They serve specialty beers (can you tell I am not a beer connoisseur ) but all I can say is there different types of micheladas are delicious. Now the food!! I have never been disappointed! It's located in a typical Southern California strip mall with Lumpia and Pan Dulce only a few steps away. We had the Sonoran Dog with fries and Heartbreaker, which is a footlong bacon-wrapped 100% beef dog served with beans and pico de gallo on top. The beans are very delicious and the hot dog was tasty without being too salty. They also have outdoor seating and a belt for the line, so I'm certain the breakfast, lunch, and dinner rushes are consistent. Heard good things about this spot on social media and wanted to try something different than your standard Mexican restaurant so we gave this a try on a Saturday night! Got the Sonoran hot dog and the California burrito. The hot dog was pretty good, the toppings were tasty and blended well with the hot dog. The sausage was grilled pretty well, I thought the bun itself was just okay. It could have been toasted better. Felt like it was good but was just missing something to make the dish stand out more. The burrito on the other hand was amazing. One of the best I've had from anywhere. We got carne asada in the burrito and it was top notch. Cooked really well and blended perfectly with the rest of the burrito. I was really impressed! Service was good here as well and gave us some solid recs, The restaurant is nice with plenty of TVs playing sports and was very clean. This place has great food! I ordered the Mexican pizza with chicken and bacon. It exploded with flavor! That paired with the green salsa! There is no other place that sells anything like this! They also sell craft beer to wash down all the sodium! The servers there are really nice, they give a military discount if you serve. The place has TVs to watch the games, bar stools to sit and chat with the beer tenders. It's a small cozy spot. They have wooden high seating inside the restaurant. I found this place through an instagram reel like maybe late last year, and honestly I'm so thankful because I do go here every now and then for breakfast (even with it being close to a 30 min drive from my place), and my goodness today was another prime example of why I keep coming back. I was really craving a Mango Michelada and stumbled upon Sonora Grill, and really glad I did! We were greeted as soon as we entered and they answered any questions we had and let us know which items were favorites. My hubby decided on the Surf & Turf Nachos and I picked the Cali Burrito with Carne Asada. To drink I got my Mango Michelada which was really delicious and refreshing! My Cali burrito was also really good! The carne asada was really flavorful you could tell they use quality meat! The salsa they gave with it really tied it all together. Now the nachos were the real star! The shrimp was huge! The Carne Asada was juicy, there was just the right amount of cheese and beans on the nachos and the guac salsa was just *chefs kiss* The restaurant was split into two sides, the bar side where there was multiple TVs and music playing and the regular side where there was a couple tables. I've been coming to this place going on like 5 years now and I never get tired of it. They are always evolving with new secret menu items and the tried and true classics. My favorite is the El Chapo, a fully loaded, bacon wrapped, asada burrito. Their beer selection cannot be beat as they always have new beers to satisfy everyone's ABV preference, I'm all about the high IPAs. It is then filled with Beans, rice, onion, guacamole and meat. Tortilla fully wrapped in bacon, and then baked ...comes out crispy. The carnitas I expected to be savory but just tasted like plain pork; no savory garlic little salty flavors that carnitas is famous for . We also had the "The heart breaker" hot dog! This was yummy and the dog was beefy! This was full of flavor. Crispy French fries add to the deliciousness of it all. We had Bunelos with vanilla ice cream.
