Classic roadside diner with friendly and attentive staff serving up delicious, hearty food. Dined on a recent Sunday morning (8:30A) as a party of three and the place was more than half full, with several family groups dining in. We didn't wait long after ordering for our dishes to come out. Our server was quite energetic and checked in often to top off our coffees, no doubt anticipating an impending breakfast rush. I quite enjoyed The Trucker and was pleasantly surprised by the big, fluffy biscuit slathered with country gravy, a breakfast favorite! I ended up taking most of the biscuit home with the sausages because I ate the eggs, bacon, and fruit there. My dining partners enjoyed their dishes as well, and if we're visiting in the area again, we would happily dine in again.

Corned beef hash was the BEST I've ever had, finely chopped and crispy!!

The service and ambiance was everything we were looking for in for a small diner vibe. The food was phenomenal and the best corned beef hash and chicken fried steak I've had in a long time!!

The old school diner vibe is alive and well here...

We stopped in for lunch today. I ordered a French Dip and my wife ordered the California Chicken Sandwich. We both had fries with our meals. The portions were definitely generous. A lot of beef on my sandwich for sure! The roll it was served on was kind of a variation of a Dutch Crunch. The fries were fresh, hot, and crispy! Service was good. Anything we asked for was served straightaway. The only thing that might have been nice would have been to have drink refills offered, other than that, everything was great. The decor is kind of old school diner, reminds me of the places my parents used to take me when I was a little kid. I enjoyed the mental stroll down memory lane. Prices are not cheap. But nothing in our state is anymore. It was close to $40 for two sandwiches and an iced tea. I won't hold it against 'em, I'm sure we'll be back. LOL

Judy's junction has theee best southwest chicken salad! Along with their house made southwest dressing! I wanted something light and small so I opted for a salad. There was nothing small or light about this salad though! Super delish, has me craving it! It's hard to find a good, flavorful salad nowadays.

    The huge corned beef dish.

I was going down the roadway and I spotted the joint as I passed it. Being hungry, I decided to turn around. The place looks a bit rundown from the outside and the interior wasn't updated a well. It has a country kitchen theme and it works for them. I saw that the corned beef hash as homemade, who's home I don't know, but I gave it a chance. What came was voluminous, so for those of you who love lots of food, this is your place. The dish was above average and if I'm ever in the area again, I'd probably order it again, but I wouldn't make a special trip for it. The place is good value and the bottom line is, it's a competent place for food that'll stick to your ribs.

Judys is always the best breakfast in Lake County. In fact, I'm driving up there from the City of Clearlake tomorrow to eat there.

And although only one of the two heat lamps were working - it was still worth being cold! We loved the little downtown surrounding area - walkable, fun different shops to explore. Food was absolutely delicious. We were ALL happy with our respective meals. And we even had to get some pastries to go as they looked way too good to pass on. My groups faves: biscuits and gravy, Huevos Rancheros and omelets; We took home cookies and a Danish to go as well!! Service was fast, fun and friendly. Our waiter was extremely kind and patient with my Aunt that was super indecisive and had a ton of questions. He kept things light and gently teased her - and got all of our orders exactly right. That's priceless!

Had a great lunch after an 18-hour fast. Started with a cappuccino, warm, comforting. So many choices to choose from their extensive menu. While most everyone was having brunch, I chose to get a cup of their soup of the day. Served with homemade wheat toast from the bakery. Thai green curry soup was delicious. I also had the Caesar salad with chicken. You can tell a great Caesar by the quality of the dressing. It was thick and creamy and coats each piece of Romaine lettuce nicely. I have no doubt the croutons were homemade. Love places that give lemon wedges with the salad. Everything I ate was delicious. The service from the staff was also excellent. I have been staying away from sweets since January so skipped the baked goods altogether. I will come back next time I'm in town.

I must say, it exceeded all our expectations! We arrived slightly early, and as we waited a friendly gentleman approached us inquiring if we needed assistance. Though the restaurant had not yet opened, he kindly spoke with the staff on our behalf. He invited us to sit in the charming, shaded courtyard. Which was perfect especially since we were accompanied by our sweet Boston Terrier. Our server Kameron was exceptional, attentive, knowledgeable, and delightful. She shared fascinating details about the historic buildings and their connection to the hotel, providing us with a booklet recounting the intriguing story of the Tallman family's legacy. Kameron also recommended the Blue Wings with a sweet-spicy Asian glaze as an appetizer. Without a doubt, the best chicken wings I have ever tasted! Her suggestion was spot on, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. My husband ordered the Fish & Chips, while I savored the Crispy Chicken Salad. Both dishes prepared to perfection. Our dog Winnie was treated to a generous beef dog patty. An impressive patty that left her a very happy girl. Our experience with Kameron truly made us fall in love with Tallman's. So much so that before leaving, I immediately made a reservation for July. The same courteous gentleman who initially greeted us was there to assist with this, offering to reserve a dinner reservation for the evening we arrive. He even offered to show us one of their dog-friendly Main Street Suites. The suite was absolutely stunning. The hospitality we received throughout our visit was exemplary. I am now more excited about our upcoming stay at Tallman's than even our planned trip to the beach house in Fort Bragg. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Blue Wing Saloon and the Tallman Hotel to anyone seeking outstanding service, exceptional food, and drinks!

We ordered pasta dishes (the Alfredo and the ravioli with white sauce), and both sauces were extremely bland. They were watery, almost milk-like, and had virtually no flavor. It was really surprising because this restaurant used to be known for its great food. We didn't say anything while we were there because it was only about 30 minutes before closing, and we didn't want to be those customers or inconvenience the staff. We simply paid our bill and left. Since the new ownership, it's clear that something has changed. Whether it's the menu, ingredients, or chef, the heart of this place doesn't seem to be the same anymore. It's disappointing because this used to be one of our go-to spots. I hope the new owners take customer feedback to heart and make improvements, because we'd love to see Blue Wing return to what made it so special.
