Hearing good things about this place, finally ordered take out to give it a try. Solid 4 stars. Tried the orange chicken- nice crispy white meat with thin strands of fresh orange peel. Not overly sweet. Pork chow mein also very flavorful, large chunks of meat. Beef broccoli a little less stellar, but good, nonetheless. But what happened to the fortune cookies? Will be back to try more of their menu. Told us to allow 45 minutes on a Friday night for our pick up order, so will keep that in mind when ordering next time. read more

I hate to give bad reviews right now, but our experience keeps getting worse each time I come here. I usually come here when craving general Tso chicken. The first time it was great. The next time or two it was a little worse with some being overcooked, tough, and stringy. That's when I left my previous review. I've prob ordered from here 5 or so times since, and every time there's more bad pieces of chicken. Last time every single piece was like this. If it's just a piece or two, it's not a big deal. I'll spit it out or eat it it it's small enough. But the whole order? What are they doing in that kitchen? The pork buns are always bad too. They are rubbery in parts like they've been microwaved too long. The Singapore noodles and curry chicken are still decent, which is why they get 1 star. I don't know if I'll be back. I may try one more time right in the middle of lunch hour to see if it's better. As I said, I typically get this when I'm craving boring American Chinese, but Panda Express is better read more

In the process of moving to Pacifica so I wanted to check out a local food place. I got general tso's chicken (delicious, a lil spicy flavor for a kick), beef chow fun with black bean sauce (best chow fun I've ever had, the addition of black bean sauce is amazing) and 2 pork buns. I'll be a regular here for take out Chinese 100%, hopefully I'll be able to dine in and bring friends when the world gets back to normal! Do not order sweet and sour shrimp. The shrimp inside is tiny and it's all bread. The fried rice is fine. The broccoli beef meat is really chewy (the flavor is good but the meat quality is really low). I would prefer less shrimp in an entry for bigger higher quality shrimp...and pay a higher price for better quality beef. read more

Ju Fu Restaurant definitely surprised me with the orange chicken, spring rolls and chicken chow mein. I am used to go to traditional Chinese restaurants and this one brought balanced flavors that will pleasure a wide variety of tastes. We enjoy this local Chinese food place. The people are super nice there and service is always pretty good. It's clean and not too small so you don't feel cramped when dining - bonus! The prices are very reasonable (compared to some other Chinese food places around town, which I won't name). We enjoy the food as well - particularly the hot and sour soup, wor wonton soup, pot stickers and pork fried rice. The Kung Pao chicken is tasty as well...as are other things on the menu but the above are some of our faves. We've dined there with groups and as a couple multiple times and have always had positive experiences. We've ordered food "to go" and the orders are typically ready within 20-25 minutes of calling and they give plenty of food. Family friendly and super casual. The eggplant with garlic sauce was perfect. The eggplant was cooked just the right amount, not too mushy, and sauce was delicious. Tasted fresh and healthy. The crab cheese puffs actually tasted like crab, some of the best we've ever had. The person taking our order was also courteous and kind, and there was a barrier of tables/chairs in front of the cashier to ensure social distancing. They have vegetarian meat options. Orange "chicken", vegetable chow mien, vegetable fried rice, vegetable spring rolls. Everything is freshly made, so the wait is longer than any other Chinese restaurant, but let me tell you, it's worth the wait. I'm thankful for a restaurant I can go to where I have actual options of food, especially being a vegetarian and dairy-free. I've been told the pork buns and potstickers are heaven too. read more

Located in the old Pacific's next to City Grill in the Park Mall Shopping Center at Terra Nova Blvd and Oddstad. Grand Opening is today, March 19th, 2016. First you notice that is looks very much the same, but CLEAN, organized. Staff is young, and inexperienced, especially if compared to Pacific's crew that took care of you well. They seemed shy, quiet, hesitant to approach, could barely hear them when they spoke. Took a bit too long to get our order placed, but once we did the rest moved quickly. We were asked if we were sharing, and did we want plates...Yes. We were brought appetizer plates. Too small to put a bit of everything on it. But the food was fresh, hot & appetizing for the most part. The fried rice looked quite white, not "fried" as we're expecting, but tasty. The pork was BBQ type, so sweet, different, but also tasty. No American choices on the menu, all Chinese, but quite a nice variety. We finished up, asked for to-go containers. They were brought to the table for us to fill...not what we are used to and a bit precarious to do from where we sat. Prices are average. We had water to drink, Fried Pork Rice, Mongolian Beef, Chicken Chow Mein & a small steamed rice......$30. Will probably go back, but staff needs a LOT of work in getting comfortable with what is on their menu, what customers expect as it will be hard not to compare it to Pacifics. Have been eating at Ju Fu for years with a couple of friends before concerts at Pacifica Performances (those were the days!) and have continued by doing takeout during the pandemic. The food is great! Our special favorites are the sesame beef, shredded pork with garlic sauce, and the spicy eggplant. But honestly, there's nothing we don't enjoy there. The service was always friendly and great, and the cooks always wave to us as "regulars." Looking forward to eating there again in person, but until that happens, takeout satisfies the craving for delicious food! read more

Excellent restaurant. I've never had anything bad in trying a dozen different things there on several occasions. Moderate pricing as well with good amount of food.. Restaurant is located at a mall center in Park Pacifica. It is known mostly by locals due to its location. The only downfall is they usually have just two chefs on Friday & Saturday Nights when there should be three .That isn't good as the 45 minute wait for take out would become 30 minutes. Our favorite Chinese restaurant in Pacifica! Inexpensive, FRESH, not greasy, and fast service. We enjoy lunch here and often let them 'cater' our weekend dinner gatherings for 20+. Kenny's will always have my heart, but Ju Fu is not a bad option at all, especially since it's right down the street from my parents house. Every time I visit them without my husband (he hates Chinese food), I go with them to get my fix. It's your standard Americanized Chinese food, but the ingredients seem fresher than most places and the food is less greasy. My favorites are their fried rice, beef chow mein, sweet and sour pork (it's nice and crunchy even with the sauce), and the onion pancake. They are very consistent with their food. I like that it is not too greasy/heavy overall. We pretty much only do take out. The atmosphere for dine-in does t attract me too much so we haven't opted for that. But consistency is key and so far they have made delicious food on a consistent basis. read more

My last few orders have taken a really long time to get to my table or to be ready for pickup. I have asked as a customer what can I do differently? I Pre-order and Pay when I arrive but they have been 20-40 minutes later then they estimated. I am ordering g for 2 people. We recently moved to Pacifica and just found this spot last night. I love it! Standard, delicious Chinese food. I'm always looking for a good Wonton Soup and was so happy to try theirs and love it. The portions are quite large too. 3 dishes for $30 (plus tip) for 2 people. This included leftovers, so basically it feeds 3 individual meals. The owners cooked in BrAzil in Sao Paulo and if u can survive there you are tried and tested. I gave them a giant wall map of Brazil last night. Okay, my first time was positive. Friendly staff, clean, generous portions. The tofu was light and flavorful with just the right amount of spice balanced with orange zest. Unfortunately, my future visits spiraled downward. After my next two visits, I got sick. The first time was when I ordered the same tofu dish for takeout. Today, I ordered the walnut shrimp from the lunch menu and it looked good, but basically it was a lot of breading with tiny shrimp. I took off much of the breading and boxed the rest of the shrimp to have for dinner. Although I drank lots of hot tea, I'm sick to my stomach right now and will never go back. read more

I really enjoyed my takeout experience here. I called in my order and all the food was correct. I got there and the guy was polite which is not usually the case in a lot of restaurants. The space looked clean and welcoming. We had the won ton soup which came with big won tons the chow mein which was flavorful and potstickers which my kids devoured. Everyone I have a great computer tech who introduced me to this restaurant. I was skeptical at first. I have been eating Chinese food both in the US and China. You have to be good to impress me. The first impression was one of these "off the-beaten path hole in the wall restaurants." When I arrived at the door the first time, the owner warmly greeted me and showed me to a booth. He brought me a nice glass of white wine. I had a look at the menu. It is original and "thinks outside the box." I had the shrimp skillet and it was a marvelous lunch. The price was reasonable. I brought the computer tech to lunch here and my wife later. Both liked this place. I was back on Tuesday. I had a great soup and curry shrimp with fried rice. Service used to always be slow since the beginning, for dining in. Pick up is never ready when you arrive. Last few times we called it in, they told us it is a 50 min. wait, then once we arrived an hour later it is another "15mins" until you are standing there for another HOUR, along with the others whose food is also super delayed.
