Great patio for getting full sun. Dog friendly too and they provide water bowls as well. We were there for quite some time but staff were great and not pushing us at all. Drinks: Corona Sunrise: tastes like a corona with lemon and ice cubes. White sangria: 8/10, was okay not the best. Food: Chicken Gyoza: 9/10. Boyfriend thinks these are the best in the city. I admit they are good. Fried perfectly and sauce is very food but I prefer more chicken in mine. Dynamite Shrimp: 9/10, had a sample from a friend and it was delicious. Brussel Sprouts: 8/10. Sauce was great but I found them a little undercooked for my liking - if you like them a little hard and chewy then you might enjoy them more! Friend asked for no bacon due to his values but still found a piece in his. A.C.E burger: 10/10. I wish the menu specified the patties are smash patties and VERY small so even though it says 2 it tastes like no more meat than 1 normal patty. Friend said he did not get this burger cause he thought it would be too much protein and more like 1/4 lb of beef. Patties were cooked great, flavor was good, bun was good. Sesame brown rice this time was underwhelming, not enough sesame sauce so rice was very bland. Broccolini was a side available (not on the online menu) and was cooked perfectly. First off, this place is super loud when it's full. It's hard to have a conversation. The service was good but the food was cold when we got it. Must have been a bad night for the kitchen. Had the pineapple burger and it wasn't bad. It as I said it was cold. I had tho dumplings and they weren't too bad but half of them were burnt. We've had better experiences here for sure but tonight was not there best night to be sure. On the positive their nachos with pulled pork was pretty good. read more

Very busy tonight as its patio season, waiting times were 35-40mins for patio and there were 5 groups ahead of us so my friend and I decided to get self seating inside and it was immediate. Since it was extremely busy, I found it very noisy than most times. Service was fast and our server was friendly and good, we didn't have to wait long to order and get our food. Love the salmon burger with cesar salad, its a great combination and healthy. Disclaimer: This review is for Original Joe's brunch. The restaurant had gained popularity over the years and we happened to be around the neighborhood on a Saturday morning for food. Original Joe's seemed to be a good choice. Environment - the restaurant was clean and looked well maintained. I felt like walking into a regular bar with TVs in every corner. Food - the brunch menu was small but covered most offerings for brunch food. I ordered the eggs benny soft and it came out just that. The sides were a skewer of fruits and fried potatoes. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The hollandaise sauce, however, was just a little bit too sour. Value - for 12 dollars, it was decent for two eggs benedict with sides. The quality of food was quite good considering the price. Overall - although the brunch menu is small at Original Joe's, the food is solid and on par with many other brunches. My family and I are regulars. Lunch dates, dinner, ordering from Skip the Dishes. Eating in we usually have a good time. Occasionally they seem to be understaffed in the kitchens (food taking a long time or coming out cold) but the front end service usually makes up for that. Ordering in, via Skip, can be a nightmare. Almost every time we get the dreaded "Original Joe's needs more time with your order" message... so be prepared to wait 60 mins minimum for your dinner. Order accuracy is also a major problem. Our last 3 orders have had at least one item missing or incorrect. We ordered from this location a couple nights ago and they missed cutlery, an entree, and two sides. Fortunately they worked hard to get our remaining items to us and even provided compensation! The service again made up for the issues with the food. read more

Always a great time at this location. A favorite of my parents for lunch, we come here often and enjoy the delicious menu and decent service. The staff have always been at least satisfactory, with some excellent service here and there. One of the best things about Original Joe's is the fact you are able to choose two reasonably sized sides for your meal. I usually get salad and some form of potato. My favorite item to order is the quinoa burger. It is tasty, has a pleasant texture and is very satisfying. I am an avid fan of burgers and this one is definitely in my top 20. read more

Came here on a Friday evening and was amazed to see how busy it was. The atmosphere was great, everybody was relaxed enjoying a drink after a long week. Today, two stars only! Due entirely to the 'fish tacos'. And the fact that the server didn't ask "how is everything tasting so far?" Don't even consider the fish tacos. If this isn't the busiest OJs there is, I don't know what would be. This location is always packed! Even at 10pm on a Tuesday. I swear, the people in Terwillegar and Riverbend sure love getting their OJ on. They probably could have made this location a bit bigger that's for sure, the fact that it is often tough to get a table and that it always feels cramped and boxed in is the only reason that I give 3 stars to this location. The pub grub food is all great, like all the OJs. And the wait staff is excellent, I appreciate that OJs hires really good, qualified staff! Seriously, nothing worse then being in a packed house with a terrible waitress. I will definitely be back to this location, but I still like the Old Stony Plain Road location the best. I'm keeping an ear out for sirens - it's a crime that I have yet to review this place, especially when I have a "my haunts" list. Original Joes is a great sports/hang out bar. Service has been consistently friendly, and helpful. Yes, the servers are also attractive, as Keegan delicately puts it. Expect to come early, or have to wait for roughly half an hour. At night, the tables are candlelit, but the restaurant and bar stools are in the same room - this means during a game, it gets really loud in here, so for an intimate date, pick a quieter time to come by. Drinks and food are both awesome - in particular, the Sgt. Pepper Burger with Coleslaw and mashed potato. Whether having this, the fish tacos, the Pacific Rim or really, any of the other food I've seen served, you can be confident that you'll get great volume for your money. It's my favorite hangout, so check it out when you have a chance. :) read more

I have been here a couple time, but one time stands out in my head. My boyfriend and I went here for a small night out near his birthday. We had cabbed over to the restaurant and we had already had a fair bit to drink and when we got here, we ordered a bottle of wine. Our server was really friendly and she left us on our own, except to check up and see how we were. Near the end of our evening, we wanted to go home, but we also wanted to stop and get a bottle of wine. And then we realized that it was after 1am and all the liquor stores would be closed. We asked our server if we could buy a bottle of wine and then have her re-cork it for us to take home. She said they didn't have a recorking machine and that she was unable to do it. She came back a couple minutes later with a bag, and she handed it to us. Inside was a closed bottle that she sold for us to take home. It was super sweet of her to go out of her way, and we really appreciated it. The servers here really go out their way to make sure their customers are happy. One of my favorite places south of the river. Good food, great (and attractive) servers and a bustling vibe. It's always busy, and you'll often have to wait for a table but the vibe caused by this is well worth it. There's a great beer selection both on-tap and in the bottle, and the OJs specialty brews are quite good although definitely pub beer with little depth. Their bartenders are fantastic and the wine selection is good. This has to be one of my favorites for an after-work drink and appetizer. This is my new local, AND I LOVE IT! When I first realized the only pub within walking (stumbling) distance of my house was an OJs I was kinda bummed. I had just come from downtown living with a plethora of cool and unique pubs at my finger tips. OJs? Chain restaurant? YUCK! But I concede, I am wrong, THIS particular OJs, is bomb. The atmosphere is what makes this place. It dark, it's hip, it's rowdy enough for a crowd but intimate enough for a first date. Patio is good too. Service is above average with friendly, diligent and good looking servers. Food is good. Variety, tasty, a bit off the beaten path of standard pub/chain food. Drinks flow freely here. I like Original Joe's but I don't love it. They have good food and a cool atmosphere. It's kind of like a sports bar but I bit more classy. I don't know if that makes sense, but that's what it is! I find the service here to be a coin toss. Sometimes I get a great server who is friendly and attentive, and other times I get ignored for the majority of my time there. It's really hit or miss. A lot of people love Original Joe's and swear by it, but I don't really understand the hype. I like the atmosphere and the food is good but it's nothing to write home about. My fiancé and I hit this spot a few nights ago. We were looking to stop somewhere different for dinner, and we always enjoy OJs. So we sit down and place our order, he got the ginormous kona burger, I got the Saigon sub. We waited and waited, the people beside us got their dinner, we waited some more. They finished their dinner, then ours came out. The food was very very cold, weird for waiting SO long. So why the 5 stars???? They immediately had it fixed, they rushed a new one and it was ready in no time. They also gave us a salad to munch on while we waited. The food was great, we both loved ours, and the manager even came over to apologize. Then, to top it off, they took care if our dinner. The food is great - never had a bad meal here yet - and pricing very reasonable. The service is absolutely exceptional. Meet people here all the time. Came here on a Saturday night with a big group and the service was really good for 75% of the time. It got spotty when it got really busy but that's to be expected. After we sit for 5 minutes they come and kick us out of our seat because they said there was a wait. She was even rude about it like we should've known. Brutal. I ordered a water with lemon. I got the water and no lemon. So I said when ever you get a chance can you bring me a slice of lemon. She walked over to the bar grabbed a slice of lemon in her hand came over to my table and proceeded to put the slice on my water glass. I was so discussed I was ready to walk. I took the lemon off my glass and put it on the side thinking maybe she would ask questions but nope. I then proceeded to watch the bar not one person used prongs to pick up the lemons. They wernt covered, there was at least 6 different hands in all, they used the same cloth they washed the bar to wape the wine glasses.
