I got the Montevideo pitaya bowl and açaí bowl (total around $20). They have 2 kinds of pitaya bowls. The shop is too small for strollers. About 10 people max can fit. It was super crowded on a Saturday. They play Spanish music and it's very lively and fun. They sell fresh fruit outside in baskets. They sell fresh juices that are pre-packed and in the fridge (ready to grab) and some healthy bowls. They also have dried corn and plantain chips. They don't have a very organized ordering system. The guy writes down your order on a post-it note then hands it off or sticks it somewhere where he thinks the juice maker will see it. The room was too small to wait in but I was worried that if I waited outside, they wouldn't call my name. There is no indoor seating. There are some areas to sit in the train/bus station attached but it doesn't belong to JUGOS. read more

Definitely the best juice bar in Boston. They have such a great selection of juices, smoothies, to-go food, and acai bowls. I've also done the juice-detox from them twice and although it was slightly pricey, it was well worth it. The space is very small and they do make everything fresh so expect to wait. My favorites are the Kalik smoothie, Tuna wrap, Plantain chips, La Rosa juice, & basically all of the acai bowls. I have had trouble finding great acai bowls outside of warmer, tropical climates. Jugos was no different. The bowl was decent but not great. I ordered the "Kai", which blended the acai base with strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, and banana. It was tangy, sour because of the berries. I like it that way. On the other hand, the base has a texture more like a smoothie than the more solid ones I prefer, similar to sorbets. The granola on top was good but nothing special. The blueberries were big and delicious. In my experience, a great honey really puts an acai bowl over the top. The "Kai" did not feature any. Got my first acai bowl ever today from jugos! I was amazed by how fresh and original it tastes. I ordered Kai, which is the berry-heavy one with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, banana and granola on top of the berry acai. I found it very refreshing. I also had #6 juice (spinach, kale, apple and lemon). No added flavors/sugar at all and you can taste the original sourness from the apple. The chia puddings and yogurt parfait look delicious as well. Overall the menu is very vegan and healthy. Definitely a go-to place for fresh smoothies and acai bowls, especially when you are in the mood for some light and healthy food. - 4-star cuz its slightly pricey (for broke college kids.) I am a loyal regular at Jugos. I come in here at least once or twice a week since it's delicious, healthy, and I work nearby. My personal favorite is the Waka Waka smoothie. It's an incredible combination of raspberries, strawberries, bananas, and coconut in cashew milk. I like that the Waka Waka is blended with cashew milk and not fruit juice because that saves me from the extra sugar I don't need. Everything on the menu is vegan, fresh, and delicious. I am very proud of their healthy menu. I feel like I'm having a cheat meal, but everything here is so healthy and fresh! Jugos is the perfect way to 'treat yo' self' without sacrificing your health. Additionally, the service at Jugos is excellent! The staff is always friendly and they're FAST. The line moves very quickly. I recently received a punch card that gives me 1 free 16 ounce smoothie with the purchase of 10 items. That's ITEMS, not PURCHASES. If I buy a smoothie and an acai bowl, that's 2 items and 2 punches on my card. I come here so often I feel they may lose money on this punch card deal with me lol. I'm in love with this adorable little juice stand tucked in the corner of back bay station! I can't believe I found it after 5 months of working about a 3 minute walk away, but I'm stoked that I did! I tried the Sao Paola bowl - acai blended with bananas, raw cacao, and cashews and topped with coconut, banana, granola, and cacao nibs - and the avocado toast. In hindsight, I should have only gotten one item because both were super filling alone. The bowl is the perfect consistency, creamy but not too thick, and has a delicious chocolatey flavor. It was almost reminiscent of a much healthier Wendy's frosty. The avocado toast is a total hidden gem and maybe my new favorite in Boston (beating out Dig Inn's!) They split a WHOLE avocado on two slices of thick, whole grain toast and let it shine with only some salt and red pepper. I could make this myself, sure, but it's definitely delicious. I also tried a bit of my friend's pitaya bowl, which was bright magenta and very creamy. I know I'm going to be a regular here! Trying to find a nearby place for a pitaya bowl , read all the hyped reviews so I decided to give it a shot. It's a small to go place inside the back bay station on Dartmouth street. I decided to order the Santo Domingo pitaya bowl off the menu. Waited a few minutes for my order and i was surprised that the bowl was pretty tiny compared to playa now by Boston college . The pitaya was not cold and it was gooey , all the recipes that came with it was not what I expected . I was disappointed with the taste and the fruits they Blended with the warm gooey pitaya. This is now the only place where I will get my fresh smoothies and juices. For smoothies, you can't go wrong. I would definitely recommend the xochitl, percy, and pirlo. But seriously, get anything. You won't be disappointed. For juices, I look in the fridge and get weirded out by the separation in the premade bottles and the fact that expiration date listed is usually on the same day. I usually ask for a juice from the menu in bottled form, and they happily oblige. They also taste much fresher than the premade bottled juices. The Sao Paolo bowl is killer. There's chocolate/banana smoothie topped with cacao nibs and fruit. This is definitely my favorite bowl so far! I also had the kai acai bowl, and although the fresh fruit toppings were great, I thought the acai itself was pretty watery and bland. I love Juice and I'm so glad they are conveniently located in the station where I can grab my usual (#7 Signature juice) on the way to work. The staff are friendly and work as quickly as they can to serve you. As far as quality, I see them chopping up the fruits and veggies and pressing the juice right before my eyes. Not only can I see the freshness, I can smell it and that is what made me a believer. I spend about $7/day on a large juice, but they let me customize at no extra cost and though it's 2-3x the price of a cup o' Joe from the Dunkos a few yards away, it's so much healthier in the long run. They even have a punch card that earns you a free smoothie or juice if you come regularly. The only things that stop me from giving five stars are: - Price is a little high - Sometimes there is a line because of short staffing - Orders sometimes get mixed up when they are busy - Occasionally, residue from the juice of the customer before me makes its way in to my order because they don't clean the machine with water between orders (potential allergy issue for some customers) I realize the business is new and still working out several kinks. I have high hopes and will keep coming back. I went with a Fresco, one of the seasonal blends consisting of pear, green apple, cucumber and lime - mildly sweet, very palatable and loaded with nutrients. For those relatively new to veggie juices, I'd recommend transitioning gradually by including some fruits as the flavors of pure liquified veggies can be overpowering (I learned that the hard way...). The prices are indeed steep, but you'll be hard-pressed to find such concoctions anywhere else unless you make your way out to Life Alive. It was jam-packed with 5 people in front of me when I came in - a very positive sign. It gave me a few minutes to order. 3 types of drinks: juice, smoothies and superfood smoothies (more expensive than the regular smoothies, but included but harder to find ingredients such as goji berries, bee pollen, maca, etc.) I ordered a xochitl smoothie (pronounced "so chill") - kale, banana, date, strawberry, apple cider -- sooo good. They also offer frequent buyer cards (sweet! Though I'm an out-of-towner and only here for 5 days, who knows - I may be back). I thought it was cool they also had a proposed juice cleanse package. Tons of drinks you could buy premade like kombucha (G.T.'s Kombucha), Inca Cola (what? Peruvian cola in Boston) and Aloe Yogort drink - among many things. The only drawback? Nothing like Thanksgiving (and the many l'm-going-to-eat-all-the-leftovers-days following it) to make you crave a green drink (#amiright!?). So, after I got out of my Crossfit class, I decided to scope out the nearest juice bar. Jugos was only a .2 mile walk away (or .5 miles if you can't follow directions like some people #justme #shouldhavetakenaleft). The shop is teeny tiny. It's not a sit down place, like I had hoped. It's literally a counter, some shelves with snacks (plantain chips!) and a couple refrigerators with pre-bottled drinks. There is space for maybe five people to fit in front of the counter/cashier, which got to be a bit too comfy as people stacked up waiting for their drinks. I'm not sure if it was due to the volume at the particular time, but the service was slow. Slooooooow. Someone in line wanted to purchase a pre-bottled drink and after standing in line for 10ish minutes gave up. I ordered the Lo Macho (#givemeallthegreens). This drink was perfect. It had a hint of sweetness, but for the most part it tasted like a health kick in a to-go cup. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out, but be prepared to wait. Tucked away in the corner of Back Bay station, JUGOS is probably one of the best known "holes in the wall" of Boston. They're very authentic and offer a wide range of options, from smoothies to juices to acai bowls to food like chia pudding, toast, Greek yogurt, fruit, and more. The people are always nice, though albeit a bit rushed (understandable, since the lines can get crazy on weekend mornings and just in general). Grab a menu to look at while you're in line! I think their acai bowls are the classic Brazilian style, but a little more watery than I'd personally like them to be. Their smoothies are good as well. I came here with my sister and we were really excited to try their acai bowls since it's not like we're in LA where you can find acai anything on every corner of the street. The line was really long and the price actually surprised me. Why? Because the acai bowl didn't taste as good as I thought it would.
