I love visiting bakeries and donut shop in the woods where water taste good. Anywhere that has good water has great pastries. I found Judy's on Yelp and I walked in on a late morning on a Friday. There were 2 Asian women sitting at the tables where customers would normally enjoy donuts. One got up quickly and went behind the counter, the other lady sat on the table still talking loudly (in Vietnamese?) on the phone. I looked at the class case where donuts were arranged. And there were some different donuts left, all mishaped and not in bright vivid colors - just the way I like. I grabbed 1 raspberry burrito donut (wanted to try cream cheese but they ran out) because thats the popular one here. I also grabbed an apple fritter and old fashioned for my brother, and a twist for myself as those are the best ones to tell the quality of the dough. It was cash only, and I think I paid a bit under $7 for these 4. We walked out. And i bit into the raspberry burrito. As I bite into it, I tasted mass produced overly sweet type raspberry jam which was rolled inside round shape pie crust, that was fried to make outside crispy and like browned like tortilla then sugar glazed. My brother thought it was like canolli but tasted less crunchy or buttery to me. This tasted like a special treat to me. After eating away the burrito, I took a bite of twist. It was so light and fluffy, it felt like I was eating cotton candy of dough. This was really nice. I never had any twist this light and fluffy. It was even lighter than George's donut in Slidell, which was my favorite donut of all time. As I leave Bass Lake tomorrow, I will stop by here again for more donuts. And I may come by Oakhurst just for these donuts. read more

Love this place. This is our go-to breakfast place when we are heading out of Yosemite. Donuts and pastries are great (especially like the ham & cheese croissant). Place is not too busy (10am when we visited) and the service was prompt. Nice chill little place offering excellent donuts. read more

Great tasting donuts and wide variety! Hubs got the French crueller and claims it's got the texture of a cream puff with the taste of a donut. I had the apple rolled crepe which had the texture of a crepe with the taste of an apple pie. Small shop with big offerings! read more

I was excited to see the uniqueness of the donut burrito at Judy's when doing a yelp search but at 7:15 am on a Saturday morning they were all out!! The donut options were standard with all the favorites. The only reason for the reduced stars is the fact that coming in with 5 kids with individuals desires the ladies working were completely overwhelmed and just tried to force us on a mixed dozen rather than just bagging up the individual choices of each kid. After it took 3 attempts to ring up the order in which a forth ring up was needed because they forgot to charge us for the 2 coffees we ordered. read more

Driving out of Yosemite and wanted to stop somewhere along the way. Got a dozen donuts and some chocolate milk and sat down and ate. The donuts are light, airy and baked fresh every day. The blueberry and maple flavors are really nice and good spin on the classic donut. The store itself is small but has cute pink tables to sit at to eat donuts and drink coffee. read more

Stopped in to grab donuts on our last day in Oakhurst. Service was friendly and fast. We got two dozen donuts to go. They have a couple of tables inside but pretty small. The glazed donuts with any of the frostings and the French crullers were by far the best! They were both light and airy. Ended up eating more than I should have :-). We also got apple fritters, jelly donuts and cake donuts, they were good but will say the glazed and crullers were superior. The donuts were very fresh, so much so that we wrapped up our leftovers and ate over the next few days and they were still pretty good on day three. Only negative, $50 for two dozen but I guess you are in a small remote town in California. read more

That being said all the donuts we got were all good but the burrito donuts were not for me. We got a plain donut, Boston creme, and maple log. None of these were overly sweet which is what I fear most when getting donuts. We got both the apple and cream cheese burrito donuts. The outside to the burritos were flakey and crisp but the inside was a bit chewy giving it a weird texture overall. Me and my buddies were in town visiting Yosemite and we had an Airbnb rented out in the area, after a long and exhausting hike we needed some breakfast, and what better place than Judys Donuts. They only had a little variety but the donuts were absolutely fantastic. THe owner (I'm assuming Judy) even gave us some free donut holes! Very wholesome an friendly place overall. We usually go to these kind of parks annually so if we ever decide to visit Yosemite again, Judy's Donuts is our spot for breakfast. read more

We came late in the day so we were a little skeptical when there was only a few options left. We each got one donut and left and the second we took a bite we wished we could go back and get more. They were so soft and fresh and so delicious. So a couple days later we stopped in and got a half dozen so we could get our fill before leaving town. I came a few days ago on my way home from a short Yosemite trip, and had to try the donut burrito that people are raving about! Luckily, they had 3 left, and their donut lot was WIPED OUT. Mind you, it was only about noon or so. The cream cheese one was nice and not overly sweet or overpowering, but the raspberry one was a little cloying for me. These are literally what look like tortillas fried then glazed like a donut, and filled. You don't taste the tortilla tho, but it is quite heavy. It was good to try; I'd love to try their other donuts next time. What really amped it up to a 5star review is the service. The lady was so sweet! read more
