Our family of four has been hard on them, with lots of scratches and dullness, and they looked brand new, actually better than brand new. In certain light, they are so shiny, they look liquid. Hugo and his contractor brother Carlos carefully removed and replaced all fixtures so that everything could be cleaned and buffed. We went to Stone dynasty to choose a quartzite slab. We were quoted a certain price for two slabs…read moreand a different price for three slabs. We were told that we only needed two so we paid for those and immediately were told that we needed a third slab and they chose not to honor the rate for 3. Disappointing, but not a dealbreaker. We paid for them anyways. The main issue came in where we chose 3 slabs from a "batch" which all had the same numbers on them. I asked to make sure and were told that we were getting book matched slabs. Essentially, a left and right "shoe" that makes a pair so the fabricator can match veining properly when installing. When our fabricator showed up to pick up the slabs, they were sandwiched together so that they couldn't see the faces. Our fabricator also asked if they were book matched slabs to confirm before picking them up. SD Stone confirmed with the fabricator that they were book matched. So at this point: myself, the person with me, and the fabricator are all under the impression we are receiving book matched slabs. However, upon picking them up and arriving to the fabricators business, they found that they were not in fact book matched. Essentially, like the idea of coming home with 2 left shoes versus a left and right. We tried contacting the company and they insisted that both myself and the fabricator were informed correctly and that all sales are final and there was nothing they were willing to do. It was frustrating to deal with because it felt like both myself, the person with me, and the fabricator were being gaslit to believe that we were fully informed something that we were not. I'm sure they will respond here with their version of the story. Unfortunately, I personally would not recommend them after this experience.

Followed up every week for 3 weeks asking when will my slab be available and was always given "soon". Got a call that it was available in mid-May and went to go get it picked up. Upon showing up, it was the wrong color and not the one I picked out in the shop. They made it my problem and said there is no refunds and the color I get is what I get as that is what was cut.

I had nothing but problems with Jose and his team but hopefully my experience will serve as a…read morewarning for others. I had LVP floors installed and had my subfloor leveled. Jose had his team/family members do the work, and though they were hard workers, they were incredibly bad at their job. The leveling was completely inadequate and I had to get them back to redo two rooms. The transition pieces were all uneven and they broke one, getting glue everywhere. Jose loves to gaslight and says "my team wouldn't do that". Of course they did and the images prove it. Multiple walls had the flooring right up against the wall instead of leaving the 1/4 inch required gap for expansion. Jose himself was the worst communicator, not saying when his team would arrive till 30 minutes before, when they weren't coming everyday and a few times wouldn't show up due to random excuses. But the worst thing of all, was how uneven the subfloor is. They put so much self-leveling that I had to severely modified doors so that they could open. It was done so poorly, the subfloor varied by a half an inch from the door frame to the wall where the door opens. This was the case on three of the doors in my place. Closet openings were even worse, being 3/4 of an inch off from one side to the other causing lots of expense and a lot of work to find a solution to get a closet door to fit. Overall, the work done is what I would expect a first time floor layer to do. Jose himself was full of excuses and loved to gaslight. The price might seem competitive, but the quality of work makes you feel like you overpaid multiple times.

She met us at a warehouse to look at slabs of quartz, helped us make decisions about color, layout, and design. She was never once pushy and let us wander and discuss different slabs before finally making our decision. In the end, she saved us a lot of money by figuring out how to fabricate our countertops with one slab instead of two slabs. Her team was efficient in measuring our cabinets, laying out the template, installing the plywood countertop and installing the quartz. Lilliana allowed us to come and lay the templates out on our piece of quartz and help decide how it would fit and look in our kitchen (she is a pro; she did the majority of all the work and she did it very well). She was meticulous with designing the layout and making sure the veining in our slab would flow nicely from one piece to the next. We are very happy with our countertops and if we had to do it all over again, we would not change a thing!

All of the reviews and references were glowing. In fact, we had, I thought, a great working relationship from 2023 up until recently. I had grown to trust him. He did many projects for my mom's house, and I planned on having him work on my house in the near future. This final and most expensive project was to install new vinyl gates. He instructed me on what to purchase, since we have a military discount at the big box hardware store. He installed the gates over a few weeks, there were a few delays due to a shortage of parts needed. It was started in January 2026, and finally completed in March. It looked okay from a distance, but as I looked closer, I noticed many flaws. I don't have to be an experienced handywoman to know that something is not right (please reference posted pictures). So I asked him to come and fix the gates, as they were unacceptable. He asked what was wrong with them, and basically I told him and showed him with the pictures I took. He said he would come by. Delay upon delay. Weeks and months later he still says he'll come by (see screenshots posted). Finally, he says he will come this Monday. We wait all day. No show. I say to him, "If you didn't want to fix the gates, just say that." Essentially, he says he's not coming, and he can give me an $850 refund. I say, great, please send it. Then he proceeds to ghost me for the next few days. It's disappointing that some people and businesses are the way that they are. I just wanted to help my mom upgrade her home and make it look nicer. Below are the key observations based on visible conditions: Left Gate: *Missing screws in several areas, compromising stability and proper assembly. *Visible foam residue on the vinyl surfaces that must be properly removed and cleaned. Right Gate: *Improper installation of the 4x4 support posts. *Use of cardboard and expanding foam as filler material between the vinyl and concrete, which is not an acceptable or durable installation method. *Gate is misaligned and does not close or latch properly. *A piece of wood was used between the concrete and the post as a makeshift support, indicating improper anchoring of the 4x4 post. *Scratches and cosmetic damage present on the vinyl surfaces. *Multiple exposed and unsealed screw holes throughout the vinyl. *Excess foam residue visible across the right side of the gate. *One post cap is loose and not securely installed. ~ In regards to the business' response: Everything I do is on my mother's behalf. I am her agent. I do the all the vetting, collecting bids, and hiring for her. The issue was not money, it was about fixing the flaws on the gates. And lastly, it was at her request that I be present if you decided to show up. We trusted you, and this is what you left us with. That is all.

He fixed the issue for about a third of the price the first guy was charging. Our family is grateful and we definitely recommend Cano AC to anyone having problems with their air conditioning. Although I was in no hurry, the job was completed quite expeditiously with the exception of the iron gate, the installation of which was subcontracted (and reviewed separately). David from DG Tile& stone is reliable, trustworthy, friendly and professional. He treated our home as if it was his. Before going upstairs he put drop clothes down to protect our carpet and he even chose to do all the tile cutting in the backyard because of the amount of dust and debris it would cause. David was very good at telling me when he would arrive each day and he showed up on time each day, which made a change from other contractors. All in all David turned our tract home bathroom into an amazing custom bathroom. I will be using him for other projects in my home and I would gladly recommend him for any remodel. read more

I called David on Saturday morning to enlarge the sink opening for my new kitchen sink and he was able to come over by 10 am and do the job right then and there. He also installed the sink for me doing a great job on both projects. He was concerned and cleaned up most of the countertop dust. The previous shower wall had deteriorated beyond repair as I had discovered when I tried to repair it, so James wound up being our pick to strip the old subway tile shower down to the studs and replace it with materials that were up to code. We chose the design and selected and bought the tile, but James installed it and handled all the trim, everything but the glass shower door that was installed after we took these photos. He even came back and took care of a couple of minor touch-ups without complaint. The whole project turned out to be a lot more expensive than we anticipated, as these things do, but James' quote was in the ballpark.

It turns out though that the most sought after handymen were all booked out until Jan. I was getting a little anxious and worried since we only had a 30 day window to make some modifications in the kitchen for Home Depot to come back out and install our appliances we had purchased. I sent a "request for quote" on yelp and Fabian from FD Handyman Services got back to me letting me know they would be able to take care of everything. He sent Giovanni out a couple days later. This was the list of items he took care of: 1. The cabinet above the current microwave is measured at 28.5 from the cooktop, but needs to be raised up to 30 inches 2. The current oven was hardwired, but the new oven requires a 220v outlet installed 3. The previous owners put in the countertop and hardwood floors around the current dishwasher, so the dishwasher cutout is measured at 33.5. The new one requires a 34 inch opening. The countertop trim would need to be cut a .5 in order to get the dishwasher installed. 4. The current dishwasher is directly connected to the garbage disposal, the new one requires an air gap to be installed 5. The hot water angle stop valve was corroded and needed to be replaced 6. The refrigerator line was still connected to the old plastic tube, but we need to switch it out to the steel line and the cold water valve also needed to be replaced It took him about 7 hours to complete the entire list above. He cleaned up after himself well and was really friendly. I came home a couple days later and prepped for Home Depot to come by and install the appliances. I was checking out the wires under the sink when I saw that it was leaking! I had a mini heart attack. Giovanni was able to pick up the parts and get to my house about 1.5 hours later. He got it all fixed up. A couple other items had to be corrected, but he made sure to test everything again before leaving. We're still satisfied with the service Giovanni provided us and will be calling him back for future projects!

I ended up hiring someone else to fix it. The shelf was not centered, he didn't use Mollies to anchor the screws and he also damaged the wall and didn't tell me until I noticed it. He said he was going to fix and center for free but he was going to charge me $150.00 to patch a 4x4. I didn't mind him coming back but after I saw the damage he did I feel he lacks experience and I didn't want to take the risk and my shelf coming out of the wall. He is a nice guy but definitely should be watched from start to finish. He even covered my outlet with the shelf which I can only use one of the two outlets. Anyway, I don't think he's a shady person, just not attention to detail and just macgyvered the job. You also might want to have him communicate as to what he is doing so you can see his work progress. He may be able to do simple projects but not putting up a shelf.
