What a hoot! I had a smile on my face from the moment we walked in til we left. There's nothing like being time warped into the 1970s and watching old cartoons and advertisements on the TVs while eating your dinner or having a drink. Everything from the color scheme to the light fixtures to the trinkets collected behind the bar screams 1970s, and made for a fun, goofy, comforting nostalgia. We started with drinks at the bar while we waited for a table. They have a good selection of local brews as well as cocktails. Even the names of the drinks made me smile. I got the "dirty shiddy martini." Then we moved to our table in the "rumpus room." The menu is no-frills and straightforward. Not a ton of options, but you're there for a burger! They have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options to make everyone happy. We each got a burger Alabama style, split some fries with "flat sauce," and added a giant pickle on a stick for shids and giggles. Delicious, it all hit the spot! Staff is friendly and quick. I just stopped in today for a beer, and a couple of points told me I have found my new second home. 1. Traditional on tap. 2. Really nice folks as regulars. 3. The bartender/proprietress is charming, friendly and a Babe of the highest order. I will be back, and will provide more details as I assimilate. I was in there for about an hour, and by the time I left, everybody knew my name.

I was first drawn here by the promise of reasonably priced pizza, and was won over at first taste. I have ordered several personal size 8" pizzas here, and each was delicious. I also tried the baked spaghetti, which did not delight me. But the pizza... also, cheap beer which is never a bad thing. The House Special and the Chicken Special are both really good. The vegetarian was also good, but not brilliant. I tend to eat in, and be warned that the restaurant and pub are pretty much the same space. This is not a family environment in the evenings, as the regulars tend to use language better suited to a machine shop than a family restaurant. They have a pool table and VLT's for those feeling lucky, and a couple of big screens for the sports fans. I have been going back weekly for my pizza fix, and will continue for a while.
