Let's start off with parking. There's like barely any actually. This plaza is so busy, because there are so many other restaurants around. However, there are only like 4 tables, so if you're trying to find a spot to study, good luck. Around like 12-2 o'clock, it got so busy. The places was crowded with students as well as people coming for lunch. It got loud and super busy. However, I would definitely come back for the food and the drinks. Adorable place, yummy drinks, delicious food, whats more to love. The interior is clean and bright. The place is a bit small but I'm sure you can find a place to sit either at the big group tables are higher smaller tables. I got the Thai green tea with jelly and it was da bomb. The drink has that distinct Thai tea taste with subtle hints of green tea. It is a bit sweet though and I'm not sure if you can adjust the sugar level. Their jellos are definitely unique. Not my cup of tea unfortunately. I've never been to a Vietnamese tea house but was really curious to try it myself. I got the milk green tea with milk jello ($4) and the flavors are bolder than I am used to. Almost too bold but this could be my pregnancy tastebuds on overdrive. It really reminded me of sunscreen. I also got the spring rolls with chicken and quail eggs. 4 small rolls for $5. What bothered me was trying to charge for ice and sink water. Flavors have been out of control during my pregnancy and I have been watering things down to make it more palatable. The drink was unapologetically sweet (I grimaced after my first sip), contained too much dairy, and lacked in tea flavor. The milk jello had such a subtle taste that it makes you question whether there's actually any taste at all, and it becomes easily overpowered by your drink. Texturally, I feel the milk jello is too dense. The menu is rather vague, and the sequence doesn't make sense. For instance, what is "Milk Tea No. 3," and why is it #2 on the menu? Similarly, what is "Milk Tea No. 5," and why is it #3 on the menu? Lots of potential confusion here. The air conditioning needs to be appropriately scaled to accommodate the number of people inside. I know it tends to be a somewhat common practice for Asian businesses to cut back on AC to save on costs, but when it feels cooler outside on a humid summer night in Houston, then you have a problem. I found a new favorite place to get some coffee!!!! I am currently obsessed with their Cafe Sua Bot. It's a unique twist on the Vietnamese coffee. There are three layers: condensed milk, REAL coffee in the middle, and coffee milk foam on top. The foam has a nice balance of bitterness and sweetness. I get this almost weekly!!! (10/10) I also recommend their Thai Green Milk tea. It's doesn't taste too heavy. You can definitely taste the tea. It might be a bit sweet for some people so maybe wait for the ice to melt or ask for less sweet? Banh Trang Tron: The price is so affordable compared to other places and the portion is just as big. The only complaint that I have is that it's more oily. Che Khuc Bach: This is my first time trying this dessert and I love it! By default, it comes with all the flavors that they have: chocolate, matcha, milk, and strawberry. I like how it's not overly sweet. If you want to taste the actual flavors be sure to not drink anything before eating this. If you do, then all the flavors will taste the same. I wanted some milk tea to finish off my savoury(ish) lunch of pho and found this place nearby. Walking in, it was a cute little shop with nice winter themed decorations. The staff greeted us and I was really surprised at the expansive menu, from an array of different drinks to snack items. I like that their milk tea menu has descriptions for the level intensities of the tea, cream, and sweetness in each kind. I wanted to order the Milk Tea No. 3 but they told me they were out for the day; which indicates to me that these drinks must be pre-mixed - otherwise, they should have been able to make it... but no big deal, I got the No. 5 instead and added their cream milk jello, which I've never seen before. I add milk jello in here as well! Tiramisu Milk Tea 4/5. I'm not a fan of coffee jelly but the tea itself was good and the milk foam they put on top gives it a nice touch. Very bad customer services. I ordered Banh Canh for to go last time and they put the hot soup in the styrofoam cup. The soup was too hot it caused the styrofoam up to melt, making it spilled all over the bags. I came back and tried to ask if they can put the soup in another container next time and they told me IT WAS MY FAULT THAT THE STYROFOAM MELTED?!? They were going on about selling it this way for years and it should not happen like that and I might put it in Microwave and made it melt (?!) I would not recommend this place. First of all, the workers there are not familiar with their own products. They didn't know what type of milk they use for their milk tea drinks. Apparently, the milk tea is already premixed beforehand, so you won't be getting a "freshly" made drink. Their drinks are made very sweet. Even though 50% sugar was requested, it tasted like 150% to me. They don't fill up their milk tea drinks either. I was very surprised at the large space of fluid missing from half of my drink container. You pay the same price as the other tapioca drink places for a lot less drink. I should have just gone to my usual spots instead of trying out a new place. EDITED TO ADD: The drinks are seriously under filled if you request no ice. It was a cold day, so I wanted to skip the ice. So JTea decided to skip out on HALF of my tea drink too. It looked ridiculously low in the tall drink container. At the other tea places (which I have frequented A LOT of different tapioca cafes), they usually fill UP the drink ALL the way, OR leave 1/2 INCH to 1 INCH MAXIMUM space at the top of the drink container. Here at JTea, I am estimating their drink container to be approximately 7 inches in height. They left 3.5 inches of space from the top of the drink container empty....and oh yeah that was WITH Tapioca at the bottom. read more

JTEA do I love you?? Am I riding?? Say I'm never gonna leave cuz you're exciting!! Yeah unfortunately I had to go back to Florida lol... but this was one of my favorite places in Houston. I mean they really don't have many drinks here but they have good drinks. If you're a matcha or original milk tea person then this place is definitely for you! Their original milk tea comes in 3 different styles but you can get the classic. Its pretty sweet but it's gooooood. The matcha tastes a little different from what I'm accustomed to but it was still booming. Everybody orders it! They even have matcha boba. Also, I never seen this done before but they have bottles and gallons you can buy and take home without ice. The vibe here is excellent tho, I can't complain.
