I've been Juicy's fan for many years which is why it was not easy to write this. The place is just not the same any more. The worst thing is that nobody cares. Some time ago they stopped putting black peppered bacon in Black and Bleu burger essentially eliminating the Black part of it. No menu note, no price change, nothing. I've mentioned it to one of the store managers and on Yelp - no reaction. Today I asked the girl taking my order if the black peppered bacon is back. She had no idea what I was talking about. I've driven by here for years and just now decided to stop in. I usually will order a regular burger to get a bench mark. I am pleased to say, this is a really good burger. Meat was very good and the bun was toasted just right wasn't a big fan of the fries, though, they weren't terrible. I did like the pot-o-beans at the end of the order counter. Found myself in Longview for work and as the evening rolled in I got hungry for dinner. Thanks to the Yelp App, I was able to find a few no chain, sounded decent options. Honestly, after the long drive, a greasy burger sounded good and some of the reviews noted this place as one of their favorites... In we went.. the place is nothing fancy at all. Pick what you want from the menu board (ie, some manually updates the menu with those little plastic letters!), get a buzzer, take a seat, pick up food once buzzers goes off. The menu includes, burgers, chicken, fried sides, a few salads... and of course the FREE beans that everyone seems to be crazy for. They are hanging out in a pot on the counter and you can just help yourself if you're dining in! I do enjoy baked beans and these were good, but wouldn't go crazy for them! Although, not sure I ever go crazy for beans?! For my dinner, I stuck with a classic cheeseburger and a side of tator tots. The burger was large... I was only able to eat half! It was good and was just as I was expecting for a burger on a griddle. It was truly made to order; thumbs up for that. The tator tots were fine - although could have used salt or something. Probably should have gotten fries. I don't expect to find myself in Longview again, but if I do and have a craving for a burger.. this is a decent place to grab a quick and very casual meal . read more

I was very, very surprised to find this gem out in Longview. They proclaimed to be the best burger in East Texas so I had to try. Athough I haven't tried many burger joints around, this place actually delivered on their promise when I got their spicy bandito burger and tater tots. That thing actually had a nice subtle kick to it. My friend got the fried chicken sandwich and the piece of chicken was almost the size of the whole basket holding it AND it was juicy. This is one of those staple burger joints in East Texas - I agree wholeheartedly with David H. _ HOW DID TEXAS MONTHLY MISS THIS?! I mean love shack in Fort Worth is cuisine while these are.... well... burgers! The burgers are fried, and this is obvious once you walk into the building - but the butcher paper that your burger is served on will be clean before you are done eating. The burgers are huge, so be prepared to eat a lot, share with a friend, or take some home. The fries are hand cut, so they still have a little bit of skin on them and they are crunchy. Not only do they have a great burger but offer complimentary side bowls of chili? If your not convinced order a whataburger and compare it to jucys. Whataburger had a dryed out bun, paper thin hamburger pattie a ton of lettuce and mustard. Meh.not worth the drive thru wait. For a really dog gone good burger, Jucy's is the spot here in Longview! I had a Bacon Cheeseburger that almost sent me to the hospital. It was that good...No pun intended, but I mean it was a really juicy, made from fresh ground beef, seasoned and cooked to perfection the old school way burgers were cooked. What else sent me spiraling into a comma were the all you can eat seasoned beans that were FREE! I love Southern hospitality, service was fast and friendly. The burger was outstanding. Would not change a thing about it. Nice pattie and fresh veggies. The fries are suspect. They use fresh fries so they need to use the double fry technique to get them crispy. Otherwise they will keep serving the limp things that they have now. Only thing that keeps them from five stars. For 7.99 I expect much more. The burger was thin, dry and overlooked. The cheese was processed and liquid poured on the burger (think velveeta). The bacon was flavorless. The Cajun spice was not spicy, just salty. The BBQ sauce tasted fine, and thankfully made up for the dry burger. I will not be back. read more

Battled morning sickness all day. All I wanted for dinner was a Jucy's cheeseburger and tator tots. Ordered a cheeseburger with mustard ONLY. tried to order a junior cheeseburger first-they don't serve those at this location. Not a huge deal. But it only went downhill from there. My husband spent 30 minutes in the drive thru. HOW. WHY. WHAT. When he finally made it home, the order was wrong. We did not receive the order of fries he ordered. My cheeseburger with mustard only was loaded down with veggies and...mayo. Blegh. Cue the morning sickness. Drove to Kilgore to visit family, they suggested Jucy's for lunch. I'd heard about it and said yes. Fresh cut french fries, a little soggy, but tasty, probably sitting for a while. Griddle toasted bun, nice. Half-pound burger, patty nice and crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, some type of special seasoning, very tasty. Now for something that drives me up the wall. Three nice size pickle slices, in one stack. Had to spread them out. Three nice size tomato slices, all in one stack. Had to spread them out. Nice portion of diced onion . . . that had fallen off into the basket. Had to put them back on the burger. Now my fingers smell of onion and pickle. Overall a good burger, better than most. My husband's family are longtime natives of East Texas and whenever we are in town we pass this place up and finally decided to stop in and give it a visit and i'm so glad we did! We split a bacon cheeseburger and added jalapeños. The burger was huge and filled both of us up nicely. The patty was very fresh and seasoned so well!!! The bacon was nice and crispy and the veggies were all fresh. I enjoyed the freshly brewed sweet tea and the fries were nice and crispy. Our daughter had a grilled cheese that she declared was "very JUCY". Reasons for four stars were that it's pretty pricey. 20 bucks for a bacon cheeseburger and kids meal. Really! Also there were no milkshakes and a burger like that would pair perfectly with a good thick milkshake. Review is for breakfast only. Highway 80 used to be my go to breakfast spot. Best omelette in town. All around fantastic country breakfast, with a Texas flair. Omelette's are no longer on the menu. They still have taquitos, but they're half the size (though still the same price). To be fair, I didn't try their new "scrambles", but I don't like scrambled eggs. My mom is in a nearby hospital so we decided to try this place out and see what all the fuss is about. The best part of the visit was the customer service, everyone we came in contact with was very friendly and personable. We ordered 2 chipotle chicken sandwiches (fried of course) fries and 2 drinks. While waiting on our food we had the complimentary beans which were great but how do you serve beans with no hushpuppies or cornbread? Anywho our food came and the sandwiches were huge we could have actually shared 1 sandwich. The chicken breast was tender but it lacked seasoning and the breading was falling off. The bun selection in my opinion was way off and the chipotle sauce was too sweet. The sandwich also needed red onion and even cheese it just didn't work for me. The fries were lifeless and just not what I expected. I guess maybe this was one of those times that we should have ordered what the establishment is famous for and that's a burger. Needless to say I probably won't return because even if I'd ordered the burger I'd been stuck with those terrible lifeless fries. read more
