We've gotten chicken here for dinner and for a couple parties and they've never failed to deliver their consistent deliciousness. We recommend it if you have a last minute party. I love Juan Pollo Chicken. Whenever I feel like bringing home a quick chicken dinner for the family, this is one of our top choices (together with KFC or Pollo Loco). I really do not like eating here because the place is sooo small. They have only about 2-3 tables and it can get very crowded during lunch/dinner hours. So, picking up a "TO GO" would be my recommendation esp. for large group. My favorite here are their chicken (of course), potato salad and rice (yellow rice with chunks of chicken and green onions - yumm). I'm not a fan of their beans but my family does. Their chicken are delicious - full of flavor; juicy and tender. You can tell it's slow cooked - rotisseried. I like how they pull the chicken out of the large rotisserie oven and chopped it while you watch. I've never seen their chicken sitting on a heatlamp, hence they are always so moist and juicy. I always order the family meal - 2 whole chicken, flour/corn tortillas, salsa and 3 large sides. Price is very reasonable. Aside from the small eating area, I don't like how they don't accept credit card for forms of payment. They only accept cash and ATM card for a small fee (.75cents, I think). read more

I was on my way to work where we would have a pot luck. The single worst Juan Pollo of all the franchises. I am a frequent customer at the Fontana location, Ontario, and riverside. Every time I come here I hope for a different result, but it gets worse. The lady taking my order today seemed thoroughly annoyed to be working, I get that it's New Years Day, but it's your job, seriously, this lady was awful. The food was cold and I'm pretty sure they were using day old rice. The area surrounding the location is a hazard as I was approached by 2 bums asking for money, it's dark and lots of shady characters. Let me start by saying that the food is incredible. I would so like to note that most other if not all other Juan Pollo locations are GREAT! This one, is awful. I ordered a party pack for my wife's surprise party, the first sign of trouble was when I showed up and the food was nowhere close to being ready. Finally I see one of the staff members ore parsing the food. I actually said to him "don't fill the beans too high, I don't want to get my car messed up". He nodded and went to the back. Second problem, I take the beans to my car and the canister was so hot that I literally burnt my hands, badly, wasn't offered any type of holder or anything. Then, I very carefully position my trays in the car with a to we'll underneath. Well, that did nothing because I got home to find that beans had spilled all over my back seat. As we speak, we have tried twice to get the bean again off the seat, but no luck, $60 later we are still looking for an answer. To make matters worse, I called to speak to someone at the location about it and they brushed me Off and said it was not their responsibility. Drive the extra few miles and go to a different location, this one should be shut down. Still no response, even emailed their main website with no reply, done with this company. read more

It's not that it's bad but there are so many chicken places better than Juan Pollo. It could be that I was unlucky the day I tried it. My chicken was salty, the beans were salty...what's up with that? Actually, the main flavor was "salt". i'm willing to try it again but it will not be from this location, maybe it will taste better at another Juan Pollo. Customer service here is not the best there is a young girl taking orders and she has no people skills she is rude and has shit face every time I go in it's almost like it bothers her when she has to take orders... They changed the whole menu, took away thier combo meals/lunches/dinners, raised the prices, and gutted the combos..now for example the standard "lunch" combo meal which USED to have a leg/thigh & brest/wing 2 sides, tortillas and a drink for $6.99 a nice deal. Now for example, you buy the 2 piece breast / wing meal, 2 sides and tortillas is $5.84 , the big deal is if you add a small drink you add 1.49 to the price, and now its $ 7.33 instead of $6.99 and they are shorting you 2 pieces of chicken....what a rip off.... My suggestion, dont take off your most popular menu items, and replace them with something thats half of what it used to be...for the same price...If you want to ADD to the menu, great..if you have to raise prices a bit people will understand...cost of living goes up.....but dont think your customers are too stupid to add... read more

Very good rotisserie chicken, very good rice and great potato salad...I went last night and just didn't find anything bad to say about the food or how quickly my order was ready. I was about to sit down when the girl said order ready!!!
