, and responsibility to make it right. She said I'll take the second one off the table and only charge $9 for the first glass of tomato juice. Not what I would expect from any quality manager I've ever dealt with. I am not afraid to post positive reviews, and J T Hannah's kitchen has, in the past, provide a solid experience. But this is not acceptable. read more
