    Brussels Sprouts & Meatballs
    Kelly N.

On a Tuesday night I was looking for a calm bar to read my book and drink some wine, and I happened upon here. The windows are covered with curtains so you can't see inside and that's a small detail I would change. It's not very inviting. There was a lounge area but the piano was way too loud so I ended up at the main bar which was a great vibe. The place was mostly empty, which is unfortunate because it's a really great location and the place a beautiful. I think the concept needs to be switched up a bit. The Brussels Sprouts were delicious, but if you don't like goat cheese, make sure to ask them to leave it out. The meatballs were just okay, and lacked and special flavor. They were also slightly overcooked. It's a nice place, but needs some work to be great.

The Colonel's Club is arguably the best restaurant in Baton Rouge. The restaurant is beautiful inside and the decor is stunning. The servers were also very nice. We got the whipped ricotta dip for an appetizer which was very tasty and I loved the grilled bread it came with. I got a lobster roll for my entree and I was blown away. It was honestly better than the ones I've had in the north east! The truffle fries were also great, I just wish they came with a garlic aioli instead of ketchup. The drinks were also super good. The margarita came with a sugar cube they lit on fire and it was super fun presentation. The espresso martini with tequila was the best drink I had. I had a great experience and I can't wait to come back and try more things!

Elegant vibe, worldly flavors -- a Baton Rouge standout The Colonel's Club is a hidden gem near the Perkins Overpass. The atmosphere is classy without being stuffy--think velvet booths, a piano lounge, fireplaces, and globally inspired decor. It's the kind of place that works just as well for a date night as it does for cocktails with friends. The food really delivers. We had the Moroccan braised lamb shank, lobster gnocchi, and the smash burger. Everything was well-seasoned, beautifully plated, and full of flavor. The burger especially stood out--crispy edges, juicy center, and just the right amount of decadence. Cocktails were creative and well-balanced, and the wine list had some great options. Service was friendly and professional throughout--attentive without hovering. Prices are on the higher end, but the quality and experience make it worth it. Bonus points for the cozy lounge area and the rotating seasonal menu. Definitely recommend reservations, especially on weekends. We'll absolutely be back.

Best atmosphere - upscale without being pretentious. Our server was especially helpful and we were served fast, but not too fast - ya know? We tried the tuna appetiser which was delicious, could have used a few more of the crisps to go with it - so maybe ask for some in advance. I had the French Onion Soup as my main and I really enjoyed it. The broth had a nice rich flavor and the cheese was super melty and crispy on the edges - just the way you'd want it! Other than that our table of 6 ordered a variety of items and it seemed like everyone was happy.

It's a great place for a fancy girls' night out. Caden was so attentive and made us feel welcome. The food is spectacular - the tuna tartare and the ravioli are a must-try. They treated the tuna minimally, they just let the tuna flavors shine...and I could totally taste the lobster in the ravioli, which had a rich, decadent sauce. Loved the flavor contrasts. We are so coming back with reinforcements next time!

This place is usually very very good. This past time that we went the food was not great . The salad was soggy. The shrimp was over seasoned and my fish was bland. The last two times that I have been the food was actually really good. I am not sure if they got a new chef or what the change in the kitchen was, but I left feeling disappointed in the food that I got . The service was really good. Our server was really nice and very thorough. He explained the menu properly and informed us of the specials . The actual restaurant is very nice. There's different areas that you can sit in. There's the bar area with the piano. The bathrooms were really pretty. The overall aesthetics of the restaurant are really really nice, but unfortunately, the food this time was not the best.

Highly recommend checking this place out whether it be for a date night or a friend's dinner! My best friend and I checked the place out for our quarterly meet up and it did not disappoint! We did book a reservation, even though we went for lunch just to be safe. They did mention that reservations were needed for the weekend. The restaurant is divided into two parts. One side is a cocktail bar that has a piano player several nights a week and a great fireplace to sit by and the other side is the restaurant. From the decor to the service, everything was completely outstanding. I highly recommend getting the brussels sprouts for a starter. Even if you were not a brussels sprout fan this place will make you become one! I got the lobster gnocchi and it definitely had a lot of lobster, but I probably would not recommend it. My friend got the steak and truffle fries, and it was completely outstanding! Our waiter was Chris and it was his first week and you would have never noticed because he was completely amazing! The parking here is a little wonky. You can park under the overpass by the supermarket across the street and just walk over. Overall, a great addition for the area and will certainly be back when I'm in town!

I haven't been out in a while. Life has been life'ing! We went out to celebrate my husband's birthday. We wanted to try something new in the city. I saw a billboard for this establishment on Corporate. I made a reservation via open door. A friend had gone and said the drinks were great but she didn't try the food. So we went in with an opened mind. For starters they gave my husband a nice card that said Happy Birthday! That was a great start. Sajada was AMAZING from greeting to end. Everything she recommended was a hit. We started with the firey margarita 9/10 and the raspberry bees knees 8/10 the sling drink was a 10/10 The chicken kimchi gyoza!!!!! OMG 20/10 so good that sauce is the star of the show. Get 2 orders they come with 5 and that is just not enough! The crispy Brussels sprouts were 100000/10 ok! Listen to me order these they are perfection. The sweet from the honey, the spice from the peanut, and that truffle goat cheese..... thank me later The smash burger with bacon (bacon is an up charge) 15/10. The beef was seasoned so well. I literally ate the whole burger. The fries were great they came out a little cold but it was ok because I don't care to eat fries like that. There was no need to have them re made My husband had the crispy pork and he said it was really. The egg is a must! He ordered the egg on the side because we were unsure but when he put it together he said the egg is necessary Lastly was the brûlée cheese cake! My husband received a complimentary slice for his bday with a candle. It was sooooo good and I wanted him to enjoy it so I ordered my own I can't wait to go back! The manger is so nice. He came and chatted with us for a while. 10/10 experience

Amazing food! All of what we ordered I would 100% order again! Pros: food was amazing, atmosphere was elegant and multifunctional. Some rooms with full sunlight and other more intimate areas for date nights. Service was wonderful! Brussel sprouts were 10/10 Creme brulee cheesecake 12/10 Cons: Parking! Glad I read reviews beforehand! Parking is rough on a weekend (we went on a Saturday). There is a side gravel (paid) parking lot, so be mindful of your shoes ladies! Also the parking lines in the gravel lot are built for miniature cars.

What a great new and different biz in Baton Rouge! Such a great part of town, right by BLDG 5 and ticked under the overpass, The Colonel's Club is a great place for a late night drink or dessert. I came here on a Tuesday night around 7. We told the hostess that we just wanted dessert, so she pointed us to the lounge part. There are two sides of this place: restaurant and lounge. What they failed to mention was that in the lounge we had to order everything at the bar, even the dessert. So, not knowing this, we sat down at a table because it is first come first serve in the lounge. We weren't approached by a waitress after like 15 mins, so we asked the hostess for the menu and how to order. After she told us, we were all good. But, I would have liked this mentioned as we were entering the lounge. We got the crème brûlée and the monkey bread. The monkey bread was to die for! It was like a giant cinnamon roll but even better. It was extremely hot and melty and was a pretty big portion. Way bigger than I was expecting. Once I ordered everything at the bar, it came out within 5-8 minutes, so not long at all. In the lounge, the ambiance was on point! A fireplace to open couches and tables to sectioned off rooms to a live piano player... this had it all and it made me feel as if I were in a speakeasy. Very cool experience and I can't wait to come back!

    Lobster gnocchi
    Tina W.

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the service was fantastic. All the cocktails, appetizers and meals our table ordered were very good except the Lobster Gnocchi, which was highly recommended by our waitress. The gnocchi was rubbery and the lobster tail was very fishy tasting. Our table ordered the Lamb Shank and Beef Bolognese as well. Both tasted fabulous and the presentation was nice. The meals were also a tad cold (perhaps why the gnocchi was tough) so maybe some hiccups in the kitchen that will work out over time. The restaurant was very accommodating and offered a replacement meal instead we just ordered desserts. The chocolate cake and peach cobbler were worth all the extra calories! All in all, beautiful restaurant, outstanding service, and flavorful entrées. We will be back.

Hands down, this is one of my favorite spots in Baton Rouge right now! If I'm having a girls' night out, this place is usually on my list. Whether it's my main dinner destination or just a stop for after-dinner drinks, I always end up back here in the lounge for a slice of Nanette's chocolate cake! Apps: The whipped ricotta and burrata are absolutely delicious. Soups: The lobster bisque is a different color than I'm used to, but the flavor is on point. Entree: The short rib bolognese is very flavorful. My only issue was that my portion had less meat than my friend's, so I hope they pay closer attention to portion sizes. Side: The truffle fries are tasty. Dessert: 100000% Nanette's chocolate cake! I've been ordering her cakes for years, and her dessert is always my top choice! Drinks: The Raspberry Bea's Knees is my first drink of choice, followed by the smoked espresso martini--always, ALWAYS the smoked espresso martini! Make sure they smoke it in front of you because that's how it's supposed to be presented. Atmosphere: Very speakeasy vibes. I love it because we NEED more places like this to stick around in Baton Rouge!

I'm a big foodie and the food was awful. We paid for the whole meal and maybe took two bites. We aren't big fans of causing a fuss and it was for a nice anniversary lunch. They did however give a nice table presentation with card for our special occasion. We also witnessed one of (what looked like) the managers belittling and berating two employees and telling them to go around back. The drinks were nice but that's about it. Wouldn't go back.

My daughter and I came here for dinner one night and we had Lauren LaMonica as an our server and…read moreshe was absolutely amazing. We got bread and spaghetti and she was so knowledgeable about everything and very tentative. When I come back she will be my server next time for sure. Also the bread, bread pudding, caprese salad are always a must when visitnf

I have only had catering from The Little Village, but wanted to take my daughter out to celebrate…read moreso we decided to go try it out. When we walked in, it was very elegant. Soft lighting and subdued music gave it an intimate feel. We decided to do an assortment of appetizers and desserts so we could try more things. We opted for 4 appetizers, the famous bread, a cup of a soup and two desserts with cappuccinos to complete our meal. You do have to pay for bread here, but trust me, you're going to want to. We got some red sauce to go with it, but we both personally preferred the bread without it. Next we got a cup of lobster bisque. The flavor was good , and there was a surprising heat to it, which honestly made me want to keep eating it. For appetizers, we ordered the seared ahi tuna, the eggplant stacks, the toasted ravioli and the beef manicotti. However, they were out of the manicotti so Joel suggested the seafood stuffed mushrooms, and I'm glad he did! I'm not a big mushroom fan, but I gladly ate these and would order them again. My complaint is that there are only three ... and I was sharing them. For dessert, we got the crème brûlée and the Italian brownie cake. The crème brûlée was perfection and the brownie cake was deliciously rich and satisfying. There are so many dishes that we want to try that we can't wait to go back!
