Needed to have new flooring installed in my rental property in Spring Valley. We contracted with Juan Torres Flooring Installation LLC . We elected laminate flooring, The areas where the laminate was installed was living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and hallway. Old tiles had to be demoed and that was a challenge. Juan completed this installation efficiently and was very professional and courteous. He hauled away all debris. I would not recommend this company. Please take the time to read my experience! We hired this company to install carpet, and the process was frustrating from start to finish. The owner, Juan, came out to measure the space, but on the day of installation, he admitted that he had measured incorrectly and didn't have enough carpet to cover our walk-in closet. We had to wait another week and a half for the rest of the carpet to arrive, only to be told it would cost an additional $500. This was extremely frustrating since we had already been quoted a price, and we felt that Juan should have taken responsibility for the mistake. However, in the interest of keeping things amicable, we reluctantly paid the extra charge. To add to our frustration, Juan also tried to charge us for installation, despite it being his mistake. While we paid for the materials, we said we didn't feel we should pay for the Installation, and he said ok. A month later, we decided to add a closet in one of the rooms and asked Juan to come back out to fix the carpet on the track and for a price. Instead of giving us a clear quote, he suggested we give his worker gas money, without specifying an amount. We gave $50, which seemed reasonable for 30 minutes of work. However, after the job was done, Juan called and said his worker was unhappy with the amount and told us to pay an additional $100. $150 for 30 minutes of work is far from "gas money!" He came by after I requested a quote and made sure to explain how and what he was going to do with the flooring and he even did the baseboards which I needed.
