I ordered from the Moreno Valley Taqueria 2 Potrillos through Grubhub for a business luncheon, and it was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Before placing my order, I called the restaurant to make sure I was ordering enough food for 11 people. The first employee who answered did not speak enough English to communicate with me and abruptly hung up on me. When I called back, another employee put me on hold and eventually assured me that the amount I ordered would be more than enough to feed 11 people. That advice was completely wrong. When the food arrived, there was barely enough to feed two people. It was embarrassing and unprofessional, especially since this was a business event. I was forced to leave and purchase additional food from another restaurant at the last minute. I immediately called the restaurant to explain what had happened. Once again, the person who answered did not speak enough English to understand my concerns and placed me on hold. I eventually hung up and tried calling back several times, but the phone remained busy. I then drove to the restaurant in person because I wanted to give them the opportunity to explain what happened and make things right. After waiting quite a while, a gentleman finally came out, apologized, and said he would pass my information along to his boss. I never had the opportunity to speak with a manager or owner, and no one made any effort to resolve the situation or follow up with me. This wasn't just a mistake with an order--it was a complete failure in customer service, communication, and accountability. I gave this restaurant every opportunity to address the issue, and they failed at every step. I will never use Taqueria 2 Potrillos again for business catering, work lunches, or personal orders, and I cannot recommend them based on my experience. read more

I did go in to get an agua fresca (sandia/Watermelon). It was delicious! Front counter rang me up quickly and I was out enjoying my drink. By the way, parking is limited as it's shared with the other businesses in the plaza. Be careful because cars tend to drive fast coming in, and they are situated right at the corner of the entrance. This place is ok very inconsistent with their food. Their portions are small and they continue to raise the prices each time I go. I have visited less frequently because its getting very expensive. Their menudo is good but I always get it without harmony since its always very hard. Their fish tacos are good their specialty meats are too. Asada sometimes has too much fat. I wanted to love this place so bad, but it's just not for me. I grew up in Los Angeles and have had some pretty incredible tacos in my life. My prefer is leaner meats. I came with my husband and we tried a lot of carne asada items: quesadilla, tacos, sopes, and burritos. Additionally, we ordered chips and guacamole and some aguas frescas. Things I absolutely loved: the aguas frescas, the guac, salsas, and that they make the tortillas right in front of you. My biggest drawback is how fatty the meat is. Even when I thought I picked off all the fat, there was still so much fatty meat. That's just not my thing so I'm unlikely to return by choice. A small nit of mine is that they don't have lids for the salsa. You have to ask them for salsa to go. Which seems incredibly wasteful with all the plastic. Just add lids. This place a a stop we never miss on the way from Arizona to California. Our girls literally scream for excitement. It is such a well ran establishment! We have never gone without them being extremely busy but the handle it so well and we never wait long, again such a smooth operation they have! The food is probably some of the best Mexican food I have ever tasted. Literally everything is insane from the quesadillas to the aguas frescas. The fresas con crema are always our to-go dessert. I have loved this place since they opened. I've been coming here for years. Every time someone new to the city asks, Where are the best tacos at? I always highly recommend potrillos. In the last 2 months the meat in the tacos have been horrible, it's either so dry, taste old and chunks of fat. Last week we went and one of the employees started mopping right next to us with the most disgusting, overwhelming bleach smell. We had to leave after that. This restaurant is located off Perris Blvd in Moreno Valley in a small shopping center . Parking can be limited depending on the time of day. There is no parking structure or paid parking. The restaurant features approx 10 booths inside and approx 20 small tables outside under a shaded patio. Ordering is done at the window - there is no table service. We enjoy the food here! We ordered chicken and carne asada tacos , chicken quesadilla and a side of guac and chips . There is a small buffet table with onions, cilantro, radish and lemons to top your items with. There is no alcohol. The only thing we didn't care for were the chips. They were hard to eat, not sure if we got old chips but they weren't good. The restaurant was clean and well taken care of. We have eaten here more than 10x. T2Potrillos became our favorite go-to Mexican restaurant because of the quality of their food and service. Ok, so service is not always consistent - depending on the personnel. Sometimes they are slow, at times they get easily distracted; but I can tell they are doing their best to serve customers. Our favorite is always the Al Pastor, Lengua, Cabeza even though we order others (carnitas, sopes, etc). We enjoy the 3 Taco plates, but at times, we add the burrito also. Ambience is VERY BUSY. There is always a long queue, albeit fast. Sometimes customers do not pay attention when they get called - thus, delaying the waiting line of other customers. First off, street tacos need double tortillas. Tortilla was tasty, but needed to be doubled so that the taco doesn't fall apart. Our carne asada was full of grizzle and not pleasing. The flavor was good, but I feel that the quality of the beef was not very good. I wanted yummy tacos SO bad, but I found this place to be a bit of a disappointment. Camilla the yelping hen was with me so I ordered her a quesadilla... little did I know it would be freaking huge and stuffed to the max with wonderful Mexican cheese! We had one piece and we're stuffed! We got about three solid meals where this quesadilla was a component. 1. For lunch and the other 2 times I popped some of it I to my air fryer for breakfast! Never going back again!!! Used to like this place, but tonight was the worst service ever!! Asked for a pastor, easy rice and easy beans (in spanish). Short dude threw a bunch on anyway. When I mentioned something, seemed to get mad and threw all the beans and rice into the trash. What a waste too! Only need to scrap off a little! Gave me attitude from then on, pissed off asking is this amount was OK, and this killed me here, he put on only enough meat for 2 tacos....onto a burrito, WTF. You have to pay extra" Now I know this, because I was watching them make tacos for bit, I saw how much meat they put into a taco, and vs other burritos I saw, they had more. I dropped by on a Sunday night and it wasn't too busy. I got the cabeza, lengua, and al pastor taco combo and they were all good! I was pleasantly surprised! The pastor stood out the most though. It was so flavorful and probably the best I've had in a long time. The line moved quickly and it felt like a typical outdoor taco stand but indoors.
